Operation:
Switch the unit ON and set the “Flash power control” and “Modeling lamp switch” as required. When the unit
has charged to the required level, the red “Ready” indicator will light. The “Test button” should be pressed to
ensure that the flash is of the required power. Plug in the “Sync cord” and connect to the camera shutter at “X”
synchronization. Alternatively, use the built-in “Photocell” or plug in the “Radio remote control receiver”.
Power supply connections
220 V AC 50 Hz. Use the main lead supplied to connect to the main supply.
Main ON/OFF switch
Set the red illuminated On/Off switch to “ ” to turn the unit ON.
Flash power selection
The unit can offer stepless power variation from full to 1/8, rotate the power control to adjust the power you
need.
Charge
When first switched to ”, the red illuminated ON/OFF switch will light up. When the unit has charged to the
level set by the flash power selector, the red “Ready” Indicator will light up again. Your flash light is now ready.

Synchronization
- Test button: For testing, or multiple flashes can be used.
- Sync socket: The standard 0.35 cm jack type socket on the rear panel of the unit may be used for direct
connection to a camera set to “x” synchronization. A “Radio remote control receiver” may also be plugged
into this socket.
- Photocell: The unit has a built-in photocell, enabling the unit to be triggered by the flash from any other
flash unit, or a small camera mounted flashgun. The photocell is mounted behind the red “Ready”
indicator on the rear panel.
Modeling lamp control
Set the yellow switch to “ ” to turn on the modeling lamp and keep it on all the time.
Fuse
The modeling and flash circuitry is protected by a single 7 amp fuse mounted on the rear panel. Never replace
the fuse with one of a different rating. Be sure to switch OFF the unit before changing the bulb or fuse.
Warning - high voltage
Do not touch the flashtube assembly for thirty minutes after disconnecting from the supply.

opened by an authorized technician when service is required.
Disconnect the product from mains and other equipment if a
problem should occur. Do not expose the product to water or
moisture.
Maintenance:
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use cleaning solvents or abrasives.
