persists: contact a doctor.

Use
Read the following tips before you begin painting.
WARNING! Paints can leave stains that are
difficult to remove. Wear overalls or old clothing
and cover the floor and furniture when painting!
Always use a suitable, waterproof cover to
protect surfaces such as table tops, floors, etc.
Make sure the product does not come into
contact with textiles, such as clothing, carpets,
upholstery, etc.
Use the pin in the cap to pierce the protective
film of the paint tubes before using them for
the first time.
Close the paint tubes after each use.
Wash your hands thoroughly each time after
using the product.
Clean the brushes after each use.
Ensure there is sufficient light and space for
painting. The picture must dry between the
individual paint layers. Only paint in a well
ventilated area.
Acrylic paint
Acrylic paints dry very quickly. Close the paint
tubes after each use.
Always rinse your brush before applying a
new paint. Thoroughly dry the brush with
some absorbent paper or a cloth to prevent
water from dripping onto the picture.
Acrylic paints are very opaque if they are not
diluted or are diluted with a little water. After
the paint has dried, you can repaint areas if
you are not satisfied with the result.
Acrylic paint is water soluble and easy to mix
before it dries. Dried acrylic paint is water-
proof and cannot be used to paint.
Rinse the brushes with a lot of water. Never let
paint dry on brushes or palettes. Dried acrylic
paint makes brushes unusable.
Ensure there is sufficient light and space for
painting. The picture must dry between the
individual paint layers. Only paint in a well
ventilated area.
Oil paint
Clean the brushes after each use. Dip the
brush in a container of turpentine or paint
thinner to remove most of the excess paint.

Carefully move the brush up and down in the
jar until the paint begins to wash off the brush.
Remove the brush. Clean the bristles of the
brush with a fat-removing hard soap so that
the bristles do not dry up and become porous.
Wipe the brushes with a dry cloth. Restore the
bristles to their original shape.
Store the brushes in a jar with the bristles
facing upwards and let them dry.
Watercolour
Clean the brushes with hard soap and luke-
warm water.
Wipe the brushes with a dry cloth. Restore the
bristles to their original shape.
Store the brushes in a jar with the bristles
facing upwards and let them dry.
Coloured pencils
Technique
When drawing, apply high pressure while hold-
ing the pencil nearly perpendicular to create
areas that are to be completely filled up with
intense colours.
Shading
Hold the pencil flat and apply light pressure
to create an even colour area. The individual
strokes are not visible, but the structure of the
paper can be seen.
Hatching
Hatching is when parallel lines are used to cre-
ate a visual colour area. The distance between
and thickness of the lines determine the colour
intensity.
Cross-hatching
Cross-hatching is when the hatching is layered
with lines that run at different angles. Multiple
colours can be used to create interesting colour
combinations.
From light to dark
Light colours are transparent while dark colours
are opaque. Overlapping colour schemes
from light to dark enhances their brilliance and
vividness.
Mixing colours
Various mixed colours can be created de-
pending on the order in which the colours are
layered.
Mixed media
Coloured pencils are perfectly suited for com-
bining with other media, e.g. with watercolour
pencils and pastels. This way you can make
entirely unique works of art.
Colour gradients
Colour gradients can be created by increasing
the pressure when drawing and covering one
colour with a white or light coloured pencil.
Surfaces and supports
The coloured pencils adhere to many coarse sur-
faces, such as paper and cardboard. A coloured
support can change the colour character of a
picture in exciting ways.
Storage, cleaning
When not in use, always store the product clean
and dry at room temperature.
Use water and a mild detergent to remove any
residue from objects. Clean the brushes after
each use. Protect from direct sunlight and heat.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with
harsh cleaning agents.
Disposal
Dispose of the article and the packaging materi-
als in accordance with current local regulations.
Packaging materials such as foil bags are not
suitable to be given to children. Keep the pack-
aging materials out of the reach of children.
Dispose of the products and the
packaging in an environmentally friendly
manner.
The recycling code is used to identify
various materials for recycling. The code
consists of the recycling symbol – which
is meant to reflect the recycling cycle – and a
number which identifies the material.
