Do not use the product while moving or walking, injuries could result from a collision with objects or from stumbling or falling.
Keep sm all caps, plastic bags, or plastic packing materials away from children. These may ca use a danger of swallowing or suffocation.

Avoid touching an y lens or mirro r surfa c e s directly with your h ands. In case a le n s or m irror b ecome s dirty with fin g erpr in ts or ge neral
smears, gently wipe it using a commercially available lens cleaner and a le ns cleaning pa per or cloth, or consult your local Vixen dealer.
Blow off dust on lense s using a co mmer cially available b lower br ush.
For s t orage , keep th e prod uct in a d r y place a nd do n ot expose to dire c t sunlight.

Attaching the Telescope to the Mount

lock screw and safety screw until
the tips of these screws no longer
extended into the inner part of the
dovetail block.
Slide the dovetail mounted scope
into the dovetail mounting block as
shown in the figure. ighten the T
dovetail lock screw (centered on
the notch) onto the dovetail slide
bar until snug.
First tighten the dovetail lock screw,
and then tighten the small chrome
s a fe t y s c r e w o n th e do v e t a i l
mounti n g bl o c k unti l snug .
Attaching the Finder Scope
(Finder Scope and Finder Bracket
may be optional at your particular

Loosen the finder bracket lock screw
on the telescope's finder bracket
shoe. Attach the finder scope as
shown in the figure and tighten the
finder bracket lock screw securely.

W h e n u s i n g a n e y e p i e c e w i t h s h o r t f o c a l l e n g t h
(small number in millimeters), the image will be dim
and the range of sharp focus will be small.
The i ma g e w i l l be h a r d e r to s e e s o b e g i n with a n
eyepiece with long focal length (low magnification).
Dividing the focal length of the telescope by the focal
length of the eyepiece gives the magnification.
Focusing the Telescope
Look into the eyepiece. The image will likely be out of
focus at first. urn the focus knob slowly clockwise or T
counterclockwise to find a point where the image in
the field of view of the eyepiece becomes sharpest.
Eyepiece Focal length of telescope ÷ Focal length of eyepiece = Magnification
