I MPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precauons should be followed:
1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. Make sure the power supply corresponds to one on the ra ng label.
3. To avoid electrical shock, do not immerse electrical parts in water or other liquid.
4. Do not allow children to operate or play with the appliance.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use, or before pu ing on/taking o parts.
6. Do not use with damaged electrical cord or plug.
7. If damaged or malfuncon occurs, refer to an authorized service center only.
8. Do not place on or near hot surfaces.
9. Never pull the appliance by the power cord.
10. Do not use the appliance for other than intended household use.
Introducon
Please read these instruc ons carefully before use and retain them for future reference. If in doubt we recommend you consult a
qualified electrician. The products should not be modied. If any modicaon is made it may render the product unsafe.
Cauon
Before using this appliance:
1. Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds to the mains supply voltage
2. Ensure that the heater has been securely fastened to the mounng in its posion.
3. Disconnect from mains during installation, cleaning or emier replacement and ensure that the emitter is cool.
4. Do not handle the halogen emitter with bare hands. If it is inadvertently touched, remove finger marks with a so cloth and
mentholated spirit or alcohol. Otherwise the marks will burn into the quartz, causing premature heater failure.
5. Touch the front glass as e as possible in order to avoid unsightly grease residue.
6. Keep the mains cable away from the body of the heater which will get hot during use.
7. Do not cover or obstruct the heater when in use.
8. Ensure that children do not tamper with the heater.
9. Do not insert any object through any slot or opening in the heater.
10. Do not use if glass is broken.
11. Ensure the unit has cooled for at least 30 minutes prior to changing the bulb.
Risk of re
Keep combusble materials such as furniture, paper, clothes and curtains at least 1m from the front of the heater and away from the
sides and rear. If the lamp is to be used outside, we recommend that a waterproof or indoor socket is used.

Installaon instrucons
Wiring
-Warning - this appliance must be earthed.
- All installations must be in accordance with the I.E.E. safety regulaons or equivalent.
-When the electrical connec on is outside, a waterproof socket must be used for the connecon/terminaon.
- All unwired version should be installed by a suitable qualified electrician. Follow the instruction below:
1. Unscrew the terminal box cover at the back of the heater and feed the supply cable through the compression gland.
2. Use a heat resistant supply cable with 2 poles and earth. The live and neutral wires must be covered with the protec ve silicon
casings provided before connecng them to the terminal block. See g.1.
3. The green/yellow wire should be connected to the clamp marked with the earth symbol.
4. Tighten the barrel nut of the compression gland so that the rubber seal grips the cable. The seal can be adjusted to
accommodate cables of diameter between 8mm and 11mm (approx 3/8”). See g.2.
5. Replace the terminal box cover and ghten the screws.
6. Ensure that the cover is secured well – to prevent water ingress.
Warning:
This appliance is equipped with a grounded, Type G, 3-pin power supply cord. This is a safety feature. Do not aempt to defeat the
safety purpose of this plug.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the unit and let it cool completely.
2. To keep the heater clean, the outer shell may be cleaned with a so, damp cloth. You may use a mild detergent if necessary.
Aer cleaning, dry the unit with a so cloth.
3. DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough brushes to clean the heater. This may cause damage
or deteriora on to the surface of the heater.
4. Although this heater is outdoor approved, DO NOT immerse the heater in water for your safety.
5. If the heater will not be used for a long period of me, store it in a cool, dry place, to prevent dust and dirt build-up, use the
original packaging to repack the unit.
DISPOSAL OF YOUR OLD APPLIANCE
1. When this crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is aached to a product it means the product is covered by the
European Direc ve 2002/96/EC.
2. All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the municipal waste stream via
designated collec on facilies appointed by the government or the local author es.
3. The correct disposal of your old appliance will help prevent poten al negave consequences for the environment
and human health.
4. For more detailed informaon about disposal of your old appliance, please contact your city o ice, waste disposal
service or the shop where you purchase the product.
