General information
The GLP iQ.Tool allows you to manage GLP lighting fixtures from a mobile device using the GLP
iQ.Service app. is available in two versions: the and . The Pro version includes a It iQ.Tool iQ.Tool Pro
spectral light sensor.
Use the device only as described in the operating instructions. Failure to observe these
instructions may impair the degree of protection provided by the measuring device.
The iQ.Tool is rated IP 20 and is for indoor use only. Do not allow it to become wet.

Waste disposal
As a consumer, you are required to return old devices to the manufacturer or to a designated collection point for the
disposal of electrical and electronic equipment in order to ensure environmentally-friendly disposal. Observe the
current regulations in your location. This product and its packaging have been manufactured using high-quality
materials and components that can be recycled and reused. This reduces waste and protects the environment.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner a designated collection point. at
This product is labelled in accordance with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive
(WEEE). It contains a non-removable rechargeable battery. Do not dispose of the product in ordinary
household waste.
Warning! Incorrect disposal of batteries creates a hazard to the environment and to health!
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must never be disposed of with household waste. They contain
pollutants such as heavy metals which can be harmful to the environment and human health if disposed
of improperly. Valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel can be recovered from
battery waste. As a consumer, you are legally obliged to hand in used batteries and rechargeable batteries for
environmentally-friendly disposal at retailers or appropriate collection points in accordance with national or local
regulations. The return service is free of charge. You can obtain addresses of suitable collection points from your city
council or local authority.
Do not litter the environment by leaving batteries (or electrical and electronic devices that contain them) lying
around carelessly. The separate collection and recycling of batteries and rechargeable batteries makes an important
contribution to relieving the impact on the environment and avoiding health risks.

Get ready to start!
Fully charge the GLP iQ.Tool via its USB-C port using the included USB-C charging cable and a
standard USB charger. The status LED flashes red during charging and Status LED lights G H
constant green when charging is complete.
Download and install the GLP iQ.Service
app:
Start the iQ.Service app.
If you do not already have a GLP iQ.Service
account, register the iQ.Service app by
clicking on ‘Register’ and following the
instructions on your device.
Connecting to the iQ.Service app
Switch on the iQ.Tool
by holding button B
for 3 seconds until
the green status LED
E lights continuously.
Start the GLP
iQ.Service app on
your device.
Optional: Perform
any library updates
offered if necessary.

of the screen.

After successful scanning, the iQ.Tool will now appear in the list of recognized devices.

Using the iQ.Tool
To use the iQ.Tool, plug its XLR connector into the DMX IN socket of the fixture or daisy-chain of fixtures
that you want to manage, then switch on the iQ.Tool and connect it to the iQ.Service app as described
above. You can now for example:
• Configure fixtures (set the start address, select the control mode, adjust device-specific settings, load
factory defaults, etc.).
• Update firmware in single fixtures or multiple fixtures in a daisy chain.
• See fixture data and timer readouts.
• Send and receive RDM and DMX data.
