Bestimungsgemäße Verwendung
Der Monitor AL-1 ist ein passiver Grenzwertschalter zur Überwachung
von Analogsignalen. Er vergleicht das Istsignal eines 4 ... 20mA Si-
gnalgebers mit dem eingestellten Sollwert. Das Relais zieht an, wenn
der Wert des Istsignals den eingestellten Sollwert erreicht.
• Hysteresefunktion: das Relais fällt ab, wenn der eingestellte Sollwert
unterschritten wird. Wird der Sollwert wieder erreicht, zieht das
Relais an.
• Speicherfunktion: das Relais fällt nicht ab, wenn der eingestellte Soll-
wert unterschritten wird. Das Relais muß manuell per Reset
zurückgestellt werden.
• Schleifenüberwachung: Das Analogsignal wird ständig überwacht.
Ist das Signal 4mA, schaltet der Transistor.≥
Ist das Signal < 4mA, wird der Ausgang gesperrt.
Bedien- und Anzeigeelemente
Montage / Elektrischer Anschluß
Klemmen Sie den Monitor auf eine 35mm-Profilschiene.
Schalten Sie die Anlage spannungsfrei und schließen Sie den
Monitor an.
Der Monitor wird direkt in die Stromschleife geschaltet, somit ist keine
weitere Hilfsenergie erforderlich.

4:+ / 5:- Schleifenüberwachung; max. 15mA
Einstellen
Sollwert
Stellen Sie den Sollwert bei aktivem Eingangssignal mit dem Potentio-
meter auf einen Wert zwischen 4 und 20mA ein.
Hysteresefunktion
Das Ausgangsrelais zieht an, wenn der Wert des Analogsignals den
eingestellten Sollwert erreicht. Wird das Signal kleiner, fällt das Relais
beim Sollwert abzüglich des Hysteresewerts ab.
Der Hysteresewert kann per DIP-Schalter hinter der Gehäuseklappe
von 0,1 auf 1,0mA umgeschaltet werden.
Speicherfunktion
Das Ausgangsrelais zieht an, wenn der Wert des Analogsignals den
eingestellten Sollwert erreicht. Wird das Signal kleiner, fällt das Relais
nicht ab. Es muß über Reset (Fronttaster) zurückgesetzt werden.
Die Speicherfunktion kann per DIP-Schalter hinter der Gehäuseklappe
aktiviert werden.
Betrieb
Prüfen Sie, ob das Gerät sicher funktioniert. Anzeige durch rote LED.
LED rot leuchtet = Sollwert ist erreicht, das Relais schaltet.

Function and features
The monitor AL-1 is a passive limit monitor to monitor an analog sig-
nal. It compares the actual signal of a 4 to 20 mA sensor with the pre-
set value. The relay is energised when the value of the actual signal
reaches the preset value.
• Hysteresis function: the relay is de-energised if the actual value is
below the preset value. If the preset value is reached again, the relay
is energised.
• Latch output: the relay does not de-energise if the actual value is below
the preset value. The relay has to be reset manually via the push-button.
• Loop monitoring: The analog signal is constantly monitored.
If the signal is 4mA, a transistor switches.≥
If the signal is < 4mA, the output is blocked.
Controls and indicators
Mounting / Electrical connection
Mount the monitor on a 35mm rail.
Disconnect power and connect the monitor.
The monitor is directly connected into the current loop which
means that no other auxiliary energy is needed.
Fonctionnement et caractéristiques
Le contrôleur AL-1 est un relais à seuil pour surveiller un signal analo-
gique. Il compare le signal d’entrée 4 à 20mA avec la valeur de consi-
gne sélectionnée. Le relais est enclenché si la valeur du signal d’entrée
atteint la valeur de consigne.
• Fonction hystérésis: le relais est déclenché lorsque la valeur descend
en-dessous de la valeur de consigne moins la valeur de l’hystérésis. Si
la valeur de consigne présélectiomnée est de nouveau atteinte, le
relais s’enclenche.
• Fonction mémoire: le relais ne déclenche pas lorsque la valeur actuelle
descend en-dessous de la valeur de consigne sélectionnée. Le déclenche-
ment se fait par un reset manuel à l’aide du bouton-poussoir.
• Surveillance de la boucle: la boucle est surveillée en permanence.
Si le signal est 4 mA, la sortie de transistor est commutée. ≥
Eléments de service et d’indication
Montage / Raccordement électrique
Monter le contrôleur sur un rail 35mm.
Mettre l’installation hors tension et raccorder le contrôleur.
Le contrôleur est directement alimenté par la boucle de courant.
Il fonctionne donc sans alimentation auxiliaire.

Entrée 1:+ / 2:- 4 ... 20mA

max. 250V AC; max 4As
4:+ / 5:- surveillance de la boucle; max. 15mA
Réglage
Valeur de consigne
Régler la valeur de consigne entre 4 et 20mA à l’aide du potentiomètre
lorsque le signal d’éntrée est actif.
Fonction hystérésis
Le relais de sortie est enclenché lorsque la valeur du signal analogique
atteint la valeur de consigne sélectionnée. Si le signal est plus faible, le
relais est déclenché à la valeur de consigne moins la valeur de l'hy
stérésis. La valeur de l'hystérésis peut être ajustée à 0,1 ou 1,0mA
grâce au microcommutateur derrière le cache.
Fonction mémoire
Le relais de sortie est enclenché lorsque la valeur du signal analogique
atteint la valeur de consigne sélectionnée. Si le signal est plus faible, le
relais n'est pas déclenché. Le déclenchement se fait par un reset (bou
ton-poussoir en face avant). La fonction mémoire est à sélectionner pa
le microcommutateur derrière le cache.
Fonctionnement
Vérifier le bon fonctionnement du contrôleur. Indication par LED rouge.
LED rouge allumée = valeur de consigne atteinte, relais commuté.

Setting
Preset value
Set the preset switching value to a value between 4 and 20mA by
means of the potentiometer when the input signal is active.
Hysteresis function
The output relay is energised if the value of the analog signal reaches
the preset value. If the signal is lower, the relay is de-energised at the
preset value less the hysteresis value.
The hysteresis value can be set to 0.1 or 1.0mA by means of the DIP
switch behind the cover.
Latched output function
When this function is selected the output relay is energised if the value
of the analog signal reaches the preset value. If the signal becomes
lower, the relay does not de-energise. It has to be reset via the push-
button on the front panel.
The latched output function can be activated with the DIP switch
behind the cover.
Operation
Check the safe functioning of the unit. Indication by a red LED.
Red LED is lit = preset value is reached, the relay switches.
