TO STYLE
1. Remove the protective brush cover by sliding upwards and plug the styler into
a power outlet - selecting either the low or high heat settings – Depress the
t   or u brush rotation buttons to ensure you understand the rotation direction
before styling your hair .
2. Wash and condition your hair as usual. Comb hair before using to detangle.
3. Using a hair dryer, dry your hair first until it is 80% dry. For added
volume, turn your head upside down as you dry.
4. Once hair is 80% dry, you should start to create your style using the Digital Sensor
Hot Air Styler.
BLOW DRYING
1. Ensure you section your hair using clips before styling .
Take a hair section to start styling with approx. 2.5cm - 5cm wide and no more
than 1cm thick (if you have thick hair make the section around 50mm thick).
2. Place either the 50mm or 40mm ceramic brush onto the body of the appliance
and lock into place.
3. Slide the on/off temperature switch to either the low or high heat setting.
4. Place the styler under the section of hair, close to the roots and brush through the
section to remove tangles (without brush rotating).
5. For added volume at the root of the hair , hold the brush in place at the root (hair
section is draped over top of brush) for a few seconds.
6. Move the brush through the hair section (hair is draped over top of brush), towards
the ends and as you reach the end of the hair section, start to rotate the brush
away from your head by pressing and holding the appropriate rotation direction
switch.
7. As you do this it is important to resist the rotation of the brush by pulling the
brush downwards. The brush should be rotating through the section of your hair
(without the hair becoming wound round the brush head if you are holding the
styler with the correct tension against the hair) to create a brushing effect as it
dries and styles the hair.
8. For even more volume, allow the brush to rotate, winding the entire section of hair
around the barrel, the brush will move upwards towards your scalp then release
the the rotation switch and leave in the hair for a few seconds.
9. To release the section of hair, press and hold the opposite rotation button to
unwind the hair section.
Styling tips
• For fine hair types or to gain extra volume use a volumising mousse in your hair
while damp before styling.
• To define layers and give shape to styles , follow step 10 and repeat through the
section.
• To add volume to the roots and body through the top section of the hair, follow
steps 8 to 10 but using an upward motion.
• For long lasting results, follow steps 8 to 10 but then slide the on/off switch to the
cool setting for a few seconds, this will set the hair.
FIRST USE
• Remove all packaging and point of sale labels before use.
• Remove plastic cover from plug before use
(used to protect it from damage during transportation)
IMPORTANT! It may take several attempts to perfect this technique. If the
brush spins too quickly and hair wraps around the brush head , simply release the
rotation button and remove from the hair. Use the low heat setting (low brush
speed) and practise rotating the brush on the lower ends of your hair until you
feel comfortable with the styling action. If hair continues to wrap around the
barrel you need to increase the downward tension.
It is important to section your hair before styling and style section by section to
get the best results.
WARNING! The ceramic brush barrel will get hot during use . Take care to avoid
the hot surface of the styler coming in direct contact with the skin, in particular
the eyes, ears, face and neck.
AFTER USE: Always replace the protective cover shield over the brush head to
protect the bristles
10. Repeat for each hair section.
11. After use switch off and unplug the appliance.
12. Allow the styler to cool before storing.
13. Place the protective brush shield over the head
SMOOTHING AND DRYING
Place the 3D styling brush on the body of the appliance.
Take a section of the hair and position the brush under the section at the hair roots.
Ensure the bristles go right into the hair. Gently slide the brush along the section
from the roots to the tiups ending the action with a slight rotation of the wrist to give
bounce to the style.
NOTE: If you notice the indicator light is flashing, this is completely normal. The
styler is automatically adjusting the temperature to guarantee a gentler and kinder
heat for the hair.
IONIC FRIZZ TECHNOLOGY
Many aspects of modern living, including air conditioning, contact with manmade
fibers and air pollution add to the build-up of static electricity in your hair.
Even simply brushing and towel-drying your hair can increase these levels. This
static charge causes the scales, or cuticles of the hair, to push hair strands apart,
resulting in a rough hair surface. Consequently, your hair may have a dull appearance.
High levels of static charge cause your hair to become ‘flyaway’ & difficult to style.
The advanced internal ionic generator conditions hair by emitting negative ions to
reduce static, leaving your hair silky & shiny with reduced frizz.
HEAT SETTINGS
Your styler features two heat and a cool setting.
Off = “0” setting on switch
Low heat = “I” setting on switch .
High heat = “II” setting on switch
Cool setting = * setting on switch (note : brush does not rotate on this setting)
• Use the high heat setting for initial drying, and the low heat setting as the hair
begins to dry and for styling.
• Use the cool setting to set the style for longer lasting results after drying and
styling.

2 YEAR WARRANTY
Retain this section of the warranty card with your receipt/proof of purchase. You must
present it to obtain replacement or service under the warranty.
The warranty may only be claimed where proof of original purchase is presented, i.e.
original purchase receipt or invoice. Attach a copy of your purchase receipt and store
in a safe place.

purchased where it will be replaced (see Point 12 in Conditions).

WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTS
A. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
1. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled
to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and
the failure does not amount to a major failure. 2. The guarantees under the Australian
Consumer Law (“ACL”) are provided in sections 51 to 59 inclusive of the ACL (“Statutory
Guarantees”) and the remedies are provided in sections 259 to 266 inclusive of the ACL
(“StatutoryRemedies”).
B. VS SASSOON EXTENDED WARRANTY
1. In addition and subject to the Statutory Guarantees and Statutory Remedies, the
following express warranty (“Warranty”) commences from the date of purchase
and continues for a period of 24 months (“Warranty Period”) after which it expires.
Subject to the conditions in Section C below, Conair warrants to the original purchaser
(“Purchaser”) of the VS Sassoon product that is the subject of this warranty (“Product”)
that if during the Warranty Period, the Product suffers from any defect caused by faults
in materials or workmanship, Conair will a) replace the Product, or b) exchange defective
parts in the Product or c) repair the Product, as Conair may choose in its discretion
(“Warranty”). In this Warranty “Conair” means Conair Australia Pty Limited (ABN 64
068 492 044) of The Equinox Centre, Suite 101, 18 Rodborough Rd, Frenchs Forest,
NSW, 2086. in relation to Products purchased in Australia and Conair New Zealand Ltd
in relation to Products purchased in New Zealand.
2. To honour the Warranty, Conair must replace, or exchange parts in, or repair, the Product,
as Conair determines, in accordance with paragraph B1 above, subject always to the
conditions in Section C below.
3. If any of the conditions in Section C below are inconsistent with any provisions of the
ACL or regulations made thereunder, those provisions of the ACL or regulations shall
prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
C. CONDITIONS
1. The Product must be used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. This Warranty
does not apply should the defect in or failure of the Product be attributable to misuse,
abuse, accident, act of God such as lightning, or nonobservance of manufacturer’s
instructions on the part of the user. This Warranty does not cover ordinary wear and tear
in the Product or its parts.

2. Conair does not accept liability for a) any loss or damage however suffered, caused by
or arising out of any failure to use the Product in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions, and b) any indirect, consequential or economic loss or damage however
caused.
3. This Warranty is immediately void if – a) any serial number or appliance plate is removed
or defaced, b) the Product has been serviced or otherwise repaired by a person not
authorized to do so by Conair or where non approved replacement parts are used.
4. The Product is designed for domestic use only. The Product must be connected to the
electrical voltage supply as specified in the ratings label located on the Product. This
Warranty does not cover defects arising from non-domestic use or incorrect voltage
supply.
5. This Warranty may only be claimed against where proof of original purchase is presented,
for example, original receipt or invoice.
6. Any parts of the Product that need to be replaced, or if the whole Product needs to be
replaced, the replaced Product, become the property of Conair. The Warranty on any
replacement Product or parts will expire on the same date that the Warranty Period on
the original Product expires.
7. The benefits provided by this Warranty are in addition to all other rights and remedies
in respect of the Product which the Purchaser has under the ACL, and applicable laws
in New Zealand, which rights and remedies by law may not be excluded. All other
warranties and representations express and implied are hereby excluded.
8. The defect must have occurred during the Warranty Period and Purchaser bears the onus
of proving that fact, and that the defect was not caused by any of the causes excluded
from this Warranty.
9. This Warranty does not cover Products purchased from any person who is not a retailer
serviced by Conair’s authorised distributors or purchased second hand.
10. The Purchaser is responsible for all postage and freight charges and any other expenses
incidental to claiming against this Warranty.
11. The Warranty excludes consumable items (such as blades or brushes) and normal wear
and tear.
12. If you’re certain your product is defective, and the product is covered by the terms of this
warranty, you need to take the product back to the place you purchased it from, where
the retailer will replace the product for you on our behalf. In this event, per the terms of
this warranty you will need to present this portion of the warranty card and the purchase
receipt as proof of purchase so please make sure you keep both this card and your receipt
on hand for the duration of the warranty period.
SPARE PARTS
Replacement parts AFTER USE: Always replace the protective cover shield over the brush
head to protect the bristles. Contact us on the phone or email address provided for more
details. Please provide your product name/model number details, date of purchase and part
you require.
BRUSH ROTATION SETTINGS
Your styler has a two-way , rotation that can be used when styling (heat settings
only) .
To make the brush head rotate press the switch marked t  or u on the styler
handle. These will make the brush head rotate in a clockwise or anticlockwise
direction.
The styler has 2 heat/speed settings plus cool. When the styler is set on the high
heat setting the brush head will rotate faster. When the styler is set on the low
heat setting the brush head will rotate slower.
Note: The brush head does not rotate when used on the cool setting.
The styler can also be used as a fixed head brush for styling.
THE ATTACHMENTS
Attaching and removing the brush heads.
Slip the brush head onto the body of the unit and lock into place by sliding the
lock button located at the top of the brush attachment. To remove the brush
attachment, unlock it and gently pull it off.
USER MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT! Check and clean the styler filter on a regular basis.– To help maintain
optimum performance and prevent overheating of your appliance, the rear filter
should be cleaned on a regular basis.
• Ensure that the appliance is switched off, unplugged from the power outlet and has
cooled down.
• Holding the handle of the appliance firmly, click open the rear filter at the base of
the styler down to open.
• Using a soft brush, clean any hair and other debris that may build up in the filter.
• Replace the rear filter by pushing back into position.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The following safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical
appliances, especially when children are present in your household. Please read these
instructions carefully and keep for future reference.

WARNING: Do not use this appliance in or near bathtubs, showers, basins
or other vessels containing water. Keep the appliance dry.
• When this appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of
water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched off.
• If this appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately - DO NOT reach into the wate
r.
WARNINGS: Before and During Use
• Before using, always ensure that the voltage marked on the appliance is the same
as your local power voltage.
• If the appliance is designed to be connected to a detachable power supply (otherwise
known as a charger or adaptor), the appliance must only be used with the power
supply it was sold with.
• Do not operate this appliance or disconnect from the power supply with wet hands.
• Never use this appliance at the same time as styling products such as aerosols (spray).
• Be very careful when handling this appliance as parts of it may get extremely hot.
• Do not place the appliance on any heat sensitive surface or near flammable
materials or objects.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never block the air openings of the appliance or place on a soft surface such as a
bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of
lint and other debris.
• Do not cover this appliance with anything when it is switched on or hot.

appliance.

• Never operate this appliance if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it is not working
correctly.
• If this appliance is serviced by an unqualified person this could result in an extremely
hazardous situation for the user. Contact Conair Customer service if you have any
issues operating your styler.
CAUTION
• This appliance is not intended for use by infirm persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person - responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use and as described in this manual. This
appliance is not intended for commercial use.
• Do not use any attachments other than those supplied by Conair Australia Pty Ltd.
• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a
rated operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical current
circuit supplying the bathroom.
