MOTORCYCLE SERVICE LIFT ADAPTER KIT FOR DYNA TC88 MODELS
General
This kit is designed for 1999 and later Dyna TC88 model
motorcycles to be used with Motorcycle Service Lift (P/N
94653-98) and Motorcycle Cleaning Stand (P/N 94652-98).
Before using your adapter kit, it is your responsibility to read
and follow these installation and operating instructions
Harley Davidson strongly recommends that the
following procedures be performed by 2 people. Failure
to follow instructions can result in death or serious
injury.
This kit consists of the following components:
Qty DESCRIPTION PART No.
3 Frame lift adapter not sold
1 Frame leveling
extrusion not sold
Installation
A Service Manual for your motorcycle is available at your
Harley-Davidson Dealer.
1. See Figure 1. Position the motorcycle on a straight and
level surface. While the bike rests on the Jiffy Stand,
straighten the front wheel and place the frame leveling
extrusion under the front tire to keep the tire straight.
2. Slide the motorcycle lift (fully lowered) under the bike
from the right side (opposite jiffy stand side) lining up
the frame rails with each of the perpendicular jacking
rails on the lift. When properly aligned, the left frame rail
will be approximately 1” from the lift end section (Figure
2) and lift base will be adjacent to the Jiffy Stand (Figure
3). This will allow bike to be centered when moved to an
upright position.

3. See Figure 4. Install one frame lift adapter to the right
front frame rail. When properly installed, frame lift
adapter should butt against frame/footpeg support as
shown.
4. Holding motorcycle securely, carefully lean the bike
slightly to the right and install one of the frame lift
adapters to the left front frame rail (Figure 5) and one
frame lift adapter to the left rear frame rail (Figure 6).
Note that rear frame lift adapter follows the frame rail at
an angle inward under the bike.
5. Recheck overall position of lift. Frame lift adapters
should be centered over lift rails. Release friction pad
latch as shown in Figure 7.

6. With one person still holding the bike upright, raise the
lift rails slightly so that the frame lift adapters begin to
contact the lift rails, making sure the adapters are
“square” to the frame. Figure 8. illustrates the left side
frame lift adapters in the correct position during initial lift
contact.
7. With one person holding the bike securely, remove
frame leveling extrusion from under the front tire, tilt bike
to the left and slide frame leveling extrusion (“U” section
up) between the right rear frame and the lift rail as
shown in Figure 9.
RAISING LIFT
1. With one person holding the bike securely, slowly raise
lift until the motorcycle wheels are off the ground and lift
is in position for work. Make sure the bike is balanced on
the lift rails.
2 Install 4 Hog Ties™ (2 per side) according to procedures
provided in the Motorcycle Lift Instructions. Figure 10.
illustrates Hog Ties™ installed.
LOWERING LIFT
1. See Figure 11. With Jiffy Stand extended, slowly lower
lift until tires are on ground and a gap exists between the
frame lift adapters and the upper portion of the lift rails.
2. Remove Hog TiesTM according to procedures provided in
the Motorcycle Lift Instructions.
Make sure to remove all frame lift adapters prior to riding
the motorcycle. Failure to remove lift adapters can result
in loss of control resulting in death or serious injury.
Removal
1. Carefully lean the bike to the right and remove frame lift
adapters from the left frame rail.
2. Carefully lean the bike to the left and remove frame lift
adapter and frame leveling extrusion from right frame
rail.
3. Lower the motorcycle lift completely and rest the bike on
the Jiffy Stand. Lock the friction pad lever latch to allow
movement of the lift.
4. Pull out lift from under motorcycle.
