IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING!
2. Check that the voltage in your home corresponds to that stated
on the appliance.
3. Do no touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
4. To protect against electrical shocks do not immerse cord, plugs,
or the appliance in water or any liquid.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near
children.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before cleaning the appliance.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or
after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any
manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
12. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
13. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot liquids.
14. A fire may occur if the cooking plate is covered or touching
flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the
like, when in operation.
15. To disconnect, turn any control to "MIN" or "OFF", then remove
plug from wall outlet.
Never put metal objects such as knives,
forks, spoons or lids on the plate as these might get very hot.
16. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the
cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord
around the appliance and do not bend it.

17. Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface. Do not let the
cord hang.
18. Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and
storing it.
19. Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts
of the appliance.
20. The temperature of the surfaces may be very high when the
appliance is in use. Never touch those surfaces during use, and
only handle the buttons. After use, the ceramic plate may still be
hot for a while, depending on how long it has been heating.
Avoid contact with this surface.
21. Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with
inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in
use, as a fire might occur.
22. Your appliance is equipped with an internal cooling system for
which the ventilation openings need to be clean and they should
never be obstructed. Check their state regularly and clean them
if necessary.
23. Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use.
24. Be extremely careful, as oil or fat preparations might catch fire
when overheated.
25. When using the appliance under an extractor hood, make sure to
observe the minimal distance advised by the producer. It is even
wiser to double this distance.
26. Let about 10cm / 4 inches of free space around the appliance in
order to allow proper air circulation.
27. Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked.
28. Never use receptacles in terracotta, glass, aluminium or copper,
but only use receptacles especially made or compatible with
induction cooking plates. Moreover, these receptacles must have
a flat bottom with a diameter between 12cm and 26cm (4.5 to
10.3 inches).
29. Do not place the induction cooking plate next to devices or
objects which react sensitively to magnetic fields (e.g. radios, TVs,
cassette recorders, etc.).
30. Do not place any magnetic objects like credit cards, cassettes
etc. on the glass surface while the device is in operation.
31. Immediately unplug the appliance if a crack appears and
make sure it is controlled by a qualified electrician or the
aftersales service of the manufacturer.
