1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm

Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialised
company for recycling.
This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.
Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.
Thank you for buying the CRC1001! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the
device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Setting up the Unit
Look up the correct code for the model and brand of your device in the code list (at the back of the included booklet).
Hold SET and press the device key (TVTXT1, TVTXT2, VCR1, VCR2, SAT/CBL, CBL/SAT or HIFI/CD/LD). The LED
will light up. Enter the 3-digit code and press POWER. You should now be able to operate all functions of the device
you have selected. You probably have the wrong code if this is not the case. Repeat this procedure with other codes
from the list until you find the right code.
Do not wait longer than 10 seconds to execute the next step. Certain codes will enable you to operate some
functions, but not all of them. We advise you to keep searching until you find the code that allows you to operate all
functions.
Press any key to quit the setting.
3. The “Quick Search” Function
If the correct code could not be found, try the “Quick Search” function.
Press the POWER button on the device you would like to control. Hold SET and press the device key (TVTXT1,
TVTXT2, VCR1, VCR2, SAT/CBL, CBL/SAT or HIFI/CD/LD). The LED will light up. Press SET again to enable the
“Quick Search” function. The LED will be blinking. Press POWER to set the code for the next device. If the code is
correct, you should be able to switch ON/OFF the device (TVTXT1, TVTXT2, VCR1, VCR2, SAT/CBL, CBL/SAT or
HIFI/CD/LD) with the POWER button of the CRC1001. You should now be able to operate all functions of the device
you have selected except for the SET and PLAY buttons for your VCR & HIFI/CD/LD. You probably have the wrong
code if this is not the case. Repeat this procedure with other codes from the list until you find the right code.
Some devices are not very sensitive to the signal. You can reverse the direction of the code search in the “Quick
Search” mode by pressing SET. The factory setting for the direction of the search is “forward”.
Do not wait longer than 30 seconds to execute the next step.
