Charge the fully before first use. With the probe in the docking station, plug in the USB cable to the charging dock and probe

Turn on the wireless pairing services on your smartphone. For Android, ensure that Location Services Pairing Scan ing is n
“on”.
To pair the thermometer with the dock, remove the probe from the dock, then press the POWER button three times.

Open the SM RTTHERMO app, and the probe will connect automatically. Sometimes the user will need to press “P IR” on A A
their smart device app. The thermometer will immediately pair to the smart device for all ad itional uses. d

Preprogrammed temperature settings are based on current USDA standards for food safety. Visit ww .fo dsafety.gov for w o

Start Temperature Monitoring
Make sure the probe you are sing is co u nnected with the app.
Insert the stainless steel metal robe into the thickest part of the food to be c ked. B p oo e sure to insert the probe into the food
deep enough to exceed the safety line. Do not come in contact with bone, fat or gristle, as these areas will not provide
accurate temperature readings. For thin cuts of meat, such as fish, o may want to insert the probe into the side of the meat y u
so the probe is in greater contact with the meat. When c king, ensure any part of the probe is not touching flame or an HOT oo y
c king surface. oo

Setting Up the Cook
In the a , select the protein (Beef, icken, Turkey, Veal, La , Fish, Pork, Hamburger). Some proteins also have pp Ch mb
doneness levels. Select this as well.

Once selected, return to the main screen and select “START” o begin he temperature monitoring. Internal temperatures t t
will read immediately, Ext nal mbient air) temperatures will display once the 122°F/50°C threshold iser (a met.
Place the food into the preheated oven or grill. The charger dock mus be placed within 200 f t from the probe t ee
thermometer. Do not place the charger dock on or very close to the oven or grill. Damage may occur to plastic pieces. The
range from the dock to the smart device is about 3 feet. The total extended range is to 5 feet. 00 up 00
Stop Temperature Monitoring
The app had an alarm when the internal temperature of the food rea es the target temperature. When finished monitoring ch
temperatures, use caution when removing the thermometer probe from the oven/grill, the probe will be HOT. Use a heat
resistant glove to pre nt in ry. ve ju

CARE AND PRECAUTIONS

To avoid damage to the thermometer probe, be sure to insert the probe into the f d deep enough to exc d the safety oo ee
line, and ensure the probe is in the food completely.
When c king, be sure that no part of the probe is touching flame or any HOT cooking surface.oo
The internal meat temperature measuring range is 14°F to 212°F / -10°C to 1 °C. The a ient range is and 122°F to 572°F / 00 mb
50°C to 300°C. If the temperature is outside the temperature range, the app will sound the alarm. DO NOT use this device
outside the emperature range. DO OT expose the probe directly o flames, as his ay cause the damage to the t N t t m
thermometer sensor.
Use caution while handling the thermometer. Always wear heat resistant glo a ve when touching the metal probes or
ceramic handle during or just after c king. DO NOT TOUCH WITH BARE HANDS! oo

DO NOT place the charger uni into an oven or grill. DO NOT se the thermometer probe or charger in a microwave oven ort u

The robe is waterproof and dishwasher safe. Dry thoroughly after washing. p
The charger dock is not waterpr f. Do not immerse it in water or other liquids. If yo spill liquid on it, dr it immediatelyoo u y
with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not expose probe plug or plug-in hole to an liquid, as this can cause damage to he y t
charging dock.
Do not submerge the probe in cold water after c king. Wait until it has cooled down prior to washing. oo
