QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE
1. Introduction

Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle

waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be
returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental
rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.
Thank you for choosing Velleman! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into
service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Safety Instructions
Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.
Risk of electroshock when opening the cover. Touching live wires can cause life-
threatening electroshocks. Do not disassemble or open the housing yourself. Have the
device repaired by qualified personnel.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for
service and/or spare parts.
3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
• Keep this device away from dust and extreme heat.
• Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
• All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
• Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the
warranty.
• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and
the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
• DO NOT use this product to violate privacy laws or perform other illegal activities.

5. Installation: Hardware
Before installation, you need the following items:
• Bracket & mounting base (included)
• Mounting accessories (included):
o wall mounting screws

o wall plugs
o cap
o M6 nylok screws
o spirit level
o M4 screw
o mounting base screw
• Power drill
1. Attach the mounting base to the speed dome camera.
• Put the cables (depending on your configuration, power supply and/or 8P8C network cables) through
the hole of the camera-mounting base.
• Align the breach of the base to the arrow mark on the speed dome camera, and use two M6 Nylok
screws to attach the base to the speed dome camera.
• To make the bracket installation easier, fasten the two mounting base screws to the location as
shown below.
• Note: The screws are longer than the screw holes. Just fasten the screws until they’re fixed.
2. Attach the bracket to the wall.
• The bracket is composed of two parts: the upper part and the bottom part. Remove the upper part
by loosening the screw on it. Use the four mounting screws and wall plugs to attach the bottom part
to the wall, as shown below.
• Use the spirit level supplied with the bracket package to check the surface is horizontal or not. If the
surface is horizontal, the bubble will remain in the centre circle of the spirit level.
3. Attach the speed dome camera to the bracket.
• Put the cables through the hole of the bracket.
• Attach the camera to the bracket with the two mounting base screws going through, and rotate the
bracket as indicated below. The camera will be hooked on the bracket.
• Slightly secure the camera and the bracket with three M6 Nylok screws.
