Installation

Install the PCI Express Card

WARNING!

Static electricity can cause severe damage to PCI Express cards. Ensure proper

grounding before opening the computer case or touching the PCI Express card. Use

an Anti-Static Strap when installing any computer component. If an Anti-Static Strap

isn’t available, discharge built-up static electricity by touching a large grounded metal

surface for several seconds. Handle the PCI Express card by its edges, avoiding contact

with the gold connectors.

Verify the Driver Installation

Windows

1. Navigate to the .Device Manager

2. Under Network Adapters Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller, right-click and click

Properties.

3. Conrm that the is installed and working as expected.Driver

Linux

1. Run from the command line.lsmod | grep r8168

2. Verify that the is present in the command line. Driver

6. Gently insert the into the open and fasten the PCI Express Card PCI Express Slot

Bracket Computer Case to the back of the .

Note: If the PCI Express Card needs to be installed into a Small Form Factor or a

Low-Prole Desktop System, it may be necessary to replace the pre-installed standard

Full-Height Bracket with the included Low-Prole Bracket.

7. Return the back onto the .Cover Computer Case

8. Reconnect the to the back of the .Power Cable Computer

9. Reconnect all of the that were disconnected in .Peripheral Devices Step 3

10. Turn on the and .Computer Peripheral Devices

Install the Driver
