SETTINGS
MANUAL WINDING [position B]
A watch equipped with a self-winding mechanical
movement is wound automatically by wrist movements
alone. To ensure optimum winding, wear your
watch daily.
Before yourst use the watch or if it has stopped, you
will need to wind it manually by unscrewing the crown
and then turning it clockwise.
SCREWED-DOWN POSITION [position A]
Your TUDOR watch is equipped with a screw-down
crown. Once this is fully screwed down against the case,
your watch is guaranteed waterproof.

appears in the window. During this operation, your watch
will keep running.
In order to adjust the day of the week, unscrew
and pull the crown out to the rst notch. Then turn
it anticlockwise until the desired day appears in
the window.
Certain calibres do not have a date function. For the

TIME-SETTING [position C without date and position D with date]
In order to adjust the time, unscrew the crown and pull it out to
the last notch. Then turn it in either direction until the hands
indicate the correct time. The small seconds hand is stopped
during this operation, allowing the time to be set accurately.
For models with date function, if the watch has stopped, take
care not to confuse midday and midnight during this operation.
Move the hands forward to 12 o’clock; if the date changes, then
it is midnight.
For Advisor, in a time-setting operation, the hour hand drags the
alarm hand anticlockwise when they are superposed.

RAPID DATE-SETTING
For Fastrider models [ at 9 o’clock]
In order to adjust the date, we advise you to use
only the TUDOR tool as depicted in the diagram on
the following page. It is supplied with your watch,
and serves to handle the date corrector situated at
9 oclock.
You can change the date simply by pressing the
corrector using the TUDOR tool.
To avoid damaging the movement , it is vital not to
adjust the date between 20:30 and 23:00.

FUNCTIONS
FUNCTIONS SPECIFIC
TO DIVING MODELS

ROTATABLE BEZEL
The unidirectional rotatable bezel allows precise
measurement of dive times. For safety, the bezel rotates
in one direction only. It is deliberately harder to turn
when the zero marker (triangle) is in the 12 o’clock position
to avoid inadvertent rotation.
Before beginning your descent, turn the bezel until the
triangle on the graduation is opposite the minute hand.
This indicates the beginning of the dive and is visible
in the dark. The duration of the dive is indicated on the
graduation on the bezel by the minute hand.
ADJUSTING THE TITANIUM, RUBBER OR FABRIC BRACELET
The Pelagos is equipped with two bracelets, one in
titanium and another in rubber, which compensate for
variations in the thickness of the dive suit due to water
pressure.
The Black Bay is available with a fabric strap. The leng th
of the fabric strap can be adjusted by sliding it through the
buckle and loops.
19
HELIUM VALVE
During dives in a hyperbaric environment, superfluid
gases penetrate the watch. The Pelagos is tted with a
helium valve which allows these gases to escape during
decompression.
FUNCTION SPECIFIC
TO THE PELAGOS
ROTATABLE BEZEL
The Black Bay P is equipped with a special  bidirectional
rotating bezel with stop system via mobile end-link.
To set it, open the end-link at 12 oclock by pressing on its
tip, turn the bezel to the desired position and re-close the
end-link. The time measured is indicated by the hour hand.

REFERENCE TIME

FUNCTIONS SPECIFIC
TO THE BLACK BAY GMT
SETTING THE REFERENCE TIME [position D]
Put the bezel in the neutral position (for models with a rotatable
bezel, triangle on the bezel aligned with the 12 o’clock marker
on the dial).
To set the reference time, unscrew the crown and then pull it out
to the second notch. The seconds hand is stopped, allowing you
to set the time to the precise second.
Set the reference time using the (against the 24-hour hand
graduations on the bezel) and (against the the minute hand
graduations on the dial) by turning the crown in either direction.
Setting the reference time also moves the conventional hour
hand (local time). For this reason, the reference time must be
set before setting the local time.

The local time is identical to the reference time (24-hour hand)
if the wearer is currently located in his reference zone. It can
be easily adjusted when travelling.
