Avviso: Questo sistema di ritenuta per bambini è stato approvato ai sensi della
Normativa R 129 per l’uso da parte di bambini con altezza compresa fra i 100 e i 150
cm. Non lasciare il bambino incustodito all’interno del veicolo. Leggere attentamente e
integralmente le istruzioni, in caso contrario, la sicurezza del bambino potrebbe essere
compromessa. L’installazione errata del sistema di ritenuta per bambini può causare
gravi conseguenze per il bambino. In caso di errata installazione, il produttore non è in
alcun modo responsabile.

AVVISO IMPORTANTE
1. Questo è un sistema di ritenuta per bambini avanzato classicato come rialzo
“i-Size”. E’ omologato ai sensi del regolamento no. 129 per l’utilizzo all’interno di
veicoli su sedili “compatibili con i sistemi i-Size”, come indicato dal costruttore del
veicolo nel manuale dell’automobile. in caso di dubbi, consultare il produttore del
sistema di ritenuta per bambini o il rivenditore.
2. Open i-Size si installa in direzione di marcia con l’ancoraggio Isox in una vettura
equipaggiata di punti di ancoraggio Isox, in abbinamento alla cintura auto a 3
punti, approvata secondo il regolamento UN/ECE No. 16 o altro.
3. Qualora la vettura non sia dotata di ancoraggio Isox, Open i-Size può essere
installato in direzione di marcia con cintura auto a 3 punti, approvata secondo il
regolamento UN/ECE No. 16 o equivalente.
4. Open i-Size è omologato per bambini con altezza da 100 a 150 cm, in direzione di
marcia.
5. Quando utilizzato per bambini con altezza tra 135 cm e 150 cm Open i-Size
potrebbe non essere adatto in tutte le vetture, soprattutto nel caso di vetture con
tetto ribassato ai lati.

SACCHETTI DI PLASTICA E TUTTI GLI ELEMENTI FACENTI PARTE DELLA
CONFEZIONE DEL PRODOTTO O COMUNQUE TENERLI LONTANI DALLA
PORTATA DEI BAMBINI.
Questo dispositivo di ritenuta è conforme al Regolamento ECE R129/03, omologato
per bambini con altezza da 100 a 150 cm, in direzione di marcia.
• Non lasciare mai il bambino incustodito a bordo dell’auto.
• NON lasciare mai il bambino incustodito - la sicurezza del vostro bambino è vostra
responsabilità.
• L’installazione deve essere eseguita da una persona adulta. Evitare che qualcuno
utilizzi il prodotto senza aver letto le istruzioni.
• Leggere attentamente le istruzioni prima dell’uso e conservarle nell’apposita sede
per riutilizzarle in futuro.
• La mancata scrupolosa osservanza delle istruzioni di installazione del seggiolino
auto, potrebbe comportare rischi al vostro bambino.

• In caso di emergenza, è importante sganciare la bbia rapidamente per liberare il
bambino. La bbia è quindi di facile apertura e non deve essere coperta. Insegnate
al bambino a non giocare con la bbia.
• Non collocare sotto il seggiolino, tra il sedile e il seggiolino dei tessuti (per esempio
un asciugamano o un cuscino) in quanto in caso di incidente potrebbe inuire sulla
sicurezza del prodotto.
• Non utilizzare spessori, ad es. cuscini o coperte, per rialzare dal sedile del veicolo il
seggiolino o per rialzare il bambino dal seggiolino: in caso di incidente il seggiolino
potrebbe non funzionare correttamente.
• Assicurarsi di immobilizzare oggetti mobili, come bagagli o libri all’interno del
veicolo. Possono provocare lesioni/ferite in caso di incidente.
• Non appoggiare bagagli sulla cappelliera senza assicurarli: in caso di incidente
potrebbero arrecare gravi danni ai passeggeri.
• Qualsiasi alterazione o modica al dispositivo, senza previa autorizzazione da
parte dell’Autorità di Omologazione, così come un utilizzo improprio dello stesso,
potrebbe causare pericoli.
• Non effettuare modiche o aggiunte al seggiolino auto senza l’approvazione del
costruttore.
• Non installare su questo Seggiolino accessori, parti di ricambio o componenti non
forniti e approvati dal costruttore.
• Ogni paese prevede leggi e regolamenti diversi in materia di sicurezza per il
trasporto dei bambini in auto. Per questo è consigliabile contattare le autorità locali
per avere maggiori informazioni.
• Non eliminare le etichette e i marchi dalla fodera del seggiolino, in quanto questa
operazione potrebbe danneggiare la fodera stessa.
• Il prodotto è destinato esclusivamente a un uso come seggiolino per auto e non è
destinato all’utilizzo in casa.
• La società FOPPAPEDRETTI declina ogni responsabilità per un uso improprio del
prodotto e per qualsiasi uso difforme dalle presenti istruzioni.
• Non lasciare che altri bambini giochino con componenti e parti del seggiolino.
• Non trasportare più di un bambino alla volta sul seggiolino.
• Vericare che i sedili del veicolo (pieghevoli, ribaltabili o rotanti) siano ben agganciati.
• ATTENZIONE! Nelle operazioni di regolazione (del poggiatesta e dello schienale)
assicurarsi che le parti mobili del seggiolino non vengano a contatto con il corpo
del bambino.
• VERIFICARE IL MANUALE D’ISTRUZIONI DEL PROPRIO VEICOLO PER ACCERTARSI
CHE I SEGGIOLINI DI SICUREZZA PER BAMBINI DI CATEGORIA ISOFIX B2 SIANO
ADATTI AL PROPRIO VEICOLO.
• UTILIZZARE LE GUIDE ISOFIX IN PLASTICA FORNITE IN DOTAZIONE QUANDO
NECESSARIO. FOPPAPEDRETTI NON PUO’ ESSERE RITENUTA RESPONSABILE
PER DANNI O SEGNI SULLA TAPEZZERIA DEL SEDILE DEL VEICOLO.

CINTURA DI SICUREZZA
• Non utilizzare MAI punti di ancoraggio diversi da quelli descritti nelle istruzioni e
contrassegnati di rosso sul prodotto.
• Vericare che le bretelle non siano attorcigliate e siano regolate correttamente in
base alla corporatura del bambino.
• È fondamentale accertarsi che la cintura addominale sia posizionata il più in basso
possibile, afnché i anchi siano assicurati in modo corretto in caso di sollecitazioni.
• Assicuratevi che tutti i passeggeri indossino le cinture di sicurezza, in caso di
incidente una persona priva della cintura di sicurezza, causa l’impatto, potrebbe
urtare il seggiolino.
• Dare il buon esempio in prima persona e indossare sempre la cintura di sicurezza.
• Non utilizzare un sistema passaggio cinture diverso rispetto a quello indicato nel
manuale.
• Il bambino deve sempre essere assicurato quando collocato nel seggiolino,
anche per viaggi brevi. Vericare sempre che la cintura del veicolo sia allacciata
correttamente e non attorcigliata.
• Raccomandare al bambino di non giocare mai con la bbia della cintura. Controllare
periodicamente che il bambino non apra la bbia di aggancio della cintura di
sicurezza e che non maneggi il seggiolino o parti di esso
ESPOSIZIONE ALLA LUCE SOLARE / GIORNI CALDI
• Non lasciare MAI il bambino collocato nel seggiolino, mentre l’auto è parcheggiata,
in particolare se esposta alla luce diretta del sole o in una giornata calda.
• Non lasciare MAI il seggiolino auto esposto al sole per ore, in quanto questo
potrebbe essere pericoloso per il vostro bambino, le parti in metallo e le parti in
plastica potrebbero scaldarsi. Il tessuto potrebbe sbiadirsi. Coprire con un telo il
seggiolino se l’auto è parcheggiata al sole.
SEGGIOLINO DI SECONDA MANO o SEGGIOLINI DANNEGGIATI
• Non acquistare MAI un seggiolino auto già utilizzato di seconda mano. Potrebbe
avere danni o rotture interne non visibile.
• La garanzia del produttore è esclusivamente per il primo utilizzo del prodotto e
legata al proprietario del primo acquisto.
• E’ necessario sostituire il seggiolino auto, le cinture di sicurezza del veicolo, se
danneggiate o usurate dall’utilizzo.
• È necessario sostituire il seggiolino per auto qualora abbia subito una violenta
sollecitazione, a causa di un incidente che potrebbe aver provocato una rottura
interna non visibile, o in caso di usura. Il prodotto potrebbe presentare danni interni
non visibili che potrebbero compromettere la sicurezza del bambino.

Si raccomanda di utilizzare il seggiolino auto con i connettori ISOFIX se il veicolo
è equipaggiato di aggancio ISOFIX.

1. Utilizzare il seggiolino auto esclusivamente nella direzione di marcia. Non è
consigliato collocare il seggiolino auto sul sedile del passeggero anteriore.
2. Può essere installato solo se i veicoli ritenti idonei sono dotati di cinture di sicurezza a
3 punti, omologate ai sensi del regolamento UN/ ECE n. 16 o altre norme equivalenti.
3. Non utilizzare in nessun caso con una cintura di sicurezza a 2 punti.
Vericare di aver agganciato correttamente la cintura di sicurezza a 3 punti del veicolo.
Vericare che entrambi i connettori ISOFIX siano correttamente agganciati ai punti di
ancoraggio e che i rispettivi indicatori siano entrambi verdi.
ATTENZIONE! In caso di utilizzo in veicoli dotati di cinture di sicurezza posteriori con
airbag integrati (cinture gonabili), seguire il manuale istruzioni del produttore dell’auto.
Se la cintura di sicurezza dell’auto è troppo lunga può causare un posizionamento non
corretto della bbia della cintura di sicurezza. Assicurarsi che la bbia della cintura
di sicurezza non poggi sulla guida della cintura addominale (2). In questo caso il
seggiolino auto non deve essere installato sul quel sedile ma dovrà essere installato su
un altro sedile su cui non si presenti il problema. In caso di tale problema contattare la
casa produttrice dell’auto per avere ulteriori informazioni.

• Il Seggiolino può essere installato sul sedile anteriore lato passeggero o su qualsiasi
dei sedili posteriori e deve sempre essere posizionato in senso di marcia.
• Non utilizzare mai questo seggiolino su sedili rivolti lateralmente o opposti al senso
di marcia
• ATTENZIONE! Si consiglia di installare il seggiolino auto sui sedili posteriori perché in
base alle statistiche sugli incidenti, sono ritenuti più sicuri. Si consiglia di posizionare
il seggiolino auto sul sedile posteriore centrale, se dotato di cintura di sicurezza a
3 punti.
• Se il Seggiolino viene posizionato sul sedile anteriore, per maggiore sicurezza si
raccomanda di arretrare il più possibile il sedile compatibilmente con la presenza di
altri passeggeri sul sedile posteriore e di regolarne lo schienale nella posizione più
verticale possibile. Se l’auto è dotata di regolatore dell’altezza della cintura ssare
questo nella posizione più bassa. Vericare che il regolatore della cintura risulti in
posizione arretrata (o al massimo allineata) allo schienale del sedile dell’auto.
• Si sconsiglia di installare il seggiolino auto sul sedile anteriore se dotato di AIRBAG
frontale attivo. Nel caso di installazione su un qualunque sedile protetto da airbag
fare sempre riferimento al manuale di istruzioni dell’auto.
A. MONTAGGIO SEGGIOLINO AUTO
Sollevare lo schienale nella posizione verticale, un clack indicherà il corretto aggancio.
Prima dell’utilizzo vericare che lo schienale sia bloccato nella posizione verticale,
spingendolo in avanti non deve ripiegarsi.
1. REGOLAZIONE DEL POGGIATESTA
La corretta regolazione del poggiatesta garantisce che la cintura pettorale sia collocata
in posizione ottimale rispetto al corpo, garantendo la massima protezione per il vostro
bambino seduto sul seggiolino auto.
Il poggiatesta deve essere regolato in modo che vi sia un interstizio di due dita tra lo
stesso e le spalle del bambino.
Per regolare l’altezza del poggiatesta in base a quella del bambino:
1. Afferrare la maniglia di regolazione posta sulla parte posteriore del poggiatesta e
tirarla verso l’alto per sbloccarlo. (1A-1B)
2. È ora possibile regolare il poggiatesta posizionandolo all’altezza desiderata. Non
appena si lascia la maniglia, il poggiatesta verrà bloccato nella posizione raggiunta.
(1C)
3. Posizionare il seggiolino per bambini sul sedile dell’auto. Collocare il bambino nel
seggiolino auto e vericare l’altezza del poggiatesta. Ripetere la procedura no al
raggiungimento dell’altezza desiderata. (1D).

4. COME ASSICURARE IL BAMBINO
Prima di collocare il bambino nel seggiolino auto, assicurarsi che il poggiatesta sia
regolato correttamente ( ). cf. paragrafo 1
Consultare il manuale del veicolo per vericare che la vostra vettura sia dotata degli
ancoraggi ISOFIX inferiori; scegliere la modalità di installazione a bordo del veicolo, e
vericare che le indicazioni di cui al paragrafo 2 o 3 siano state seguite correttamente.
1. Collocare il bambino in posizione seduta nel seggiolino. Estrarre la cintura di
sicurezza del veicolo e farla passare davanti al bambino, facendola scorrere no alla
bbia. Allacciarla no ad udire un “click” (4A).
2. Far passare la cintura addominale e un’estremità di quella pettorale nelle guide delle
cinture poste sotto entrambi i braccioli (4B).
3. Inserire la porzione diagonale della cintura pettorale nella guida posta sotto al
poggiatesta (4C1, 4C2).
4. Far rientrare nel riavvolgitore la parte non tensionata (4D). Tirare la parte diagonale
della cintura auto verso l’alto, in modo che tutta la cintura risulti tesa e ben aderente
al torace e alle gambe del bambino, senza stringere troppo la cintura (g.4E).
5. Per togliere il bambino dal seggiolino auto è sufciente sganciare la bbia della
cintura dell’auto, accompagnando la cintura durante l’arrotolamento.
Veriche da effettuare prima di partire:
• Assicurarsi che la sezione della cintura pettorale passi al di sopra delle spalle del
bambino e non davanti al collo (4E).
• La cintura pettorale deve passare nella guida posta sotto al poggiatesta (4E1).
• Il poggiatesta deve essere regolato in modo che vi sia un interstizio di due dita tra lo
stesso e le spalle del bambino (4E2).
• La cintura addominale deve essere posizionata il più in basso possibile in
corrispondenza dei anchi su entrambi i lati (4E3).
• Assicurarsi che la cintura non sia attorcigliata.
5. RIPIEGARE IL SEGGIOLINO AUTO PER RIPORLO NEL BAGAGLIAIO DEL
VEICOLO
Sollevare il poggiatesta alla massima altezza (5A)
Tirare la cinghia sul retro dello schienale e mantenendola tirata (5B1), ripiegare in avanti
lo schienale (5B2).
Un “click” indicherà lo sgancio schienale consentendo di ripiegarlo sulla seduta (5C).
6. RIMOZIONE RIVESTIMENTO
Rimozione rivestimento
Sganciare i bottoni automatici e rimuovere il dal seggiolino auto, vedere (6A-6F).
Riposizionamento del rivestimento
Per posizionare il rivestimento, seguire le istruzioni di cui sopra in ordine inverso.
Prima dell’uso assicurarsi che il tessuto sia posizionato correttamente sul seggiolino
auto.

GARANZIA CONVENZIONALE
Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. con sede inGrumello
del Monte (Italia) Via Volta 11, garantisce
direttamente al Consumatore che questo
Prodotto, nuovo di fabbrica, è privo di
difetti nei materiali, nella progettazione
e nella fabbricazione ed conforme alle
caratteristiche dalla stessa dichiarate.
La presente garanzia convenzionale è valida
in tutti i Paesi Stati membri dell’Unione
Europea e non esclude né limita i diritti del
Consumatore ai sensi di norme imperative
di legge nei confronti del Venditore del
Prodotto.
Per usufruire della presente garanzia
convenzionale il Consumatore dovrà
riportare il Prodotto difettoso al
Venditore, presentandogli la prova
d’acquisto del Prodotto dalla quale risultino
in modo leggibile l’indirizzo del Venditore,
la data d’acquisto del Prodotto col timbro
e rma del Venditore e l’indicazione
del Prodotto stesso o, in alternativa, lo
scontrino scale, non modicato, dal quale
risultino in modo chiaro le medesime
informazioni.
La garanzia convenzionale ha validità per
Dodici (12) mesi dalla data di acquisto del
Prodotto. Durante questo periodo Foppa
Pedretti S.p.A. riparerà o sostituirà, a sua
discrezione, il Prodotto difettoso.
La garanzia convenzionale è concessa
all’acquirente nale del Prodotto
(Consumatore) e non esclude né
limita i diritti imperativi del medesimo
Consumatore, quali previsti dalla legge
e/o i diritti che il Consumatore può
vantare contro il Venditore/Rivenditore del
Prodotto.
ESCLUSIONI DELLA GARANZIA
CONVENZIONALE.
La garanzia convenzionale è esclusa per
i danni derivati al Prodotto dalle seguenti
cause: uso non conforme alle disposizioni
contenute nel foglio d’istruzioni all’uso ed
al montaggio, urti e cadute, esposizione del
Prodotto ad umidità o condizioni termiche
o ambientali estreme od a cambiamenti
repentini di tali condizioni, corrosione,
ossidazione, modiche o riparazioni non
autorizzate del Prodotto, riparazioni con
uso di parti di ricambio non autorizzate, uso
improprio, cattiva mancata manutenzione,
manutenzione impropria rispetto a quanto
indicato nel foglio d’istruzioni all’uso e
al montaggio, montaggio non corretto,
incidenti, azioni di cibi o bevande, azione
di prodotti chimici, cause di forza maggiore.
In ogni caso Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declina
ogni responsabilità per danni a persone
o a cose, diversi dal Prodotto, quando
tali danni siano causati da negligenza
alle disposizioni / raccomandazioni /
avvertenze contenute nel manuale o,
in alternativa, nels “Foglio d’istruzioni
all’uso e al Montaggio” che accompagna
ogni Prodotto destinato al proprietario/
utilizzatore. (come a titolo meramente
esemplicativo, nel caso del Prodotto
Lettino: “Sorvegliate costantemente
il bambino. Controllate che lenzuola
e coperte non coprano la testa del
bambino…”).
Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declina, inoltre,
ogni responsabilità per danni a persone
o a cose quando la rottura dei suoi
prodotti è causata dal deterioramento
dei componenti del Prodotto, soggetti
ad usura. Sono considerati componenti del
Prodotto soggetti a usura tutti i componenti
in materiale plastico.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
1. This is an advanced restraint system for children classied as an “i-Size” booster
seat. It is approved under the R129 standard for use in vehicles on seats “compatible

BEFORE STARTING

using is locked in the upright position.
• WARNING: Do not use the child car seat in the home - it has only been designed to
be used in the car.
• WARNING: Do not leave loose/unsecured objects on the back seat of your car or
the parcel shelf. They may be dangerous to your child if you are forced to brake
suddenly.
WHEN USING THE CHILD CAR SEAT
• WARNING: Make sure that the child car seat is placed somewhere so that rigid items
and plastic parts do not become trapped in doors or movable seat units when the
seat is in everyday use.
• WARNING: Always use the vehicle’s door child safety lock system, if one is available,
to make it impossible for the child to open the car doors from inside.
• WARNING: Allow the child a break during long car journeys and make sure they
don’t get out of the car seat unaided and without supervision.
• Do not leave your child unsupervised in a child restraint device.
• The car seat must only be installed on the passenger seats
• WARNING: The child car seat must be tted securely to the passenger seat. Ensure
that it is not loose or wobbly after you have tted it. If it is loose, ret it.
• WARNING: Ensure that the child car seat is secured to the car seat at all times even
when not in use.
• Attach the car seat using ISOFIX connectors or a seat belt even when not in use.
• Do not use the child restraint device without the cover.
• WARNING: The seat cover should not be replaced with any other than the one
recommended by the manufacturer, because the cover constitutes an integral part
of the restraint performance.
• WARNING: Stop the car at regular intervals to check that the child car seat is in the
correct position and that both the car seatbelt AND the child car seat harness (if
required) are still fastened and latched.
• WARNING: In the event of an emergency it is important to be able to release the
child quickly (as dened by British Standards). This means that seat buckle cannot be
fully tamper proof and you should actively discourage your child from playing with
or using the buckle.
• WARNING: Do not place anything under the child car seat (e.g. a towel or cushion)
as this could affect the performance of the seat in an accident.
• Do not use cushions, blankets or similar to raise the car seat or the child: the car seat
may not function correctly in case of an accident.
• WARNING: Avoid winter clothing bundling Bulky clothing can lead to incorrect
harness tightening. In an accident, the child can slip right out of the extra padding -
and thus out of the seat. Let the car warm up or cool down prior to placing your child
in there if possible. If your child is cold, place a blanket over the top of the harness.

SEAT BELT
• WARNING: NEVER use any load bearing contact points other than those described
in these instructions or marked on the child car seat.
• Restraining the child should be adjusted to the child’s body, and should not be
twisted. It is important to ensure that any lap strap is worn low down, so that the
pelvis is rmly engaged, shall be stressed.
• WARNING: Make sure that ALL the passengers in your vehicle have their seatbelts
fastened, as unrestrained people can be very dangerous to the child in an accident.
• Set a good example yuorself and always wear your seat belt.
• WARNING: NEVER use a seatbelt routing scheme that differs from these instructions.
• WARNING: The lap and diagonal seatbelt must be used at all times when your child
is in the child car seat.
• WARNING: Make sure that there are no twists in the seatbelt.
• WARNING: Do not place luggage on the parcel shelf without securing it: in the event
of an accident it could cause serious damage to passengers.

• Tell your child that he/she should be never play with the belt buckle. Check
periodically that the child cannot open the seat belt buckle or manipulate the seat
or parts of the seat.
SUNLIGHT/HOT DAYS
• WARNING: Do not leave your child in the child car seat while parked in direct
sunlight or on a hot day.
• WARNING: Do not subject the child car seat to prolonged direct sunlight as this may
be dangerous for your child (the metal and plastic ttings could become hot) and
may cause the fabric to fade. You can reduce this problem by covering the child car
seat with a sheet when not in use.
SECOND HAND OR DAMAGED CHILD CAR SEATS AND SEATBELTS
• WARNING: Never buy a second hand child car seat. It may have unseen damage.
• WARNING: The manufacturer only guarantees this product when the original owner
uses it.
• WARNING: You MUST replace the child car seat and your vehicles seatbelts if they
become badly worn or amaged.
• WARNING: You MUST replace the child car seat if it is involved in an accident it
may have unseen damage and may not protect your child as well as it should. At
the very least send the child car seat to your retailer for inspection, together with
the accident report. The product may have internal damage that is not visible which
could compromise the child’s safety.

USE IN THE VEHICLE
LIMITATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR USE OF THE CAR SEAT AND THE
VEHICLE SEAT
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This is an advanced restraint system for children classied as an “i-Size” booster seat.
It is approved under the R129 standard for use in vehicles on seats “compatible with
i-Size systems”, as indicated in the car manual by the vehicle manufacturer.
If in doubt, contact the manufacturer of the child restraint system or the retailer.
This restraint system for children is classied for “i-Size & Specic Vehicle” use and is
suitable for installation on the seats in the positions indicated:
WARNING! The following limitations and requirements for use relating to the car seat
and the vehicle seat must be strictly followed, otherwise safety is not guaranteed. The
child must be from 100 to 150 cm tall.
The child seat is approved for 2 different methods of installations:
A. With vehicle’s 3-point safety belt
B. With vehicle’s 3-point safety belt in combination with smart x connectors locking
into vehicle’s ISOFIX lower anchorages.
It is recommended to use the car seat with ISOFIX connectors if the vehicle is equipped
with ISOFIX anchorage.

IMPORTANT:
1. Only use the car seat in the direction of travel. Positioning the car seat on the front
passenger seat is not recommended.
2. This car seat can only be installed if the suitable vehicles are equipped with 3-point
safety belts, approved under UN/ECE R16 or other equivalent standards.
3. Do not use with a two-point safety belt under any circumstances.
• Ensure that you have correctly attached the vehicle’s three-point safety belt.
• Check that both ISOFIX connectors are properly attached to the anchorage points.
Both Smart Fix indicators are green
WARNING! When used in vehicles equipped with rear seat belts with integrated airbags
(inatable belts), follow the car manufacturer’s instruction manual.
If the seat belt is too long, the seat belt buckle may be positioned incorrectly . Make
sure the safety buckle is not rested on the lap belt guide (2). In this case, the car seat
must be installed on a different seat where this is not an issue. Should this problem
occur, contact the car manufacturer for further information.
• The car seat can be installed on the front passenger seat or on any of the rear seats
and must always be positioned facing forward.
• Never use this seat on side-facing seats or in the opposite direction of travel.
• WARNING! It is recommended to install the car seat on the rear seats because,
based on accident statistics, they are considered safer.

• It is recommended to place the car seat in the centre rear seat if equipped with a
three-point safety belt.
• If the car seat is positioned on the front seat, for greater safety, it is recommended to
move the vehicle seat back as far as possible, if feasible with the presence of other
passengers in the rear seat and to adjust the backrest to the most upright position.
• If the car is equipped with a seat belt height adjuster, x this at the lowest position.
• Ensure that the seat belt adjuster is in the rear position (or most aligned) with the
vehicle seat backrest.
• It is not recommended to install the car seat on the front seat if equipped with an
active front AIRBAG.
• In the case of installation on any seat protected by an airbag, always refer to the car
instruction manual.
CAR SEAT ASSEMBLY
Raise the backrest to the vertical position, a clack will indicate correct attachment.
Before use, check that the backrest is locked in the vertical position, it must not fold
down when pushed forward.
1. ADJUSTING THE HEADREST
A correctly adjusted headrest ensures that the diagonal seat belt section is optimally
positioned, and gives your child the optimal protection.
The headrest must be adjusted so that there is a space two ngers wide between the
headrest and your child’s shoulders.
To adjuste the height of the headrest to t your child:
1. Reach into the adjustment handle on the back of the headrest and pull it upwards.
This unlocks the headrest (1A-1B).
2. You can now move the unlocked headrest to the desired height. As soon as you
release the adjustment handle, the headrest will lock into place (1C).
3. Place the child seat on the vehicle seat. Have your child sit down in the child seat and
check the height. Repeat this process until the headrest is at the optimal height (1D).
2. INSTALLATION WITH 3-POINT SAFETY BELT IN COMBINATION WITH ISOFIX
CONNECTORS
Please read the instructions on the use of child restraint systems described in your
vehicle owner’s manual. Find the ISOFIX anchorage points in the vehicle seat.
Tips: the ISOFIX anchorage points are located between the surface and the backrest
of the vehicle seat.
Insert two Smart Fix guides to the ISOFIX lower anchorages respectively (2A) ISOFIX
guides make it easier to install using the Smart Fix connectors and prevent damage to
the upholstery.
1. Remove the vehicle seat headrest if it prevents you from adjusting the car seat
headrest to the desired height (2B, 2C).

2. Press lever “A” and at the same time fully extend the ISOFIX connector. Repeat this
for both car seat connectors (2C).
3. Line up the Smart Fix connectors with the ISOFIX guides. Attach the two Smart Fix
connectors to the two anchorages points on the vehicle seat respectively. You will
hear two sounds of “clicks”. And check the ISOFIX indicator on each side turns to
green (2D).
4. Push the car seat as far back as possible (2E). Make sure the back of child seat is
against the backrest of vehicle seat rmly (2F).
5. Follow the steps in section “4. Securing your child” to nish the installation.
Unfastening your child seat
To unfastening your child seat,please pull the Smart x release buttons on both sides.
3. INSTALLATION WITH 3-POINT SAFETY BELT
1. Please make sure that the both smart x connectors are stowed in its original position
(the most inside position). If not, please pull&hold the smart x adjustment button,
meantime push back the smart x arms back into the seat base. Repeat the above,
to pull back the arm in the other side (3A).
2. Place the child seat on the vehicle seat, make sure the backrest of child seat is ush

is ush with backrest of the vehicle seat. Tips: if the headrest of the vehicle seat gets
in the way, please remove it or turn it in other way (3B).
3. Follow the steps in section “4. Securing your child” to nish the installation.
4. SECURING YOUR CHILD
Before securing your child in the child seat, please make sure the headrest is adjusted
to the correct position ( ). see section 1
Check your vehicle’s manual to see if your vehicle is equipped with ISOFIX lower
anchorages; choose one method of installation in the vehicle, either section 2 or 3 was
followed correctly.
1. Have your child sit down in the child seat. Pull out the safety belt and guide it to in
front of your child to the seat buckle. Buckle it up with an audible “click” (4A).
2. Guide the lap belt and one end of diagonal belt to the belt guides under the both
armrests (4B).
3. Insert the diagonal portion of the chest belt into the guide under the headrest (4C1,
4C2).
4. Remove all the slackness of safety belts to the retractor (4D). Pull the diagonal part of
the car belt upwards, so that the entire belt is taut and snug against the child’s chest
and legs, without tightening the belt excessively (g.4E).
5. To remove the child from the car seat, simply unclasp the seat belt buckle,
accompanying the belt as it rolls up.
Checklist before you go:
• The diagonal belt must run over in the middle of your child’s shoulder, not in his or
her neck (4E).
• The chest belt must pass through the guide placed under the headrest (4E1).

• The headrest must be positioned so that there is a gap of two ngers between it and
the child’s shoulders (4E2).
• The lap belt must lie as low as possible on your child’s pelvis on both sides (4E3).
• No parts of belt should be twisted.
5. FOLD THE CAR SEAT TO STORE IN THE BOOT OF THE VEHICLE
Raise the headrest to the maximum height (5A).
Pull the strap on the back of the backrest vertically and keeping it pulled (5B1), fold the
backrest forward (5B2).
A clack will indicate the release of the backrest allowing it to be folded back onto the
seat (5C).
6. REMOVING THE COVER
Removing the cover
Unclasp the press studs and remove the cover from the car seat, see (6A-6F).
Replacing the cover
To replace the cover, follow the instructions above in reverse order.
Before use, make sure that the cover is correctly positioned on the car seat.
CLEANING
The lining can be removed and washed in a washing machine with a mild detergent,
using the delicate fabric cycle (30°C).
Follow the washing instructions shown on the label.
The colours may fade if washed at temperatures above 30°C.
Never spin dry or tumble dry (as the fabric could become detached from the padding).
The plastic parts may be cleaned with water and soap. Do not use harsh detergents
(such as solvents).
IMPORTANT: The lining is a fundamental component for your child’s safety. Never use
the car seat without the lining, nor replace it with other products which have not been
approved, so as to avoid endangering the child’s safety or compromising the proper
functioning of the device.
It is recommended to use only the original covers, as these components are of
fundamental importance for the correct functioning of the device.
Do not expose the lining to sunlight for prolonged periods; when the car seat is not in
use, cover it or place it in the boot.

FORMAL GUARANTEE
Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. the head office of
which is located at n. 11 Via Volta, Grumello
del Monte (Italy), guarantees directly to the
Consumer that this brand new product is free
of faults with regard to the materials, design
and manufacture and that it complies with the
characteristics as declared by the
manufacturer.
This formal guarantee is valid in all Member
Countries of the European Union and it
neither excludes nor limits the Consumer’s
rights in accordance with mandatory measures
provided for by the law with regard to the
Retailer of the Product.
To take advantage of this formal guarantee,
the Consumer must return the faulty product
to the Retailer, presenting to the same the
proof of purchase of the Product which must
clearly show the Retailer’s address, the date
of purchase of the Product with the Retailer’s
stamp and signature and an indication of the
Product itself or, alternatively, the receipt
which must not have been altered and which
must clearly show the same information as
that referred to above.
The manufacturer’s formal guarantee is valid
for twelve (12) months from the date of
purchase of the Product. During this period,
Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. will repair or replace the
faulty product, at its own discretion.
The formal guarantee is granted to the end
buyer of the Product (Consumer) and it neither
excludes nor limits the mandatory rights of the
Consumer as provided for by the law and/or
the rights that the Consumer may have with
regard to the Dealer/Retailer of the Product.
EXCLUSIONS TO THE FORMAL
GUARANTEE.
The formal guarantee is excluded in the case
of damage caused to the Product for the
following reasons: if the product is used in a
way that does not comply with the information
contained in the use and assembly instruction
sheet, if the product is knocked or dropped, if
the Product is exposed to humidity or extreme
heat or environmental conditions, or to sudden
changes in the same, corrosion, oxidization,
unauthorized alterations or repairs to the
Product, repairs using unauthorised spare
parts, improper use, improper maintenance
or failure to carry out the same, improper
maintenance compared to the information
given on the use and assembly instruction
sheet, incorrect assembly, accidents, damage
caused by food or drink, damage caused by
chemical products, cases of force majeure.
In any case, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declines all
responsibility for damage caused to persons
or to property, other than the Product, when
such damage is caused by a failure to comply
with the instructions/advice/warnings cont
a ined in the manua l or, alternatively, in the
use and assembly instruction sheet provided
with each Product for the owner/user. (Purely
as an example, in the case of a cot : “Check
your baby constantly. Make sure that the
sheets and blankets do not cover the baby’s
head…”).
Furthermore, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declines
all responsibility for damage to persons
and to property when the breakage of
its products is due to a deterioration in
the components of the Product that are
subject to wear. All the components of the
Product made of plastic are considered to be
components subject to wear.

4. Open i-Size est homologué pour des enfants d’une hauteur comprise entre 100 et
150 cm, dans le sens de la marche.
5. Lorsqu’il est utilisé pour des enfants d’une hauteur entre 135 et 150 cm, Open i-Size
pourrait ne pas être adapté dans toutes les voitures, surtout en cas de véhicules avec
un toit rabaissé sur les côtés.

• AVERTISSEMENT : Ne pas remplacer la housse par une autre que celle qui est
recommandée par le fabricant, étant donné que cela aurait un impact direct sur le
fonctionnement du dispositif de retenue.
• IMPORTANT : Pendant les longs trajets, faire des arrêts à intervalles réguliers et
vérier que le siège-auto est correctement installé et que les ceintures ne se sont
pas détachées.
• AVERTISSEMENT : En cas d’urgence, il est important de détacher rapidement la
boucle pour libérer l’enfant. La boucle est donc facile à ouvrir et ne doit pas être
recouverte. Apprendre à l’enfant à ne pas jouer avec la boucle.

le siège-auto sur le siège du véhicule ou pour rehausser l’enfant dans le siège-auto :

• AVERTISSEMENT : En hiver, veiller à ne pas installer l’enfant dans le siège-auto avec
des vêtements trop volumineux. Des vêtements surdimensionnés peuvent entraîner
un mauvais réglage des bretelles. En cas d’accident, les bretelles pourraient ne
pas retenir correctement l’enfant. Si nécessaire, chauffer l’habitacle ou utiliser une
couverture, à placer sur le harnais, pour réchauffer l’enfant.

sécurité pour le transport des enfants en voiture. Pour cette raison, il est conseillé de
contacter les autorités locales pour obtenir de plus amples informations.
• Ne pas éliminer les étiquettes et les marques de la housse du siège-auto, dans la
mesure où cette opération pourrait l’endommager.
• Le produit est exclusivement destiné à être utilisé comme siège-auto et non pas à
être employé à la maison.

CEINTURE DE SÉCURITÉ
• AVERTISSEMENT: Utiliser uniquement les points d’ancrage mentionnés dans ce
manuel et indiqués visuellement sur le dispositif de retenue.
• Vériez que les bretelles ne soient pas vrillées et qu’elles soient réglées correctement
en fonction de la taille de l’enfant. Il est très important de s’assurer que la sangle
abdominale soit positionnée aussi bas que possible, an que le bassin soit
correctement maintenu en cas de sollicitations.
• AVERTISSEMENT: S’assurer que tous les passagers de la voiture utilisent leur
ceinture de sécurité, tant pour se protéger que pour éviter de blesser l’enfant durant
le voyage, en cas de freinages brusques ou accidents.
• L’adulte doit donner le bon exemple et toujours porter sa ceinture de sécurité.
• AVERTISSEMENT: Il est interdit d’utiliser des points d’ancrage autres que ceux
reportés dans ce manuel d’instructions et indiqués sur le système de retenue pour
enfants.
• AVERTISSEMENT : Quand il est installé dans le siège-auto, l’enfant doit toujours être
xé, même pour de courts trajets. Toujours vérier que la ceinture du véhicule est
bien attachée et pas enroulée.
• Recommander à l’enfant de ne jamais jouer avec la boucle de la ceinture. Vérier
régulièrement que l’enfant n’ouvre pas la boucle d’accrochage de la ceinture de
sécurité et qu’il ne manipule pas le siège-auto ou certaines de ses pièces.
EXPOSITION À LA LUMIÈRE DU SOLEIL / JOURS CHAUDS
• AVERTISSEMENT : Ne JAMAIS laisser l’enfant installé dans le siège-auto quand le
véhicule est garé, en particulier s’il est exposé à la lumière directe du soleil ou par
une journée chaude.
• AVERTISSEMENT : Ne JAMAIS laisser le siège-auto exposé au soleil pendant des
heures, dans la mesure où il pourrait être dangereux pour votre enfant. Les pièces en
métal et en plastique peuvent devenir brûlantes. Le tissu peut se décolorer. Couvrir
le siège-auto avec une serviette si le véhicule est garé au soleil.

UTILISATION À BORD DU VÉHICULE
LIMITES ET CRITÈRES D’UTILISATION RELATIFS AU SIÈGE-AUTO ET AU SIÈGE DE
LA VOITURE
AVIS IMPORTANT
Il s’agit d’un système de retenue pour enfants avancé, classé comme rehausseur
« i-Size ». Il est homologué aux termes de la réglementation n° 129 pour l’utilisation
dans des véhicules, sur des sièges « compatibles avec les systèmes i-Size », comme
l’indique le constructeur du véhicule dans le manuel de l’automobile. En cas de doutes,
contacter le fabricant du système de retenue pour enfants ou le revendeur.
Ce système de retenue pour enfants est classé pour l’utilisation « i-Size & Specic
Vehicle » et il est adapté pour l’installation sur les sièges dans les positions indiquées :
ATTENTION ! Respecter à la lettre les limites et les critères d’utilisation suivants relatifs
au siège-auto et au siège de la voiture : dans le cas contraire, la sécurité n’est pas
garantie. La hauteur de l’enfant doit être comprise entre 100 et 150 cm.
Le siège-auto a été homologué pour être installé de deux manières différentes:
A. Avec la ceinture de sécurité à 3 points
B. Avec la ceinture de sécurité à 3 points et les connecteurs Smart Fix à accrocher aux
points d’ancrage inférieurs ISOFIX présents à bord du véhicule.
Il est recommandé d’utiliser le siège-auto avec les connecteurs ISOFIX, si le véhicule est
équipé d’un accrochage ISOFIX.
