PA Speakers for

Suspended Ceilings

These instructions are intended for installers

with sufﬁcient knowledge of 100 V technology

for PA applications. Please read the instructions

carefully prior to installation and keep them for

later reference.

1 Applications

These speakers for suspended ceilings are specially

designed for applications in PA systems using 100 V

technology. They are based on the principle of open

sound wall technology and are suitable for being

placed on suspended ceilings or for free suspension.

2 Important Notes

The speaker corresponds to all relevant directives of

the EU and is therefore marked with .

•

The speaker is suitable for indoor use only. Protect

it against dripping water and splash water, high air

humidity and heat (admissible ambient tempera-

ture range 0 – 40 °C).

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use

chemicals or water.

•

No guarantee claims for the speaker and no liabil-

ity for any resulting personal damage or material

dam age will be accepted if the speaker is used

for other purposes than originally intended, if it

is not correctly installed or connected, or if it is

overloaded.

If the speaker is to be put out of oper-

ation deﬁnitely, dispose of the speaker in

accordance with local regulations.

3 Installation

WARNING During operation, there is a hazard

of contact with a dangerous voltage

of up to 100 V at the connection

cable. Installation must be carried

out by skilled personnel only.

Observe the load of the PA ampliﬁer by the

speakers. Overload may damage the PA ampliﬁer!

The total power of all speakers connected must not

exceed the ampliﬁer power.

1) Depending on the way of mounting, place the

speaker on the suspended ceiling (a) or suspend it

from the upper ceiling (b). For suspension, three

7 mm drill holes are provided in the sound wall.

For placing and mounting the speaker, a minimum

distance between the ceilings of 100 mm has to

be taken into account and for suspending it, a

minimum distance of 250 mm (see drawing).

2) Prior to connecting the speaker, switch off the PA

system completely, so that the 100 V audio cable

from the PA ampliﬁer will not carry any voltage!

3) Connect the speaker cable to the 100 V audio

cable from the PA ampliﬁer: Connect the white

core and one of the other coloured cores which

corresponds to the desired power rating (volume)

to the 100 V audio cable.

4) When connecting several speakers, make sure

that all speakers have the same polarity.

ELA-Deckenauﬂagelautsprecher

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure mit

Fachkenntnissen in der 100-V-Beschallungs-

technik. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung vor der

Installation gründlich durch und heben Sie sie

für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Diese Deckenauﬂagelautsprecher sind speziell für

den Einsatz in Beschallungsanlagen konzipiert, die

mit 100-V-Technik arbeiten. Sie basieren auf dem

Prinzip der Offenen-Schallwand-Technik und eignen

sich für die Auﬂage auf abgehängte Decken oder für

die freie Aufhängung.

2 Wichtige Hinweise

Der Lautsprecher entspricht allen relevanten Richt-

linien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

•

Der Lautsprecher ist nur zur Verwendung im In-

nenbereich geeignet. Schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf-

und Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze

(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

•

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-

nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien

oder Wasser.

•

Wird der Lautsprecher zweckentfremdet, nicht

fachgerecht montiert, falsch angeschlossen oder

überlastet, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultie-

rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine Ga-

rantie für den Lautsprecher übernommen werden.

Soll der Lautsprecher endgültig aus dem

Betrieb genommen werden, entsorgen Sie

ihn gemäß den örtlichen Vorschriften.

3 Installation

WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungsgefähr-

liche Spannung bis 100 V an der

Anschlussleitung an. Die Installa-

tion darf nur durch Fachpersonal

erfolgen.

Achten Sie auf die Belastung des ELA-Verstärkers

durch die Lautsprecher. Eine Überlastung kann den

Verstärker beschädigen! Die Summe der Leistun-

gen aller angeschlossenen Lautsprecher darf die

Verstärkerleistung nicht überschreiten.

1) -Je nach Montageart den Lautsprecher auf die ab

gehängte Decke (a) auﬂegen oder an der oberen

Decke (b) aufhängen. Für die Aufhängung sind

drei 7-mm-Bohrungen an der Schallwand vorge-

sehen. Bei der Auﬂagemontage ist ein Abstand

zwischen den Decken von mindestens 100 mm

zu berücksichtigen und bei der Aufhängung von

mindestens 250 mm (siehe Zeichnung).

2) Vor dem Anschluss des Lautsprechers die ELA-

Anlage komplett ausschalten, damit die 100-V-

Audioleitung vom ELA-Verstärker spannungsfrei

ist!

3) Die Leitung des Lautsprechers an die 100-V-

Audioleitung vom ELA-Verstärker anschließen:

Die weiße Ader und eine der anderen farbigen

Adern, die der gewünschten Nennbelastung

(Lautstärke) entspricht, mit der 100-V-Audiolei-

tung verbinden.

4) Beim Anschluss von mehreren Lautsprechern

darauf achten, dass die Lautsprecher alle gleich

gepolt werden.

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte agli installatori

che possiedono delle conoscenze speciﬁche

sufﬁcienti della tecnica di sonorizzazione a

100 V. Vi preghiamo di leggerle attentamente

prima dell’installazione e di conservarle per un

uso futuro.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Questi diffusori da appoggiare nel sofﬁtto sono stati

realizzati particolarmente per l’impiego in impianti

di sonorizzazione che funzionano con uscita audio

100 V. Sono basati sul principio della tecnica della pa-

rete sonora aperta e sono adatti per essere appog-

giati su controsofﬁtti o per essere appesi liberamente.

2 Note importanti

Il diffusore è conforme a tutte le direttive rilevanti

dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

•

Il diffusore è previsto solo per l’uso all’interno di

locali. Proteggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli

spruzzi d’acqua, da alta umidità dell’aria e dal calore

(temperatura d’impiego ammessa fra 0e 40 °C).

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,

asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti

chimici o acqua.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di montaggio sbagliato,

di collegamenti sbagliati o di sovraccarico del dif-

fusore, non si assume nessuna responsabilità per

eventuali danni consequenziali a persone o a cose

e non si assume nessuna garanzia per il diffusore.

Se il diffusore deve essere messo deﬁnitiva-

mente fuori servizio, smaltire il diffusore in

conformità con le normative locali.

3 Installazione

AVVERTIMENTO Durante il funzionamento, al cavo

di collegamento è presente una

tensione pericolosa ﬁno a 100 V.

L’installazione deve essere fatta

solo da personale qualiﬁcato.

Fare attenzione al carico che gli altoparlanti eser-

citano sull’ampliﬁcatore PA. Un sovraccarico può

danneggiare l’ampliﬁcatore! La somma delle po-

tenze di tutti gli altoparlanti collegati non deve

superare la potenza dell’ampliﬁcatore.

1) A seconda del tipo di montaggio appoggiare il

diffusore sul controsofﬁtto (a) o appenderlo al

sofﬁtto (b). Per il montaggio appeso sono previ-

sti tre fori di 7 mm nella parete sonora. In caso

di montaggio appoggiato si deve tener presente

una distanza fra i sofﬁtti non inferiore a 100 mm

e in caso di montaggio sospeso, la distanza deve

essere non inferiore a 250 mm (vedi disegno).

2) Prima di effettuare il collegamento del diffusore,

occorre spegnere completamente l’impianto PA,

afﬁnché la linea audio 100 V dall’ampliﬁcatore PA

sia esente di tensione!

3) Collegare il cavo del diffusore con l’uscita audio

100 V dell’ampliﬁcatore PA: collegare il condut-

tore bianco e uno dei conduttori colorati che corri-

sponde alla potenza nominale desiderata (volume)

con l’uscita audio 100 V.

Cette notice s’adresse aux installateurs possé-

dant des connaissances sufﬁsantes en technique

de sonorisation ligne 100 V. Veuillez lire la pré-

sente notice avec attention avant l‘installation

et conservez-la pour pouvoir vous y reporter

ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Ces haut-parleurs pour plafond suspendu sont

conçus spéciﬁquement pour une utilisation dans des

installations de sonorisation fonctionnant en ligne

100 V. Ils sont fondés sur le principe de la technique

de paroi sonore ouverte et sont adaptés pour un

positionnement sur des plafonds suspendus ou pour

une suspension libre.

2 Conseils importants

Le haut-parleur répond à toutes les directives néces-

saires de l’Union européenne et porte donc le sym-

bole .

•

Le haut-parleur n’est conçu que pour une utilisa-

tion en intérieur. Protégez-le de tout type de pro-

jections d’eau, des éclaboussures, d’une humidité

d’air élevée et de la chaleur (plage de température

de fonctionnement autorisée : 0 – 40 °C).

•

Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon

sec et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques

ou d’eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si le

haut-parleur est utilisé dans un but autre que celui

pour lequel il a été conçu, s’il n’est pas correcte-

ment installé ou branché, ou s’il y a surcharge ; en

outre, la garantie deviendrait caduque.

Lorsque le haut-parleur est déﬁnitivement

retiré du service, éliminez-le conformé-

ment aux directives locales.

3 Installation

AVERTISSEMENT

Pendant le fonctionnement, une

tension de contact dangereuse

jusqu’à 100 V est présente au câble

de connexion. Seul un personnel

qualiﬁé peut effectuer l’installation.

Faites attention à la charge de l’ampliﬁcateur Public

Adress par les haut-parleurs. Une surcharge peut

l’endommager ! La somme des puissances de tous

les haut-parleurs reliés ne doit pas dépasser la puis-

sance de l’ampliﬁcateur.

1) Selon le type de montage, positionnez le haut-

parleur sur le plafond suspendu (a) ou suspen-

dez-le au plafond supérieur (b). Trois trous de

7 mm sur la paroi sonore sont prévus pour le sus-

pendre. Pour le positionnement et le montage,

une distance entre les plafonds de 100 mm au

moins doit être respectée et pour une suspension,

une distance de 250 mm au moins (voir schéma).

2) Avant de brancher le haut-parleur, éteignez com-

plètement l’installation Public Adress aﬁn que le

câble audio 100 V de l’ampliﬁcateur Public Adress

ne soit pas porteur de tension.

3) Reliez le câble du haut-parleur au câble audio

100 V de l’ampliﬁcateur Public Adress : reliez le

conducteur blanc et un des conducteurs d’une

autre couleur, correspondant à la puissance no-

minale souhaitée (volume), au câble audio 100 V.

4) Si vous branchez plusieurs haut-parleurs, veillez à

ce qu’ils aient tous la même polarité.

Niniejsza instrukcja przeznaczona jest instalato-

rów posiadających wiedzę w zakresie systemów

PA pracujących w technice 100 V. Przed rozpo-

częciem użytkowania proszę zapoznać się z

instrukcją, a następnie zachować ją do wglądu.

1 Zastosowanie

Niniejsze głośniki przeznaczone są do pracy w syste-

mach PA w technice 100 V. Mogą być montowane

bezpośrednio na stelażu suﬁtu podwieszanego bądź

za pomocą linek montażowych.

2 Środki bezpieczeństwa

Urządzenie spełnia wymogi dyrektyw obowiązują-

cych w Unii Europejskiej, posiada więc oznaczenie .

•

Głośnik przeznaczony jest tylko do zastosowań

wewnętrznych. Należy chronić go przez wodą,

dużą wilgotnością oraz wysokimi temperaturami

(dopuszczalny zakres 0 – 40 °C).

•

Do czyszczenia należy używać suchej i miękkiej

ściereczki, nie używać wody ani środków che-

micznych.

•

Producent i dostawca nie ponoszą odpowiedzial-

ności za powstałe szkody: uszkodzenia sprzętu

bądź obrażenia użytkownika, jeżeli głośnik był uży-

wany niezgodnie z przeznaczeniem, niepoprawnie

zainstalowany, podłączony lub przeciążony.

Po całkowitym zakończeniu eksploatacji

urządzenie należy oddać do punktu uty-

lizacji odpadów.

3 Instalacja

UWAGA Podczas pracy urządzenia na przyłą-

czu linii występuje napięcie osiągające

do 100 V, które stanowi potencjalne

zagrożenie dla zdrowia lub życia.

Podłączenie urządzenia należy zlecić

specjaliście.

Należy zwrócić uwagę na odpowiedni dobór mocy

głośników do mocy wzmacniacza. Nieodpowiedni

dobór mocy głośników może spowodować uszko-

dzenie wzmacniacza PA! Całkowita moc wszystkich

podłączonych głośników nie może przekraczać

mocy wzmacniacza.

1) W zależności od sposobu montażu, umieścić

głośnik na stelażu suﬁtu podwieszanego (a) lub

zamontować do suﬁtu za pomocą linek monta-

żowych (b). W tym celu wykorzystać wykonane

otwory montażowe z gwintem 7 mm. Należy za-

chować dystans minimum 250 mm od stropu oraz

100 mm w przypadku podwieszania nad suﬁtem

(patrz rysunek).

2) Przed przystąpieniem do podłączania, należy

bezwzględnie wyłączyć cały system audio, aby w

kablu głośnikowym i na zaciskach głośnika nie wy-

stępowało niebezpieczne napięcie 100 V!

3) Podłączyć głośnik do kabla głośnikowego 100 V:

białą żyłę oraz jedną z pozostałych, w zależności

od żądanej mocy (głośności) głośnika.

4) Przy podłączaniu kilku głośników, należy zwrócić

uwagę, aby wszystkie głośniki miały jednakową

polaryzację.

Techos Suspendidos

Estas instrucciones van dirigidas a instaladores

con un conocimiento suﬁciente sobre la tecno-

logía de 100 V en aplicaciones para megafonía.

Lea atentamente estas instrucciones antes de la

instalación y guárdelas para usos posteriores.

1 Aplicaciones

Estos altavoces para techos suspendidos están di-

señados especialmente para aplicaciones en siste-

mas de megafonía con línea de 100 V. Se basan en

el principio de dispersión del baﬂe acústico y están

adecuados para colocarse en techos suspendidos o

para suspensión libre.

2 Notas Importantes

El altavoz cumple con todas las directivas relevantes

de la UE y por lo tanto está marcado con el sím-

bolo .

•

El altavoz está adecuado para utilizarlo sólo en

interiores. Protéjalo de goteos, salpicaduras y ele-

vada humedad del aire. Rango de temperatura

ambiente admisible: 0 – 40 °C.

•

Utilice sólo un paño suave y seco para la limpieza;

no utilice nunca ni agua ni productos químicos.

•

No podrá reclamarse garantía o responsabilidad

alguna por cualquier daño personal o material re-

sultante si se utiliza el altavoz para ﬁnes diferentes

a los originalmente concebidos, si no se conecta o

se instala correctamente, o si se sobrecarga.

Si el altavoz se va a dejar fuera de servi-

cio deﬁnitivamente, deshágase del altavoz

según las normativas locales.

3 Instalación

ADVERTENCIA Durante el funcionamiento, existe el

peligro de contacto con un voltaje

de hasta 100 V en el cable de cone-

xión. Sólo un técnico debe realizar

la instalación.

Preste atención a la carga del ampliﬁcador de

megafonía con los altavoces. ¡Una sobrecarga

puede dañar el ampliﬁcador! La potencia total de

todos los altavoces conectados no puede sobrepa-

sar la potencia del ampliﬁcador.

1) Dependiendo del modo de montaje, coloque el

altavoz en el techo suspendido (a) o suspéndalo

en el techo superior (b). Hay 3 agujeros horadados

de 7 mm provistos para la suspensión en el baﬂe

acústico. Para colocarlo y montarlo, se necesita

una distancia mínima de 100 mm entre los techos

y una distancia mínima de 250 mm para suspen-

derlo (ver dibujo).

2) Antes de la conexión del altavoz, desconecte el

sistema de megafonía completamente de modo

que el cable de audio de 100 V del ampliﬁcador de

megafonía no contenga ningún voltaje.

3) Conecte el cable del altavoz al cable de audio de

100 V del ampliﬁcador de megafonía: Conecte el

conductor blanco y uno de los otros conductores

coloreados que corresponda con el nivel de poten-

cia deseado (volumen) al cable de audio de 100 V.

4) Cuando conecte varios altavoces, asegúrese de
