This warranty covers manufacturer’s defects including electrical and mechanical defects provided the
appliance is correctly assembled, operated and maintained according to the supplied instructions. It does not
cover damage caused by accident, misuse or abuse including overheating, unauthorized repairs or
alterations, or use with a voltage converter or aftermarket accessories, and it does not apply to scratches,
stains, discoloration or other surface damage that does not impair the product function. This warranty is void
if the appliance is ever used for purposes other than private household food preparation.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
WARNING - To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, DO NOT remove
the cover indicated by the arrow in the gure below. There are no user
serviceable parts inside.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including

5. ALWAYS UNPLUG coeemaker from power outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before putting on or taking o parts, cleaning or storing.
6. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions
or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result
in re, electric shock or injury to persons.
8. DO NOT use outdoors.
9. NEVER let the cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
10. DO NOT place coeemaker on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. DO NOT use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
12. The carafe is designed for use only with this coeemaker.
13. Scalding may occure if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles. ALWAYS keep the lid on
the carafe when in use.
14. To protect against electrical shock, this appliance is equipped with a cord having a 3-prong
grounding-type plug for insertion inot a proper grounding-type receptacle. DO NOT alter the plug
for use in a 2-prong receptacle. If the plug will not t into a recepatacle, have the proper receptacle
installed by a qualied electrician.
15. Do not set a hot container on wet or cold surface.
16. Do not use a cracked container or a container having a loose or weakened handle.
17. Do not clean container with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.
18. The container is designed for use with this appliance, it must never be used on a range top.
19. This appliance is not intended for use by persons, including children, with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, without supervision and
instruction by a person responsible for their safety
20. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
21.Do not leave children unattended while cleaning or maintenance.

SHORT POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entan-
gled in or tripping over a longer cord. This appliance is equipped with a short power-supply cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care
is exercised in their use.
1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance cord.
2. The cord should be arranged so that it wil not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it
can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
3. The extension cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord.

or any liquid.
The easy-to-use programmable digital controls let you know when the coee is ready, and even
keeps t ack of the f eshness of each br r rewed carafe. It’s ne er been easier o b ew the pe t cup v t r rfec

BREWING COFFEE
1. Open the top cover (See Fig. 3).
Before the rst use of the coeemaker wash the brew basket, the permanent gold-tone lter, the
carafe and carafe lid in either the top rack of your dishwasher, or by hand in warm, sudsy water.
The Exterior of the coeemaker, the control panel area and the warming plate should only be
cleaned with a soft damp cloth.
To clean inside of the reservoir, raise the cover
and allow it to rest in the open position. Wipe
surfaces with a damp cloth (See Fig. 2), and
close cover.
After all parts are washed for the rst time pour
cold water up to the 12 cup level mark in the
water reservoir. Brew it through the coee-
maker as instructed in BREWING, but do not
add cofee grounds to the paper lter. When
done, turn o the coeemaker and discard the
water from the carafe.
