 Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means may generate

dust or fumes that contain lead. Exposure to lead dust or fumes may cause brain damage

or other adverse health effects, especially in children or pregnant women. Controlling

exposure to lead or other hazardous substances requires the use of proper protective

equipment, such as a properly tted respirator (NIOSH approved) and proper containment

and cleanup. For more information, call the National Lead Information Center at

1-800-424-LEAD (in US) or contact your local health authority.

Read the booklet, “Protect Your Family From Lead In Your Home”, included with this

product, or obtain a copy from the U.S. Environment Protection Agency or the U.S.

Consumer Product Safety Commission.

outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.

 There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed

or grounded.

• Water entering a power 

tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

 Damaged or

entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.

Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.

such as dust masks, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for

appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

• A wrench or a 

key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.

• This enables better 

control of the power tool in unexpected situations.

 Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in

moving parts.

 Use of dust collection can reduce dust-

related hazards.
