APPLICATIONS CONNECTIONS
From the AX-GMCL2 harness to the aftermarket radio, connect the:
• wire to the ground wire.Black
• Yellow wire to the battery wire.
• wire to the accessory wire.Red
• Blue/White wire to the amp turn-on wire.
• Orange wire to the illumination wire (if applicable).
There are (2) illumination wires. If the wire on the 24-pin harness is populated Note: Orange
on the factory side, use that wire instead.
• Tape off and disregard the Orange/White wire, it will not be used in this application.
• wire to the front right positive speaker output.Gray
• Gray/Black wire to the front right negative speaker output.
• White wire to the front left positive speaker output.
• White/Black wire to the front left negative speaker output.
• Green wire to the rear left positive speaker output.
• Green/Black wire to the rear left negative speaker output.
• wire to the rear right positive speaker output.Purple
• wire to the rear right negative speaker output.Purple/Black
The following (3) wires are only for multimedia/navigation radios that require these wires.
• wire to the VSS/speed sense wire.Blue/Pink
• Green/Purple wire to the reverse wire.
• Light Green wire to the parking brake wire.

amplifier. Either use the AX-GMCL2-SWC interface, or bypass the amplifier.

CONNECTIONS (CONT) INSTALLATION
With the key in the off position:
Connect the 1. AX-GMCL2 harness into the AX-GMCL2 interface, and then to the wiring harness
in the vehicle.
Note: If installing an ASWC-1, connect it after you program and test the AX-GMCL2, with the
key in the off position.
Attention! If the interface loses power for any reason, the following steps will need to be
performed again.
Cycle the engine on.1.
If the radio doesn’t come on within 60 seconds, turn the key to the off position, Note:
disconnect the interface, check all connections, reconnect the interface, and then try again.
Cycle the ignition off, then back on.2.
Test all functions of the installation for proper installation.3.
12-pin pre-wired ASWC-1 harness:
• This harness is to be used along with the (sold separately) to retain steering wheel ASWC-1
audio controls. If the is not being used, disregard this harness. If it will be used, refer ASWC-1
to the instructions for radio connections and programming. Disregard the harness ASWC-1
that comes with the .ASWC-1
• The following wire(s) must be cut before programming the ASWC-1:
* For the following vehicles cut the White/Green Green/Orange Orange/Green, , and wires.
** For the following vehicles cut the White/Green Pink Green/Orange, , and wires.
*** For the following vehicles cut the and Pink Green/Orange wires.
† For the following vehicles cut the White/Green Pink and wires.
