Lightning. Unplug your unit during a lightning storm, or when
it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time. This
will prevent damage due to lightning and power line surges.
Unplug Before Cleaning. Unplug your ZVOX system from wall
outlet or other power source before cleaning. Use a damp cloth
for cleaning. Do not use solvents or chemical cleaning agents.
Disconnect Device. The MAINS plug is used as the
disconnect device. Do not do anything to make it dif๏ฌcult to
disconnect the MAINS power plugโ€”it should remain
readily operable.

parts other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
Unauthorized substitutions may result in ๏ฌre, electric shock or
other hazards.
Safety Check. Upon completion of any service or repair to this
product, ask the service technician to perform safety checks to
determine whether the product is in proper operating condition.
Stable Placement. Do not place the ZVOX 525 on an
unstable cart, stand, bracket or table. The ZVOX 525 may
fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to
the product. Do not use the ZVOX 525 on any unstable surface.

or unstable. Install the ZVOX 525 on a solid and ๏ฌ‚at surface.
Do Not Use Near Water. Do not use your ZVOX 525 near
water, such as a bathtub, sink, swimming pool or wet basement.
To reduce the risk of ๏ฌre or electric shock, do not expose this
apparatus to rain or moisture, To avoid dripping and splashing,
no objects ๏ฌlled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on
your ZVOX 525.
Object Entry. Never use probes of any kind to reach into the
ZVOX 525 as they may touch voltage points or short parts that
could result in a ๏ฌre or electric shock.
Ventilation. The heat sink (a black metal panel located on the back
of the ZVOX 525) REQUIRES ventilation to ensure reliable
operation of the system and to prevent it from over-heating. This
area must not be blocked or covered. Do not allow a soft surface
such as carpet, bedding or a sofa to cover the heat sink. The
system should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a
bookcase or a rack unless proper ventilation is provided.
Do Not Abuse The Power Cord. Install the ZVOX 525 where no
one can step on or trip on the power cord. Never yank to disconnect
the cord from an outlet. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not pull the cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not allow
cord to hang over the edge of table or counter.
Heat. Place system away from radiators, stoves, heat vents or
other heat sources.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding
type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the
other. The wide blade is provided for your safety. If the provided
plug does not ๏ฌt into your outlet, consult an electrician for replace-
ment of the obsolete outlet.
Power Supply. Do not use a power supply with a higher voltage
rating than the unit supplied.
Power Sources. The ZVOX 525 can be operated only with a
50/60HZ 120-240VAC power source.
Do Not Overload Outlets. Donโ€™t overload your wall outlets or
power strip. This can result in the risk of ๏ฌre or electric shock.
The lightning ๏ฌ‚ash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated
โ€œdangerous voltageโ€ within the productโ€™s enclosure that may be of suf๏ฌcient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user of the presence of important operating and maintenance
(servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying this product.
All safety and operating instructions should be read before your ZVOX
ยฎ 525 is operated.

ZVOX system using your TVโ€™s remote control. If your TVโ€™s audio output
canโ€™t be switched to โ€œVARIABLE,โ€ simply control the volume of the
ZVOX 525 by using the supplied remote control. Alternatively, you
may be able to program your TV remote, or a programmable/learning
remote to control audio levels with any of the following codes: Candle

7. Insert the AAA batteries in the ZVOX 525 remote control.
8. Turn on the ZVOX 525 by pushing the power button on the remote con-

NOTE: IN NORMAL OPERATION THE UNIT WILL
GO INTO STANDBY MODE 2-3 MINUTES AFTER
IT STOPS RECEIVING AN AUDIO SIGNAL (FOR
EXAMPLE, WHEN YOU TURN OFF YOUR TV).
THE FRONT PANEL LIGHT WILL TURN FROM
BLUE TO GREEN IN STANDBY MODE. WHEN
THE SIGNAL RETURNS (AFTER YOU TURN

11. PHASECUE buttons control the ZVOX virtual surround sound system.
There are nine (9) levels of PHASECUE adjustment. When you turn up the
PHASECUE control, the audio should sound wider or โ€œbigger.โ€ In many
cases you will hear sounds from places where there are no speakers. This
effect is stronger with live music, live sporting events and well-recorded
movies and TV programs. With many programsโ€”especially news shows
