2. PREPARING YOUR STEAM GENERATOR
1. Place your steam generator on a stable, horizontal heat-res stant work suri face.
2. Remove the water tank by pull ng the handles upwards (1). i
3. Fill the water tank taking care not to exceed the maximum level (2).
4. Replace ng n it pushi firmly down i its housing (3).
The water to use in your steam generator :
Your steam generator has been des gned to operate us ng untreated tap water. However, i i
if your water i i i i i i i is very hard, m x t 50% untreated tap water w th 50% d st lled or dem neral sed
water.
Types of water not to use :
Heat concentrates the elements conta n water durined i ing evaporat on. The types o water i f
listed below may contain organic waste, mineral or chem cal elements that can cause spi i itt ng,
brown sta ng, or premature wear o the appli inf iance : water from clothes dryers, scented or
softened water, water from re gerators, batter n water, bofi ies, a r condi i it oners, rai iled, lteredfi
or bottled water. Also only use di ist lled or dem sed water as adv sed above.inerali i
• The first time the appliance is used, there may be some fumes and smell but this is not harmful.
They will not affect use and will disappear rapidly.
• When starting, and regularly while it is being used, your steam generator's electric pump injects water into
the boiler. It makes a noise but this is quite normal. You may also hear a clicking noise which is the steam
valve opening. Again this is normal. If you are pressing on the steam control button at this time you may
lose a little steam pressure momentarily.
3 • USING YOUR STEAM GENERATOR
1. Completely unwind the power cord ts storage space be ore connect ng to an earthedfrom i f i
socket (4).
2. Press on the on / o sw tch (located on the ront o the base un t) (a): the green l ght (located onff i f f i i
the control panel) lashes and the bo ler heats up (b).It wf i ill take around 2 m or steam to beinutes f
produced whi ich s lashindicated when the green “steam ready” light stops f ing (5).
