Nous garantissons votre montre contre tout défaut de conformité ainsi que contre tout défaut

relevant des matériaux utilisés pendant une période de deux ans à compter de la date d’achat. Si

durant cette période votre garde-temps devait présenter un de ces défauts, nous nous engageons

à le remettre en état sans frais. Une fois la période de garantie écoulée, la réparation vous sera

facturée en pièces et en main d’œuvre.

Votre montre a été manufacturée avec un soin absolu et vous servira durablement si vous veillez

- La couronne et les poussoirs de votre montre ne doivent pas être actionnés dans l’eau. Si

votre montre possède une couronne vissée, veillez à ce qu’elle n’entre à aucun moment en

contact avec de l’eau lorsque la couronne est dévissée;

- Evitez les chocs thermiques ainsi que l’exposition de votre montre à des températures

extrêmes, inférieures à 0° ou supérieures à 60 ° (sauna, hammam);

- Evitez toute utilisation de produits corrosifs/chimiques lors du nettoyage de votre montre ;

- Evitez tout contact avec certaines substances chimiques (essence, diluants, parfums, produits

Votre montre a été contrôlée attentivement et préservera toute son étanchéité si vous veillez à

prendre les précautions suivantes :

- Assurez-vous que la couronne ainsi que les poussoirs de votre montre sont dans leur position

contre le boîtier de votre montre.

- La couronne ainsi que les poussoirs de votre montre ne doivent en aucun cas être actionnés

REMONTAGE

)NTRODUCTION

Le remontage permet au mouvement d’emmagasiner l’énergie nécessaire au bon fonctionnement

de votre montre.

Les mouvements mécaniques manufacturés et produits au sein de la manufacture Girard-Perregaux

peuvent être de types manuel ou automatique, selon le modèle de votre montre.

La mise à l’heure de votre montre s’effectue par l’intermédiaire de la couronne. Celle-ci peut être

à 2 ou 3 positions, selon le modèle de votre montre.

1) Position de réglage de l’heure (couronne tirée).

2) Position de réglage de l’heure (couronne complètement tirée).

Si votre montre possède une indication de la date, assurez-vous que la

position des aiguilles correspond à un changement de date à minuit et

non à midi. Pour cela, repérez-vous au saut du quantième aux alentours de

2ÃGLAGE

A. Tirez la couronne de votre montre en position de réglage de l’heure.

Pour les montres avec indication des secondes, l’aiguille des secondes

s’arrête.

B. Tournez la couronne dans le sens horaire de façon à indiquer l’heure

choisie moins 5 minutes.

C. Faites lentement avancer l’aiguille des minutes, dans le sens horaire,

pour l’arrêter exactement sur la minute choisie.

D. À l’heure désirée, repositionnez la couronne contre le boîtier, en

position 0). La montre reprend instantanément sa marche.

Your watch has been manufactured with the greatest care, and will provide years of service if you

take the following precautions:

- Never activate the crown or push-buttons of your watch in water. If your watch has a screw-

down crown, make sure that it never comes into contact with water when its crown is

unscrewed;

- Avoid thermal shocks and exposing your watch to extreme temperatures, below 0 ° or above

60 ° (sauna, baths, etc.);

- Never use corrosive or chemical products to clean your watch;

- Avoid contact with certain chemical substances (petrol, thinners, perfumes, cleaning products,

Your watch has been rigorously checked and will retain its water-resistance if you take the

following precautions:

- Ensure that the crown and the push-buttons on your watch are in their initial position - position

0 - to prevent any damage to the mechanism. To do this, press the crown against the case.

- If your watch is equipped with a screw-down crown, ensure that it is locked after any

WINDING

Winding allows the movement to store up the energy necessary for your watch to function well.

Mechanical movements manufactured and produced at the manufacture Girard-Perregaux can be

manual or automatic depending on the model of your watch.

This type of movement means that to function normally, your watch needs to be regularly wound.

Depending on the model and the power reserve of your watch, it can go between 30 to 60

hours between two windings.

!UTOMATICžMECHANICALžMOVEMENT

This term means that your watch automatically stores up energy as you wear it on your wrist.

Indeed, your daily movement allows the oscillating mass to carry out rotating movements which,

thanks to a clockwork system, reproduce an energy to the movement and allows it to automatically

wind itself. Daily wear is enough to assure the power reserve necessary for your watch to function

well without it being necessary to wind it.

If your watch has not been worn for several consecutive days, it has to be manually wound. To do

this, please refer to the paragraph above ‘Manual winding mechanical movement’.

If your watch has a date indicator, make sure that the hands are in the date

change position, i.e. at midnight rather than midday. Use midnight as a

reference for the date and day change to ensure you are positioned at the

right time of day.

3ETTING

A. Pull your crown out to the time setting position. On watches with a

seconds indicator, the seconds hand will stop.

B. Turn your crown clockwise so as to indicate the selected time minus 5

minutes.

C. Slowly move the minute hand forward clockwise, stopping it exactly

at the selected minute.

D. At the desired time, push the crown back against the case, in position

0). The watch will restart immediately.

)NTRODUCTION

The date indication shows the number of the day in the month.

This function enables rapid date setting for your watch without altering the time. The indication

of the date is synchronized with the hour and minute hands. In any case, you need to correct the

date display for any month not lasting 31 days, for a single date.

7ARNINGžDo not perform this operation between 8 PM and 8 AM as the date change mechanism

is engaged, and the mechanism could become damaged.

A. Pull out the crown of your watch into the date setting position, in

This indicator allows you to know the status of your watch power in real time, or how long your

watch can work for before it will need to be wound again.

The power reserve indicator is synchronized with the movement, so it does not need to be set.

SECOND TIME ZONE

)NTRODUCTION

This function, which is highly valued by travellers, is used to display two

time zones simultaneously: The reference time or «home time», and the

local time.

The reference time («home time») is displayed on the central 24-hour

graduated disc. As usual, the local time is read on the external graduated

scale.

the second time zone hour hand forwards or backwards (local time). Press

TACHOMETRIC SCALE

)NTRODUCTION

This function measures an average speed over a given distance.

Let us take a road with 2 markers A and B set one kilometer (or mile) apart. Start your chronograph

as your car passes marker A, then stop it as it passes marker B. Then read the average speed

in kilometers/hour or miles/hour on the tachometer scale at the tip of the chronograph center

seconds hand.

CHRONOGRAPH

)NTRODUCTION

The chronograph seconds are displayed by a large center hand. The

minute, and possibly the hour, are generally displayed by 1 or 2 small

counters.

The seconds hand and the counters are interconnected.

On certain models, minute timing may also be indicated by a center hand

pointing to the dial’s graduated rim.

3ETTING

A. Press your watch’s push button at 2 o’clock: The center seconds hand

will start.

B. Press the same push button at 2 o’clock again: the center seconds hand

will stop.

C. Press your watch’s push-button at 4 o’clock: The center seconds and

the counter hands will return to zero.

7ARNING While the second hand is working, never reset to zero to

prevent damage to the mechanism. Always check the second hand has

stopped before resetting to zero.

DAY/NIGHT INDICATOR

The day/night indicator uses a system of discs representing the sun and moon to indicate whether

it is day or night. The special window depicts the night sky, in which the shape of the moon and

sun changes as the day advances.

When setting the time, take into account the day/night indication, as this is synchronised with

the hour and minute indications. For example, at midnight, the moon should appear at 6 o’clock,

while at midday the sun should appear at 6 o’clock.

It then starts to gradually disappear behind the second rounded cover on the right.

The perpetual calendar indicates the date, day and month, taking into account the different

lengths of the months in the Gregorian calendar, including leap years. Its "mechanical memory"

Please note that this type of mechanism cannot take non-standard common years into account

(years which are not leap years as they can be divided by 100 but not by 400, such as 2100).

- Die Krone und die Drücker Ihrer Uhr dürfen nicht im Wasser betätigt werden. Wenn Ihre Uhr

über eine Schraubkrone verfügt, achten Sie darauf, dass diese nie mit Wasser in Berührung

kommt, wenn sie aufgeschraubt ist;

- Vermeiden Sie es, Ihre Uhr Temperaturschocks oder extremen Temperaturen unter 0° oder

über 60° (Sauna, Hammam usw.) auszusetzen;

- Verwenden Sie keine ätzenden/chemischen Reinigungsmittel zum Säubern Ihrer Uhr;

bedienen. So kann mit ihrer Hilfe die Uhrzeit verstellt, das Uhrwerk manuell

aufgezogen und bei manchen Modellen der Wochentag oder das Datum

eingestellt werden.

A. Ziehen Sie die Krone heraus, um die verschiedenen Einstellungen

vorzunehmen.

Um die Wasserdichtheit Ihrer Uhr zu gewährleisten, denken Sie unbedingt

daran, die Krone nach der Benutzung in Position 0) zurückzudrücken.

Drücken Sie sie hierfür wie unten dargestellt gegen das Gehäuse.

3CHRAUBKRONE

Die Schraubkrone gewährleistet perfekte Wasserdichtheit bis zur Tiefe, für

die die Uhr ausgelegt ist.

A. Schrauben Sie die Krone heraus, um die verschiedenen Einstellungen

vorzunehmen. Drehen Sie sie hierfür entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn.

Um die Wasserdichtheit Ihrer Uhr zu gewährleisten, denken Sie unbedingt

daran, die Krone nach der Benutzung in Position 0) zurückzubringen.

Verschrauben Sie sie hierfür im Uhrzeigersinn und halten Sie sie

gleichzeitig wie unten dargestellt gegen das Gehäuse gedrückt.

Stellen Sie sich zwei Straßenmarkierungen A und B vor, die einen Kilometer voneinander entfernt

sind. Wenn nun ein Auto an der Markierung A vorbeifährt, setzen Sie Ihren Chronographen in

Gang; sobald das Auto die Markierung B erreicht, stoppen Sie ihn. Auf der außen am Zifferblatt

angebrachten Tachymeterskala können Sie nun über den Chronographen-Sekundenzeiger die

mittlere Geschwindigkeit in km/h oder m/h ablesen.
