Tailgate Handle Camera Assembly

1. Remove the 8 T25 Torx screws holding the liner.
2. Once the liner is removed, the top half of the sheet
metal cover can easily be removed.

3. View with the sheet metal cover removed.
4. Remove the latch rod by pressing in the locks on the
sides then pull back.
5. Remove the two 10mm nuts holding the
tailgate handle.
6. Carefully remove the tailgate handle assembly by
liing the handle and pulling slightly upward.
Remove the OE lock and install it on the CFD-15KM.
7. Fish the video and power cables inside the
tailgate towards the bed of the truck.
8. Run the cables through the hole on the bed and
under the bed of the truck. We recommend running
the cable under the passenger side of the truck bed.

9. Remove the OEM LED light kit and install it in
the CFD-15KM camera assembly. -install the Re
CFD-15KM and secure it with the 10mm nuts.
10. Remove the passenger tail light assembly by
removing the 2 screws on the side.
11. Tap the power and ground wires of the camera
cable to the reverse light wires as follows:
RED = GREEN/Black
BLACK = BLACK/Yellow
12. Run the video cable towards the front of the
truck and pass through holes found between
the truck bed and cabin.
13. Remove the passenger side door sill and run
the cable towards the radio and plug the video
RCA to the aermarket radio or RVC Interface.
14. With the e-brake engaged, put the vehicle in
reverse and check the camera funconality. If
the camera image is seen on the screen, you
can reinstall the tail gate sheet metal cover
and bed liner.
