Operation
Your will latch straight onto any XLR equipped microphone, or anywhere else in the signal Kompressor

How to use
Kompressor adds 25dB of gain, which decreases as more compression is dialed in. Our design features a
single knob that adjusts compression levels from ‘Less’ to ‘More’. An orange LED inside the knob indicates
the signal is compressed Please note that the compression effect starts before it becomes visibly .
apparent on the LED. If the LED flashes, it signifies light to medium compression; a continuously lit LED
suggests heavy compression, which can be desirable for specific uses, such as on a drum room mic.
The knob on adjusts how much compression is applied to your microphone signal. Because Kompressor
it’s designed as a simple one knob control, the amount of compression will depend on your microphone’s -
output level.
Low-Output Microphones (Shure SM7B, most ribbon mics): These microphones produce a weaker signal, so
the compression effect will be more subtle. To achieve more noticeable compression, you’ll need to turn
the knob closer to the “More” side.
High-Output Microphones (e.g., Shure Beta58, Beyerdynamic M88): These microphones produce a stronger
signal, so they naturally trigger more compression. For these, you’ll likely want to stay closer to the “Less”
side of the knob to avoid over-compressing the signal. For really loud sources we recommend AirHead.
