M-22 RD
This set operates on AC (230V ~ 50Hz) or DC12V (UM-2 1.5V x 8)
AC OPERATION:
Connect at the back of the unit (24) the AC power cord provided before insert into a
convenient standard AC outlet.
IMPROTANT
Make sure that button (1) is set to OFF position before connecting the AC cord
orinserting batteries.
USING ON batteries
Open the lid of the battery compartment (23) on the bottom and insert 8PCS (size C/
UM2) batteries (not supplied), with the + and – marks correctly aligned, then close the lid.
To switch from AC power supply to battery power supply, disconnect the AC cord from
the AC inlet, then disconnect main unit.
The batteries need to be replaced when:
The volume decreases, or sound is distorted during operation.
Notes on batteries
• Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.
• Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.
• Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like.
Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
NOTE: In order to avoid leakage, always remove the batteries when unit will not be
used for a long period of time.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Set the Function switch (1) to RADIO position, the POWER indication light will light up.
2. Select AM / FM by selecting the Band switch (9)
3. Select your radio station by the TUNING control (10) and adjust the volume
control(2) to your desired sound level.
For best reception:
FM: Extend and rotate the antenna (3).When in stereo mode and the stereo
broadcast is received FM stereo indicator (13) lights up.
AM: This unit is equipped with a built-in directional ferrite antenna, move and rotate
the unit.
4. To stop listening to the radio, set the function switch (1) to OFF position.
LISTENING TO CD / MP3-CD
1. Switch (1) to CD/USB/AUX position. The display (12) will show “NO”. If no disc is loaded.
2. Insert the disc (Label side up) in the CD compartment (6&7).The total number of tracks
is displayed (12). Then it starts to play automatically and “ icon shows on display. (if
insert a MP3-CD,”MP3” icon will show on display (12).Adjust the volume level (2).
3. Press (22) to suspend momentarily the playing track, the current track number
will blink. Press (22) once again to resume playing.
4. Press ■ (21) to stop listening to the disc.
OTHER CD PLAYER FUNCTIONS
SKIP/ SEARCH DOWN & SKIP/SEARCH UP (15&16).
1. Press (16) to skip forward to the next track or repeatedly to skip several tracks.
2. Press (15) return to the beginning of the track, or press repeatedly to skip
backwards several tracks.
3. Press 10+ button(17) to allow you to advance 10 tracks at a time (10+).
For example, if Track 1 is playing and 10+ is pressed, it will take you to Track 11
(1+10 = 11). You may press 10+ repeatedly to advance forward 10 tracks at
a time. (For example, when on Track 1, press once to Track 11 (1+10 = 11). Press
again to Track 21 (11+10 = 21).) If there are less than 10 higher tracks available, CD
will go back to the last track.
4.Press and hold or (15&16) to search quickly within a track.
PLAY MODE
In CD/MP3 mode, press (20) repeatedly to select among: MODE
• REPT.1- Repeats current track.
• REPT. ALL - Repeats the entire disc.
• INT. – Introduce the beginning of each track for 10 seconds.
• RAN. - Random playback.
• Off - Normal playback.
Note: In programmed playback mode, INTRODUCTION and RANDOM play modes
cannot be selected.
PROGRAM (19): To set your own musical program when the unit is STOP state.
1. Insert the disc (6 & 7). The total number of tracks in displayed. (12).
2. Press (19), the “PROG." icon show on the display with blinking “P01”
3. Select with or (15 & 16) your desired track, then press (19) to store your
program in memory. Redo this operation as many times as necessary .20 tracks can
be memorized. (99 tracks for MP3 disc).
4. Press (22) to start playing program mode, the “PROG.”& “► ” and programmed
track no. will show on display (12).
5. Press ■(21) to stop the disc. Press again to cancel the programmed tracks, and
the “PROG.” icon will go off, display goes back to show the total number of tracks.
NOTE ON COMPACT DISCS
• Do not use irregular shape CDs (example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones). It may
result in malfunctions.
• Do not place more than one disc in the disc compartment.
• Do not try to open the disc compartment during playing.
• Do not touch the lens. Doing so may cause malfunction.
• CD-Rs or CD-RWs playback capability at this player may vary depending on quality
of media, CD-Burner, speed of burning and application software.
USB PLAYBACK
1. Slide the function switch (1) to CD/USB/AUX position.
2. Connect your USB device to USB connector (18).
3. Long press ■ STOP/USB button(21) to select USB mode, icon “USB” is displayed.
4. The total number of track shows on display and it will start to play automatically.
5. Press or (15/16) to skip forward or backward a track. Press and hold or
(15/16) to search quick current track backward or forward respectively. Adjust volume
(2) to your desired level .
6. Press (22) to pause playback and press again to resume. Press ■ (21) to stop playing.
7. The repeat and program function can be done to USB playing, please refer to
section “LISTENING TO CD/MP3-CD”.
8. Turn (1) button to turn off the unit. USB playback stops automatically.
Note:
- This unit might not support all the USB devices
.- Do not put anything other than a USB drive into the USB port. Other objects may
damage the USB mechanism.

CAUTION! This set uses a laser beam. To prevent any accident due to this type of
beam, the set should only be opened by properly trained personnel.
The unit conforms to the international safety specications and to guide lines of the
European community and also complies with current standards concerning electrical
safety and electro-magnetic compatibility EMC.
WARNINGS
ATTENTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
remove the cover. There are no user serviceable parts inside
the unit. Refer all servicing to qualied personnel.
PRECAUTIONS
Object and liquid entry-Take care that objects or liquids do not get inside the unit
through the ventilation openings.
Condensation-Moisture may form on the CD Pickup lens when:
-The unit is moved from a cold spot to a warm spot
-The heating system has just been turned on
-The unit is used in a very humid room
-The unit is cooled by an air conditioner
When this unit has condensation inside, it may not function normally. Should this
occur, leave the unit for a few hours, then try to operate again.
Electric Power
1 Power sources
-Use AC house current, as specied in the Operating instructions and marked on the unit.
2 AC power cord
-When disconnecting the AC power cord, pull it out by the AC power plug. Do not pull
the cord itself.
-Never handle the AC power plug with wet hands, as this could result in re or electric shock.
-Power cords should be rmly secured to avoid being bent, pinched, or walked upon.
Pay particular attention to the cord from the unit to the power socket.
-Avoid overloading AC power plug and extension cords, beyond their capacity, as this
could result in re or electric shock.
3 When not in use-
Unplug the AC power cord from the AC outlet if the unit will not be used for several
months or more. When the cord is plugged in a small amount of current continues to
ow to the unit, even when the power is turned off.
If at any time in the future you should need to dispose of this product please
note that Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household
waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your Local Authority
or retailer for recycling advice. (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Directive.)

The exclamation point within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of
important instructions accompanying the product.
CAUTION: Invisible laser radiation when open and interlocks defeated. Avoid
exposure to beam.
WARNING- To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not expose this appliance
to rain or moisture.

IMPORTANT
-Do not throw batteries in re!
-Do not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and that no object lled with liquids,
such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
-Under the inuence of electrical fast transient or/and electrostatic phenomenon, the
product may malfunction and required user to power reset.
-Mains plug is used as the disconnect device and it shall remain readily operable. To
be completely disconnected the power input, the mains plug of the apparatus shall be
disconnected from the mains completely. The mains plug should not be obstructed or
should be easily accessed during intended use.
-Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal; the use
of apparatus in moderate climates.
-No naked ame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the apparatus.
-The marking information is located at the bottom of apparatus.
-Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like.
-The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with
items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc.
Heat
Heat-Do not use this unit near sources of heat, including heating vents, stoves, or
other appliances that generate heat.
Mounting surface- Place the unit on a at, even surface.
Wall mounting- To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the
oor/wall in accordance with the installation instructions.
Ventilation-The unit should be situated with an adequate space around it so that
proper heat ventilation is assured. Allow 10cm (4 in.) clearance from the near and the
top of the unit and 5 cm (2in.) from each side.
-Do not place the unit on a bed, rug, or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings.
-Do not install the unit in a bookcase, cabinet, or airtight rack where ventilation may
be impeded.
1. Slide the function switch (1) to CD/USB/AUX position.
2. Plug one end of cable (not included) into the LINE IN jack of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the cable into the Headphone or Line Out jack of the external source.
4. Power on the appliance and begin play.
5. Adjust the volume to desired level.
6.To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the LINE IN jack.
