To switch the Powergorilla on or o, press and hold the power button This also
allows you to check the charge level using the battery bars on the LCD screen . If
the last bar is solid-on, the Powergorilla is fully charged; if the charge level drops
below 10% the battery symbol will flash and it’s time to recharge.
To recharge the Powergorilla, connect the supplied 19V AC mains charger to the
Powergorilla’s DC input . Always disconnect the mains charger when not in use or
when the Powergorilla is fully charged. If charging via a Powertraveller solar panel
(available separately), the LCD screen will display either the solar symbol or the
voltage. While solar charging the Powergorilla will disable the DC and USB outputs to
maximise eciency.
To charge devices via the DC output ( , check the voltage your device requires (usually
found on the device’s original mains charger), connect the supplied DC cable to the DC
output and connect the relevant tip from the pack (other tips available at
www.powertraveller.com). Tap the power button to scroll through the voltages until
the correct voltage is displayed, then connect your device. If a device is connected and
drawing enough power, the screen will flash 3 times to lock the voltage to protect from
accidental changes, you can deactivate the lock by holding the power button down for
3 seconds. If your device does not draw enough power to be recognised by the
Powergorilla, double-tap the power button to activate the DC Permanent On mode,
which will keep the DC outputting at your desired voltage.
When being charged at 19V, the Powergorilla will output at 19V, allowing you to
daisy-chain with a 19V device. If the power supply to the Powergorilla is interrupted
the UPS feature will keep the Powergorilla on and outputting at 19V.
To charge devices from the USB port , connect your device’s own USB cable or the
supplied USB to USB-C cable to one of the port and connect the other end to your
device (using the female USB-C to Micro USB adapter if required). If your USB device
draws too little power to be recognised by the Powergorilla, scroll through the voltages
to the ‘88’ setting, this will simultaneously keep the USB outputting at 5V and keep
the DC port outputting at 12V. While charging USB devices, the USB symbol will be
displayed on the screen. You can charge devices from the USB output while the
Powergorilla is being charged from the 19V mains adapter.
