Avvertenze Generali
• Dopo aver tolto l’imballaggio assicurarsi dell’integrità dell’apparecchio. In caso di dubbio
non utilizzare l’apparecchio e rivolgersi ai nostri centri assistenza. Gli elementi dell’imbal-
laggio (sacchetti in plastica, polistirolo espanso, chiodi, ecc.) non devono essere lasciati
alla portata dei bambini in quanto potenziali fonti di pericolo.
• Prima di collegare l’apparecchio accertarsi che i dati di targa siano rispondenti a quelli
della rete di distribuzione. La targa dati elettrici è applicata sul corpo del prodotto.
• Questo apparecchio dovrà essere destinato solo all’uso per il quale è stato espressamente
concepito, e cioé per il raffreddamento e la dissipazione del calore di apparecchiatura
assiemate di protezione e di manovra a bassa tensione.
Il costruttore non può essere considerato responsabile per eventuali danni derivati da usi
impropi, erronei ed irragionevoli.
• In caso di guasto e/o cattivo funzionamento dell’apparecchio, spegnerlo e non manomet-
terlo. Per l’eventuale riparazione rivolgersi solamente ad un centro di assistenza tecnica
autorizzato dal costruttore e richiedere l’utilizzo di ricambi originali. Il mancato rispetto di
quanto sopra può compromettere la sicurezza dell’apparecchio.
• Periodicamente, almeno 1 volta all’anno o più frequentemente per usi intensi, togliere
sporco ed incrostazioni dalla ventola e dall’involucro del motore, ed eventualmente pulire o
sostituire il filtro. É inoltre molto importante verificare che la ventola non presenti deforma-
zioni o incrinature, che giri in modo libero e senza oscillazioni, e che sia ben fissata
sull’albero.
• Allorchè si decida di non utilizzare più l’apparecchio, si raccomanda inoltre di rendere inno-
cue quelle parti dell’apparecchio suscettibili di costituire un pericolo, speciaslmente per i
bambini che potrebbero servirsi dell’apparecchio fuori uso, per propri giochi.
• L’installazione deve essere effettuata, secondo le istruzioni del costruttore, da personale
qualificato. Una errata installazione può causare danni a persone, animali o cose, nei con-
fronti dei quali il costruttore non può essere considerato responsabile.
General warnings
• Remove the packaging and make sure that the appliance is not damaged. If in doubt, do
not use the appliance and contact your local Gewiss service centre. The materials used for
packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren as these may be dangerous.
• Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the data on the ratings plate match your
mains supply. The ratings plate is fixed to the body of the product.
• This appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed, i.e., to cool
and disperse heat in the low voltage protection and switching equipment to which it is con-
nected.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage or injury arising from the improper,
incorrect or unreasonable use of this appliance.
• In the event of failure and/or malfunction, switch the appliance off and do not tamper with
it. Use only a Gewiss authorised service centre for repairs and always insist on the use of
original spare parts. Otherwise the safety of the appliance cannot be guaranteed.
• On a regular basis (at least once a year or more frequently if used intensively), clean the
fan and motor casing of any built-up dust and dirt and clean or replace the filter as neces-
sary. Equally important, check that the fan is not warped or cracked, that it turns freely
without wobbling and that it is securely fixed to its shaft.
• If the appliance is not to be used anymore, we recommend rendering any hazardous parts
harmless, especially those that may be dangerous if children use the fan as a toy.
