1. Insert the 3.5 mm plug into the audio jack on your
laptop, or soundcard.
2. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
3. Using the controls on the wired remote, turn on the
power and adjust the speaker volume. Bass volume
control is located on the back of the subwoofer.
4. Open your soundcard’s mixer program.
Windows® XP
• Go to the START menu, choose CONTROL PANEL,
choose CLASSIC VIEW, then SOUND AND AUDIO
DEVICES.
• Choose the AUDIO tab, select your SOUNDCARD as the
SOUND PLAYBACK DEVICE.
• Choose the VOLUME tab, adjust VOLUME SLIDER as
necessary. The wave slider should be on the highest
setting. Do not select MUTE option.
• Select VOICE tab, then TEST HARDWARE tab to
ensure proper installation.
Windows Vista®
• Go to the START menu, choose CONTROL PANEL,
choose CLASSIC VIEW, choose SOUNDS.
• Choose the PLAYBACK tab, select your
SOUNDCARD as the SOUND PLAYBACK device if
it is not already set as Default. Verify the SPEAKER
ICON is NOT muted.
• Perform test.
Mac® OSX
• Go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES, Choose SOUND.
• Choose the OUTPUT tab, select your SOUNDCARD
as the SOUND OUTPUT DEVICE, adjust the
OUTPUT VOLUME SLIDER to the desired level.
Verify the MUTE box is unchecked.

• Vérifiez que l'installation est correcte dans l'onglet
Voix, puis dans Test du matériel.
Windows Vista®
• Dans le menu Démarrer, sélectionnez Panneau de
configuration, Affichage classique, puis Sons.
• Dans l’onglet Lecture, spécifiez la carte son
comme dispositif de lecture des sons si elle n’est
pas déjà définie par défaut. Vérifiez que l’icône du
haut-parleur n’est pas mise en sourdine.
• Procédez au test.
Mac® OSX
• Dans Préférences Système, sélectionnez Son.
• Dans l’onglet Sortie, définissez la carte son comme
périphérique de sortie et réglez le niveau du
volume de sortie à l’aide du curseur. Vérifiez
que l’option Muet n’est pas sélectionnée.

To adjust bass level from your LS21 speakers, turn the bass control up
or down.

Most types of analog headphones with a 3.5 mm connector can be plugged
into the headphone jack on the front of the wired remote control. When you
plug in headphones, the speakers are muted automatically. With headphones
plugged into your LS21 speakers, the main control of volume is through your PC.
Headphone volume will not be affected by the LS21 volume control.

Speakers produce weak or no sound.
• Is the power light on? Make sure the speakers are plugged into an electrical
outlet and the power button is on. Move the power switch on the remote to
the “on” position.
• Try connecting the speakers to an alternate audio source – for example, a CD
player, MP3 player, or radio. If there is sound from the speakers, the problem is
probably with your soundcard.
One speaker doesn’t produce sound.
• The audio plug must be securely inserted into the appropriate audio jacks.
• Is the soundcard balance control centered? Open your soundcard’s mixer
program as described in Section 3. Adjust the balance control for equal
volume on left and right.

Limited Warranty
Logitech Hardware Product Limited Warranty. Logitech® warrants that your Logitech hardware product shall be free from defects in
material and workmanship for two (2) years, beginning from the date of purchase. Except where prohibited by applicable law, this
warranty is nontransferable and is limited to the original purchaser. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have
other rights that vary under local laws.
Remedies. Logitech’s entire liability and your exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty shall be, at Logitech’s option, (1) to repair or
replace the hardware, or (2) to refund the price paid, provided that the hardware is returned to the point of purchase, or such other
place as Logitech may direct, with a copy of the sales receipt or dated itemized receipt. Shipping and handling charges may apply
except where prohibited by applicable law. Logitech may, at its option, use new or refurbished or used parts in good working
condition to repair or replace any hardware product. Any replacement hardware product will be warranted for the remainder of the
original warranty period, or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer or for any additional period of time that may be applicable in
your jurisdiction.
Limits of Warranty. This warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting from (1) accident, abuse, misapplication, or any
unauthorized repair, modification or disassembly; (2) improper operation or maintenance, usage not in accordance with product
instructions or connection to improper voltage supply; or (3) use of consumables, such as replacement batteries, not supplied by
Logitech except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
How to Obtain Warranty Support. Before submitting a warranty claim, we recommend you visit the support section at
www.logitech.com for technical assistance. Valid warranty claims are generally processed through the point of purchase during the
first thirty (30) days after purchase; however, this period of time may vary depending on where you purchased your product. Please
check with Logitech or the retailer where you purchased your product for details. Warranty claims that cannot be processed through
the point of purchase and any other product related questions should be addressed directly to Logitech. The addresses and customer

Limitation of Liability. Logitech shall not be liable for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages whatsoever, including

exclusion or limitation of special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply

merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose on this hardware product is limited in duration to the duration of the applicable
limited warranty period for your product. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the
