IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. Before using the unit, check if the voltage indicated corresponds with the
convenience outlet (230Va.c.).
3. Do not use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. If the appliance was damaged,
bring the unit to the nearest Imarflex Authorized Service Center to obtain evaluation
and repair.
4. Do not use two-way socket with other appliance.
5. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the unit in water.
6. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces to
avoid accident.
7. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
8. This appliance is not intended to use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
9. Do not use accessories not recommended or sold with this unit.
10. Keep curtains, furniture, ammable materials, etc. away from the unit and from the
convenience outlet where the unit is plugged.
11. Extreme caution must be taken in moving an appliance containing hot oil or liquids.
12. Do not touch the Fondue while cooking is in progress.
13. Do not use metal scouring in cleaning the unit.
14. Do not use this unit other than its intended use.
15. CAUTION: Never leave the unit unattended while cooking.
16. For household use only; not intended for any business purposes.
17. Save this instruction for future reference.
DESCRIPTION OF PARTS
FOR THE FIRST USE
1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Wash FONDUE POT, COVER, FORK HOLDER and FORKS in hot, soapy
water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
CAUTION: Do not wash or immerse the TEMPERATURE CONTROL or the FONDUE
POT in water.
HOW TO USE
1. Set the FONDUE POT on a at, dry, heat-resistant surface.
2. Make sure that the TEMPERATURE CONTROL is in OFF position, and then
insert into the TEMPERATURE CONTROL SOCKET.
3. Plug the unit into the convenience outlet.
4. Preheat the unit if necessary (follow directions in recipe being used). Turn the
TEMPERATURE CONTROL to desired setting. (Light Indicator will turn OFF
when the temperature set is reached. The Light Indicator will remain OFF
as long as the unit keeps the set temperature and will turn ON once the
temperature decreases.)
5. Use the FONDUE FORKS to spear foods for cooking or dipping. Be careful not
to touch the hot surface.
6. After cooking or serving, turn the TEMPERATURE CONTROL to the OFF
position and unplug the unit from the convenience outlet. After the FONDUE
POT has cooled, remove the TEMPERATURE CONTROL.
HOW TO USE WITH OIL
1. Make sure that the Fondue pot is completely dry before putting the oil.
2. Place the Fondue pot on a at, dry, resistant surface.
3. Fill Fondue with 2 3/4 cups of oil. Make sure not to use more than the amount
stated. Never add water or any other liquid to oil. Never add water or any
other liquid to oil.
4. Place the Fork Holder on the top edge of the fondue. Do not cover the fondue
pot when heating or cooking in oil.
5. Make sure to remove any ice crystals or excess water on food before cooking
in oil.
6. Once done with cooking, turn the variable temperature control OFF. Allow the
fondue and fork holder to cool down completely before cleaning.
WARNING:
Do not remove the temperature control to disconnect the fondue from
the convenience outlet. Always use the plug to unplug the fondue from
the convenience outlet .
IMPORTANT:
Do not fill the fondue with more that 2 3/4 cups of oil.
Do not move the unit when it contains hot oil or food.
Always use hot pads when handling a hot fondue.
When using fondue forks in the fondue, be careful not to scratch the fork
holder.
Do not immerse the variable temperature control or cord set in water or
other liquids.
Use only heat-resistant surfaces.
IDEAL FOR
Prepare cheese sauce for Macaroni and Cheese.
Melt chocolate or almond bark in fondue for making covered peanuts and
pretzels.
Use fondue (on warm setting) to keep cooked food warm for serving.
Prepare cooked pudding and pie lling.
Heat canned convenience foods such as chili, stew, soup, or spaghetti.
Prepare cooked breakfast cereals such as oatmeal or cream of wheat.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Always turn the variable temperature control off and unplug the unit
from the convenience outlet .
Do not immerse cord sets or variable temperature control on water or any liquid.
Do not stick pins or any other sharp objects on the magnetic cord set.
Do not use any type of steel wool to clean magnetic contacts.
1. Turn o the variable temperature control. After making sure that the fondue pot
has cooled down, remove the cord plug from the outlet.
2. Detach the variable temperature control from the unit before cleaning. Do not add
cold water or immerse the pot in water when hot. Never immerse the variable
temperature control or cord set in water or any type of liquid. Clean it by wiping
with damp cloth and then set to dry.
3. Thoroughly wash the fondue pot and fork holder with hot, soapy water. Rinse
thoroughly and dry. To remove stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or a
non-metal cleaning pad. Do not use metal scouring pads or harsh scouring
powders.
4. Wash the fondue forks in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
