3 SPEED OSCILLATING DESK FAN
Thank you for purchasing this Proline fan. This product has past through extensive
quality assurance process. Every care has been taken to ensure that it reaches
you in perfect condition. Warning! When using any electrical product, basic safety
precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and
personal injury.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (UK ONLY)
For your safety please read the following information
The appliance must be connected to a 220-240 volts 50 cycle AC supply by means
of a three-pin socket and should be protected by a 3-amp fuse in the plug.
The appliance is supplied with a rewireable 13 amp 3 pin plug fitted with a 3 amp
fuse. Should the fuse require replacement, it must be replaced with a fuse rated
at 3 amp and approved to BS1362.
If the mains plug is unsuitable for the socket outlet in your home or is removed for
any other reason, then the old plug should be disposed of safely to prevent the
hazard of electric shock.
There is a danger of electric shock if the old plug is inserted into any 13-amp
socket outlet.
How to wire a 13 amp plug
Important
The wires in the mains lead on this appliance are coloured in accordance with the
following code:
Blue – Neutral
Brown – Live
As the colours may not correspond with the markings identifying the terminals in
your plug proceed as follows.
Read all these instructions carefully before attempting to operate this fan for the
first time.

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L.
No wire must be connected to the terminal in the plug, which is marked ith the letter
E or with the earth symbol or coloured green and yellow.
The mains lead MUST be secured under the cord clamp.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read all instructions and save them for future reference.
2. Do not use outdoors.
3. Stand the appliance on a stable flat surface before use.
4. Check that the voltage marked on the appliance rating plate matches your local
mains supply.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
6. Keep out of reach of small children to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
7. Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being used near children
or infirm persons.
8. Do not use any electrical extension cord with this fan.
9. Do not insert fingers or any other object into the front guard or any part of the fan.
10. Do not let children play or insert fingers or any other object into the front guard

11. Do not let hair, net curtains, tablecloths or loose clothing come into contact with
the moving parts of the fan as it may cause damage or injuries.
12. Do not use the fan if the mains cord or plug gets damaged in any way. Return
the fan to an authorised service agent or after-sales department for examination,
electrical adjustment or mechanical repair.
13. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter top.
14. Do not let the power cord touch any hot surface.
15. The appliance is for household use only. Do not use the appliance for other
than its intended use as laid out in these instructions.
16. Do not try to repair this fan yourself there is no user serviceable parts inside all
servicing and repair must be undertaken by the manufacturer, its after-sales
service or by similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
