Bluetooth Speaker

Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct
and then save it for future reference. We reserve theright for
any errors in text or images and any necessary changes made
to technicaldata. In theevent of technical problems or other
queries, please contact our Customer Services.
Safety
Thespeaker may be used by children aged 8 or over
provided they have been instructed in thesafe use of
theproduct and that they understand thehazards and
risks involved. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried
out by children aged 8 or over, but only under adult
supervision. Keepthespeaker out of reach of children
under theage of 8.
Thespeaker may be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capability, lack of experience
or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety, provided
they have been instructed in thesafe use of theproduct
and understand thehazards involved. Neverlet children
play with thespeaker.
Thespeaker should not be taken apart or modified. Nevertry
to open thecasing of thespeaker. Thecasing houses
dangerous current-carrying non-insulated components.
Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation with adistance
of at least 5 cm between ventilation ports and thesurrounding
area is necessary to prevent thespeaker from overheating.
Place thespeaker on astable,at surface.
Do not place thespeaker where it could fall into water or
other liquids. Donot place any objects containing liquid on
thespeaker, such as vases, drinks,etc.
Do not place thespeaker in constant sunlight or near
naked flames such as wood stoves, lit candles,etc.
Thespeaker is intended for indoor useonly.
Never subject thespeaker to high temperature, dust,
heavy vibration, impacts, damp or moisture.
Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for
prolonged periods can lead to permanent hearingloss.
Thespeaker must only be repaired by qualified service
technicians.

Operating instructions
Charging
Fully charge thebattery before using thespeaker for
thefirsttime.
Only use thesupplied chargelead.
Connect theincluded charge lead to thecharging port (10)
on theBluetooth speaker and to acomputer or other USB
charger.
TheLED indicator will shine red while thebattery is
charging and change to green when thebattery is fully
charged.
When thebattery is almost fully discharged, thespeaker
will emit anaudible signal and then shutoff.
Connecting an external Bluetooth device
1. Turn thespeaker on by setting the [ OFF/ON ] switch (9)
to the position. TheLED indicator will flash red/blue ON
which indicates that thespeaker is detectable for pairing
with other Bluetooth devices.
2. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired with thespeaker.
3. Thespeaker will appear on your device as “BX50”, select it
and pair it with your device. Referto theinstruction manual
of your device for further clarification if you are unsure.
4. Once connection has been established theblue LED
indicator on thespeaker will flash slowly.

6. [ + ] Increase volume
7. [ ll ] Play/pause. Holdin for 3 seconds to shut off
thecurrent Bluetooth connection and begin searching for
other devices.
8. [ ►►l ] Nexttrack
5. Start playback on theexternal device. Setthedesired
volume levels both on your external device and
thespeaker. Control theother playback settings on
theexternal device and on thespeaker.
Note: Ifyou are prompted to enter aPIN code on your
device, you should enter (four zeroes). Certain 0000
devices may also require you to approve theconnection.
6. Thespeaker will re-connect automatically with thedevice
with which it was last paired when it has been switched
back on again and theBluetooth function is activated.
Handsfree
If you have connected amobile phone to thespeaker via
Bluetooth and receive acall whilst you are listening to
music, thespeaker will emit aring signal and themusic
will be switched off automatically. Oncethecall has been
ended, music playback will be resumed (if your phone
settings enable this).
Press [ ] if you want to use thehandsfree function for
yourcall.
AUX IN
Thespeaker is equipped with a3.5 mm AUX IN socket
for connecting anexternal audio device of your choice.
AnyBluetooth connection is automatically switched off
once anexternal device is connected to the3.5 mm
AUXIN socket.
Theplayback of theexternal device connected to
theAUX IN socket cannot be controlled from thespeaker.
Theplayback can only be controlled using thecontrols on
theexternal device itself.
Care and maintenance
Wipe thespeaker clean with adry cloth as and when
required.
Fully charge thespeaker battery every third month if it is
not to be used for alongtime.
Store thespeaker in adry location when it is not inuse.
Thebuilt-in speaker battery cannot be replaced.
Troubleshooting guide
TheBluetooth
speaker will not
switchon.
Thebattery might beflat. Recharge
thebattery.
No sound from
theexternal
device
connected via
Bluetooth.
Check both thevolume and that
play/pause has been activated on
thedevice.
Make sure that aBluetooth
connection has been properly
established.
Test theplayback of thefile on
thedevice itself before connecting
it to thespeaker.
Try playback using anotherfile.
Thefile you are attempting to play
may be damaged.
Make sure that no other wireless
devices are disrupting thecurrent
Bluetooth connection.
No sound from
theexternal
device
connected via
the3.5mm
AUXIN socket.
Check thevolume and that play/
pause has been activated on
thedevice.
Check that thecable connecting
thedevice and thespeaker
is undamaged and securely
connected.
Test theplayback of thefile on
thedevice itself before connecting
it to thespeaker.
Try playback using anotherfile.
Thefile you are attempting to play
may be damaged.

This product should be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations. Ifyou are unsure how to proceed, contact your
local council.
