IMPORTANT SAFETY RULES
When installing and using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following.

β’ Risk of Accidental Drowning. Extreme caution must be exercised to prevent unauthorized access by
children. To avoid accidents, ensure that children cannot use this spa unless they are supervised at all
times.
β’ Risk of drowning. Inspect the spa cover regularly for leaks, premature wear and tear, damage, or signs of
deterioration. Never use a worn or damaged cover: it will not provide the level of protection required to
prevent unsupervised access to the spa by a child.
β’ Risk of injury. Replace damaged cord immediately. Do not bury cord. Connect to a grounded, grounding
type receptacle only.
β’ Risk of Injury. The suction ξΏttings in this spa are sized to match the speciξΏc water ξow created by the
pump. Should the need arise to replace the suction ξΏttings or the pump, be sure that the ξow rates are
compatible.
β’ To reduce the risk of injury, do not remove the suction ξΏttings. Never operate a spa or hot tub if the suction
ξΏttings are loose, broken, damaged, cracked or missing. Replace immediately. Never replace a suction
ξΏtting with one rated less than the ξow rate marked on the original suction ξΏtting.
β’ To reduce the risk of drowning from hair and body entrapment, install a suction ξΏtting(s) with a marked ξow
rate that equals or exceeds the ξow rate marked on the equipment assembly.
β’ Ensure power outlet current & voltage is suitable for the electrical equipment. Never use an extension cord.
β’ Risk of Electric Shock. Install at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from all metal surfaces. As an alternative, a spa may
be installed within 5 feet (1.5 m) of metal surfaces if each metal surface is permanently connected by a
minimum 8 AWG (8.4 mm2) solid copper conductor to the wire connector on the terminal box that is
provided for this purpose.
β’ Risk of Electric Shock. Do not permit any electric appliance, such as a light, telephone, radio, or television,
within 5 feet (1.5 m) of a spa or hot tub.
β’ Risk of Electric Shock. Do not use the spa when it is raining, thundering or lightning.
β’ A wire connector is provided on this unit to connect a minimum 8 AWG (8.4 mm2) solid copper conductor
between this unit and any metal equipment, metal enclosures of electrical equipment, metal water pipe, or
conduit within 5 feet (1.5 m) of the unit.
β’ To reduce the risk of drowning and injury, do not permit children to use this product unless they are closely
supervised at all times.
β’ To reduce the risk of child drowning, attach and lock spa cover after each use.
β’ To reduce the risk of drowning and injury:
a) Never use the spa alone or allow others to use the spa alone.
b) Before entering a spa or hot tub, the user should measure the water temperature with an accurate
thermometer since the tolerance of water temperature-regulating devices varies.
c) The water in a spa should never exceed 104Β°F (40Β°C). Water temperatures between 100Β°F (38Β°C) and
104Β°F (40Β°C) are considered safe for a healthy adult. Lower water temperatures are recommended for
young children and when spa use exceeds 10 minutes.
d) Pregnant and possible pregnant women should consult a physician before using a spa or hot tub.
e) Since excessive water temperatures have a high potential for causing fetal damage during the early months
of pregnancy, pregnant or possibly pregnant women should limit spa water temperatures to 100Β°F (38Β°C) .
Do not stay in spa for longer than 10 minutes.
f) The use of alcohol, drugs, or medication before or during spa use may lead to unconsciousness with the
possibility of drowning.
g) Obese persons and persons with a history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory system
problems, or diabetes should consult a physician before using a spa.
h) Persons using medication should consult a physician before using a spa since some medication may
induce drowsiness while other medication may aοect heart rate, blood pressure, and circulation.
i) Check with a doctor before use if pregnant, diabetic, in poor health, or under medical care.
