Retain it for future reference.
Record model number and serial
number of the set.
See the label aached on the set
and quote this informaon to your
dealer when you require service.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this appliance, basic precauons should always be followed, including the
following:
1. Read all instrucons before using .
2. Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquids.
3. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or aer the appliance
malfuncons, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer
or the nearest authorized service agent for examinaon, repair or electrical or mechanical
adjustment.
4. Do not let the power cord hang over edge of table or counter or hot surface.
5. To disconnect the plug from wall outlet, grasp the plug and not the cord.
6. Do not leave the appliance unaended while it is operang.
7. Always use the appliance on a at, stable and heat resistant surface.
8. While operang the appliance, do not touch the product body.
9. Note: Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted into the toaster
as they may cause re, burnt or electrical shock.
10. Place the appliance away from curtains, and other combusble material.
11. Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that ELBA does not
specically recommend.
12. Do not aempt to dislodge food when toaster is in operaon.
13. Do not use the toaster without its crumb tray in place. The crumb tray should be cleaned
regularly.
14. Be careful when removing the bread from the toaster to avoid injuries.
15. This appliance is not intended for used by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilies, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of the appliances by a person
responsible for their safety.
16. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
17. Unplug the plug from wall outlet when not in use, before pung on or taking o parts
and before cleaning.
18. This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet
in your house is well earthed.
19. The product has been designed for domesc and household use only. Any commercial use,
inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instrucons, the manufacturer accepts no
responsibility and the warranty will not apply.
20. Don’t use the appliance outdoors.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
As there is residue or oil remained in the toaster or heang element, it usually will emit the
odour for the rst use. It is normal and will not occur aer several mes use. For the rst use
it is suggested to operate according to the below steps, except without bread. Then let the
toaster cool down and begin toasng the rst slice.
OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
1. Remove all packaging and place the toaster on a at, stable and heat resistant surface.
2. To check crumb tray is completely posion in place before using.
3. Check inside the bread slots to ensure everything has been removed.
4. Connect the plug to the wall outlet and power on the toaster.
5. Do not place bread in the toaster for the rst use. Instead, lower the bread carriage handle to
allow the heang elements to preheat and burn o any dust and residues which may have
accumulated during manufacturing or assembly.
6. Once the above is completed, do not operate the toaster when empty.
7. Insert two slices of bread into the bread slots. The bread carriage handle must be in the up
posion when inserng the bread slices.
8. Set the browning level for the bread by adjusng the browning control knob according to your
desired degree of browning. There are 7 levels the lowest brownish is at “1”. The posion “3”
can toast the bread to golden colour colour . Respecvely, posion “7” delivers the darkest
result. It is always advisable to start the toasng at lowest level rst and then adjust
accordingly.
