Congratulations!
By purchasing the Crivit CEK 22 A1 electric coolbox, hereinafter referred to as the coolbox, you
have opted for a quality product.
Before first using it, familiarise yourself with the way the coolbox works and read these operating
instructions through carefully. Be careful to follow the safety instructions and only use the coolbox as
described in the operating instructions and for the applications given.
Keep these operating instructions in a safe place. If you pass the coolbox on to someone else, make
sure to give them all the relevant documents with it.
1. Intended use
The coolbox allows you to keep packed food and drinks cool or warm. The power is supplied via a
12 V cigarette lighter socket. You can use the coolbox for camping, in the car or for similar
applications. This coolbox has not been designed for corporate or commercial applications. Use the
coolbox for private purposes only. Any use other than that mentioned above does not correspond to
the intended use. This coolbox fulfils all that relates to CE Conformity, relevant norms and standards.
Any modifications to the coolbox other than recommended changes by the manufacturer may result
in these standards no longer being met. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage or
malfunctions resulting from such modifications.
Observe the regulations and laws in the respective country of use.

4. Safety instructions
Before you use the coolbox for the first time, please read the
following notes and heed all warnings, even if you are familiar
with handling electronic devices. Keep these operating
instructions in a safe place for future reference. If you sell or pass
the coolbox on to another person, it is imperative that you also
hand over these operating instructions. The operating instructions
are part of the product.
DANGER! This symbol and the word “Danger”
alert you to a potentially dangerous situation.
Ignoring it can lead to severe injury or even
death.
WARNING! This symbol and the word
“Warning” denote important information
required for the safe operation of the product
and for the safety of its users.
This symbol denotes further information on the
topic.
DANGER! This device may be used by children of 8 years
or over or by persons with physical, sensory or mental
impairments or those with no knowledge or experience
providing they are supervised or they have been given
instructions on the proper use of the device and they
understand the associated risks. This device is not a toy. The

product must not be cleaned or maintained by unsupervised
children. Children aged 3 to 8 can load or unload the
coolbox. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of
children. There is a risk of suffocation.
DANGER! If smoke, unusual noises or smells are noticed,
disconnect the coolbox from the power supply immediately.
If this occurs, the coolbox should not be used before it has
been inspected by authorised service personnel. Never
inhale smoke from a possible device fire. If you do
inadvertently inhale smoke, seek medical attention. Smoke
inhalation can be damaging to your health.
DANGER! Do not store explosive materials such as aerosol
containers with flammable propellants in the device.
DANGER! To prevent traffic accident risks, arrange the
connection cable in the vehicle so that it does not impede
the driver.
DANGER! When in the vehicle, secure the coolbox against
sudden movements, so it does not present a risk to the
vehicle occupants in the event or hard braking or an
accident. Store the coolbox in the boot.
WARNING! The coolbox must not be damaged in order
to avoid any further risks.

WARNING! Make sure that no fire hazards (e.g. burning
candles) are placed on or near the coolbox. Fire hazard!
WARNING! Do not expose the coolbox to any direct heat
sources (e.g. heaters), direct sunlight or strong artificial light.
The device must not be exposed to rain, spray or dripping
water or abrasive liquids. Do not use the coolbox near water.
The coolbox must especially never be immersed (do not
place any containers containing liquids such as drinks, vases,
etc. on the coolbox). Make sure that the coolbox is not
subject to excessive impacts or vibrations. Do not introduce
any foreign bodies into the device, as these could damage
the coolbox.
WARNING! The ventilation slots must not be covered.
Keep sufficient clearance to walls or other objects to allow
air to circulate freely. Otherwise, there is a risk of overheating.
WARNING! Do not put liquids or ice directly into the
coolbox. This could damage the coolbox.
Connection cable
DANGER! Never use adapter plugs or extension cables
and do not tamper with the cable. If the connection cable of
this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its customer service or a similarly qualified
person, in order to avoid any possible danger. There is a risk
of short circuits!

laid so that nobody can trip over it or be obstructed by it.

6. Before you start
Remove the coolboxfrom the packaging.
Check the coolbox for damage. If the coolbox is damaged, do not use it.

7. Getting started
Prior to using the coolbox for the first time, it is recommended that you clean it for hygiene reasons.
See also the chapter 8.3 “Cleaning”.
Because of the materials used, there can be a slight product-specific smell inside the coolbox
before it is used for the first time. This smell is perfectly harmless, but, for hygiene reasons, we
recommend wiping the inside and outside of the coolbox with a damp cloth before using it
for the first time (see also Chapter “8.3 Cleaning”). Do not store unwrapped food in it.
In keep-warm mode, the coolbox switches off when the internal temperature reaches around
65 °C.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON STORING FOOD
• The proper use of the coolbox, correct packaging of food, maintenance of suitable temperatures
and food hygiene all effect the quality of food storage.
• Note the expiry date quoted on the food packaging.
• Food stored in the coolbox must be in sealed containers or appropriate packaging to ensure it
does not absorb moisture or smells.
• Bottles with a high alcohol content must be properly sealed and stored upright.
• Store heavy foods at the bottom and light or easily damaged foods (e.g. fruit) on top in order to
prevent spoilage.
Follow the instructions below to prevent food contamination:
• Leaving the lid [2] open for a long time can considerable increase the temperature in the coolbox.
• Clean any surfaces which come into regular contact with
food.
• Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the coolbox so that the do not come into contact
with or drip on other food.
• If you are leaving the coolbox empty for a long time, clean it and leave the lid [2] open to prevent
mould forming.
7.1 Loading the coolbox
Move the carry handle [5] forwards. Now open the lid [2]. Place the food and drinks in the coolbox.
If you wish to keep food cool, it is best to use pre-chilled food and drink. Close the lid [2] after
loading. Move the carry handle [5] backwards.
7.2 Transporting the coolbox
You can use the carry handle [5] to transport the coolbox.

8. Maintenance/cleaning
8.1 Maintenance
WARNING! Servicing is required if the coolbox is
damaged in any way, for example, if liquid or objects have
entered the casing, if the coolbox is exposed to rain or
moisture, if it is not working properly or if it has been
dropped. If smoke, unusual noises or smells are noticed,
disconnect the coolbox from the power supply immediately.
If this occurs, the coolbox should not be used before it has
been inspected by authorised service personnel. All
servicing work must be carried out by qualified specialist
personnel. Never open the casing of the coolbox.
8.2 Replacing the fuse
Proceed as follows to replace the fuse [8]:
• Unplug the cigarette lighter plug [1] from the cigarette lighter socket.
• Undo the screw on the fuse box and pull off the cap.
• Replace the fuse [8] with a new fuse [8] of the same type. You can purchase a suitable fuse [8]
from any electrical retailer.
• Replace the cap and retighten the screw.
8.3 Cleaning
DANGER! Make sure the device is disconnected from the
power source before cleaning. There is a risk of short
circuits!
DANGER! Make sure that no liquid gets into the lid, in
order to prevent hazards.
Remove the lid [2] for cleaning by opening it and pressing it off the recess [7] to the back right.

To clean the lid [2], use a slightly dampened cloth. Never use any solvents or cleaners that may
damage the plastic. You can clean the ventilation slots on the lid [2] carefully with a soft brush.
Clean the inside of the coolbox with washing-up liquid and then rinse out with clean water. Then dry
the coolbox off thoroughly.
After cleaning, replace the lid [2] by moving it towards the coolbox in a 45° angle. Place the lid [2]
first into the left-hand opening and then push it down into the right-hand recess [7].
9. Storage when not in use
If you do not wish to use the coolbox for an extended period, remove all contents. Disconnect the
coolbox from the power supply and store the connection cable in the cable box [3]. Store the coolbox
in a clean, dry place out of direct sunlight. Leave the lid [2] open when in storage to ensure the
coolbox is well ventilated. You can hold the lid open [2] using the lock [6]. Refer to the illustration on
the manual cover.
10. Troubleshooting
The coolbox does not work.
• Check that the cigarette lighter plug [1] is correctly inserted into the cigarette lighter socket.
• Switch on your vehicle ignition as many vehicles only supply electricity to the cigarette lighter
socket when the ignition is on.
• The fuse [8] is faulty. Replace the fuse [8] by following the instruction in chapter “8.2 Replacing
the fuse”.
The coolbox is not cooling properly.
• Move the coolbox to a cooler position. Make sure that the coolbox is not exposed to direct
sunlight.
• Make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered and there is sufficient room for air to circulate.
The coolbox is not warming properly.
• Make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered and there is sufficient room for air to circulate.

11. Environmental regulations and disposal information
Devices marked with this symbol are subject to the European Directive
2012/19/EU. All electrical and electronic devices must be disposed of separately
from household waste at official disposal centres. The product contains the gas
cyclopentane, which must be considered when disposing of it. Avoid hazards to the
environment and dangers to your personal health by disposing of the device
properly. For further information about proper disposal, contact your local council,
disposal bodies or the shop where you bought the device.
Dispose of all packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Cardboard
packaging can be taken to paper recycling centres or public collection points for
recycling. Any film or plastic contained in the packaging should be taken to your
public collection points for disposal.
Please note the markings on the packaging material when disposing of it, it is
labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b), the meanings of which are as
follows:
1–7: plastic / 20–22: paper and cardboard / 80-98: composite materials.

14. Warranty and service information
Warranty of TARGA GmbH
Dear Customer,
This device is sold with three years warranty from the date of purchase. In the event of product defects,
you have legal rights towards the seller. These statutory rights are not restricted by our warranty as
described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period commences upon the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt in a
safe place as it is required as proof of purchase. If any material or manufacturing faults occur within
three years of purchase of this product, we will repair or replace the product free of charge as we
deem appropriate.
Warranty period and legal warranty rights
The warranty period is not extended in the event of a warranty claim. This also applies to replaced
and repaired parts. Any damage or defects discovered upon purchase must be reported immediately
when the product has been unpacked. Any repairs required after the warranty period will be subject
to charge.
Scope of warranty
The device was carefully manufactured in compliance with stringent quality guidelines and subjected
to thorough testing before it left the works. The warranty applies to material and manufacturing faults.
This warranty does not cover product components which are subject to normal wear and which can
therefore be regarded as wearing parts, or damage to fragile components such as switches,
rechargeable batteries or components made of glass. This warranty is void if the product is damaged,
incorrectly used or serviced. To ensure correct use of the product, always comply fully with all
instructions contained in the user manual. The warnings and recommendations in the user manual
regarding correct and incorrect use and handling of the product must always be observed and
complied with. The product is solely designed for private use and is not suitable for commercial
applications. The warranty is rendered void in the event of incorrect handling and misuse, if it is
subjected to force, and also if any person other than our authorised service technicians interfere with
the device. No new warranty period commences if the product is repaired or replaced.

DANGER ! Dans le véhicule, fixez la glacière de manière à
éviter tout mouvement soudain, de sorte qu’elle ne présente
pas de risque pour les occupants du véhicule en cas de
freinage brusque ou d’accident. Mettez la glacière dans le
coffre.
AVERTISSEMENT ! Veillez à ne pas endommager la
glacière afin d'éviter tout autre risque.
AVERTISSEMENT ! Veillez à ne pas placer de sources
incandescentes (bougies allumées, etc.) sur la glacière ou à
proximité. Risque d’incendie !
AVERTISSEMENT ! N’exposez pas la glacière à des
sources de chaleur directes (radiateurs, par exemple), à la
lumière directe du soleil ou à une lumière artificielle intense.
Évitez tout contact avec la pluie et l’eau sous toutes ses
formes, ainsi qu’avec les liquides abrasifs. N'utilisez pas la
glacière à proximité de l'eau. En particulier, n'immergez
jamais la glacière dans un liquide et ne placez aucun
récipient contenant des liquides, tel que des boissons ou des
vases, sur la glacière ou à proximité. Veillez à ne pas exposer
la glacière à des vibrations ou des impact excessifs.
N'introduisez pas de corps étrangers dans l'appareil. Sinon,
la glacière pourrait être endommagée.

7. Mise en route
Avant d’utiliser la glacière pour la première fois, il est recommandé de la nettoyer pour des raisons
d’hygiène. Consultez également le chapitre 8.3« Nettoyage ».
Étant donné les matériaux utilisés, une légère odeur spécifique au produit peut être présente à
l’intérieur de la glacière lors de sa première utilisation. Cette odeur est parfaitement inoffensive
mais, pour des raisons d’hygiène, nous recommandons d’essuyer l’intérieur et l’extérieur de la
glacière avec un chiffon humide avant de l’utiliser pour la première fois (voir également le
Chapitre « 8.3 Nettoyage »). Ne stockez pas d'aliments non emballés à l’intérieur.
En mode de maintien au chaud, la glacière s’éteint lorsque la température intérieure atteint
environ 65 °C.
REMARQUE IMPORTANTE SUR LA CONSERVATION DES ALIMENTS
• L’utilisation appropriée de la glacière, le bon emballage des aliments, le maintien de
températures appropriées et l’hygiène alimentaire contribuent tous à la qualité de conservation
des aliments.
• Tenez compte de la date de péremption indiquée sur l’emballage des aliments.
• Les aliments placés dans la glacière doivent être conservés dans des contenants hermétiques ou
un emballage approprié afin d’éviter qu’ils n’absorbent de l’humidité ou des odeurs.
• Les bouteilles avec une teneur élevée en alcool doivent être parfaitement fermées et conservées
à la verticale.
• Placez les aliments lourds au fond et les aliments légers ou fragiles (par ex., les fruits) sur le dessus
afin d’éviter leur détérioration.
Respectez les instructions ci-dessous pour éviter toute contamination des aliments :
• Ne laissez pas le couvercle [2] ouvert trop longtemps ; cela risque d’augmenter
considérablement la température dans la glacière.
• Nettoyez les surfaces qui entrent régulièrement en contact avec les aliments.
• Conservez la viande crue et le poisson cru dans des contenants adaptés à l’intérieur de la
glacière pour éviter qu’ils ne touchent les autres aliments ou qu’ils ne coulent dessus.
• Si vous n’utilisez pas la glacière pendant une période prolongée, nettoyez-la et laissez le
couvercle [2] ouvert afin d’éviter l’apparition de moisissures.
7.1 Remplissage de la glacière
Déplacez la poignée de transport [5] vers l’avant. Maintenant, ouvrez le couvercle [2]. Placez les
aliments et les boissons dans la glacière. Si vous souhaitez les garder froids, il vaut mieux utiliser des
aliments et des boissons préalablement réfrigérés. Fermez le couvercle [2] après le remplissage.
Repoussez la poignée de transport [5] vers l’arrière.

7.2 Transport de la glacière
Vous pouvez utiliser la poignée de transport [5] pour transporter la glacière.
7.3 Mise en marche et arrêt de la glacière
AVERTISSEMENT ! Assurez-vous que votre véhicule
possède une batterie de 12 V. N’utilisez jamais la glacière
dans un véhicule alimenté en 24 V.
Retirez le câble de connexion avec la fiche allume-cigares [1] du compartiment de rangement du
câble [3]. Déroulez entièrement le câble. Mettez le sélecteur de mode de fonctionnement [4] dans
la position « COLD » pour garder les aliments froids ou « HOT » pour les garder au chaud. Branchez
ensuite la fiche allume-cigares [1] sur une prise allume-cigares adaptée de votre véhicule. La glacière
est maintenant allumée. Pour éteindre la glacière, débranchez la fiche allume-cigares [1] de la prise
allume-cigares de votre véhicule.
La glacière fonctionne toujours à pleine puissance. Elle peut refroidir son contenu jusqu’à un
maximum de 18 °C en-dessous la température ambiante (pour une température ambiante de
23 °C). En mode de maintien au chaud, la température intérieure maximale est d’environ 65 °C
(pour une température ambiante de 23 °C).
Puisque les prises allume-cigares de certains véhicules demeurent alimentées même lorsque le
contact est coupé, il est conseillé de toujours débrancher la fiche allume-cigares [1] de la prise
allume-cigares de votre véhicule lorsque vous quittez ce dernier. Sinon, l’utilisation de la batterie

N’utilisez pas la glacière en mode refroidissement si la température ambiante est inférieure à
18 °C afin d’éviter que son contenu ne gèle.
7.4 Conseils en matière d’économie d’énergie
En mode refroidissement, n’exposez pas la glacière aux rayons directs du soleil.
En mode refroidissement, mettez toujours dans la glacière des aliments et boissons réfrigérés.
N’ouvrez pas la glacière plus longtemps que nécessaire et fermez bien le couvercle [2].
Assurez-vous que l’air peut bien circuler entre les aliments. Il est possible de mettre dans la
glacière un maximum de 22 canettes de boisson de 330 mL (Ø 67 mm x H 115 mm) en
position verticale.

8.3 Nettoyage
DANGER ! Assurez-vous que l’appareil est débranché de la
source d’alimentation électrique avant son nettoyage. Il
présente un risque de court-circuit !
DANGER ! Veillez à ce qu’aucun liquide ne pénètre dans le
couvercle, afin d'éviter tout danger.
Pour le nettoyage, retirez le couvercle [2] en l’ouvrant et en le poussant de manière à le dégager du
creux [7] situé à l’arrière de la glacière à droite.
Pour nettoyer le couvercle [2], utilisez un chiffon légèrement humide. N’utilisez jamais de solvants ou
de détergents qui pourraient endommager le plastique. Vous pouvez nettoyer les orifices de
ventilation situés sur le couvercle [2] en procédant avec précaution avec une brosse douce.
Nettoyez l’intérieur de la glacière avec du liquide vaisselle puis rincez bien à l’eau propre. Ensuite,
séchez soigneusement la glacière.
Une fois le nettoyage terminé, replacez le couvercle [2] en le déplaçant vers la glacière à un angle
de 45°. Placez le couvercle [2] dans un premier temps dans l’ouverture de gauche puis enfoncez-le
dans la rainure de droite [7].
9. Stockage en cas de non-utilisation
Si vous ne voulez pas utiliser la glacière pendant une période prolongée, retirez tout ce qu’il y a à
l’intérieur. Débranchez la glacière de l’alimentation électrique et rangez le câble de connexion dans
le compartiment de rangement du câble [3]. Stockez la glacière dans un endroit propre et sec à
l'abri des rayons directs du soleil. Laissez le couvercle [2] ouvert pendant le stockage afin que la
glacière soit bien ventilée. Vous pouvez garder le couvercle ouvert [2] en utilisant le verrou [6].

10. Résolution des problèmes
La glacière ne fonctionne pas.
• Vérifiez que la fiche allume-cigares [1] est correctement insérée dans la prise allume-cigares.
• Allumez le contact de votre véhicule. De nombreux véhicules n'alimentent la prise allume-cigares
en électricité que lorsque le contact est mis.
• Le fusible [8] est défaillant. Remplacez le fusible [8] en suivant les instructions données au
chapitre « 8.2 Remplacement du fusible ».

• Déplacez la glacière dans un endroit plus frais. Assurez-vous que la glacière n’est pas exposée
aux rayons directs du soleil.

pour que l’air puisse circuler.

11. Réglementation environnementale et informations sur la mise
au rebut
Les appareils portant ce symbole sont soumis à la directive
européenne 2012/19/EU. Les appareils électriques ou électroniques usagés ne
doivent en aucun cas être jetés avec les déchets ménagers, mais déposés dans des
centres de collecte officiels. Le produit contient du gaz cyclopentane, dont il faut
tenir compte lors de sa mise au rebut. Protégez l’environnement et préservez votre
santé en recyclant correctement les appareils usagés. Pour plus d'informations sur
les normes de mise au rebut et de recyclage en vigueur, contactez votre mairie, vos
services locaux de gestion des déchets ou le magasin où vous avez acheté
l'appareil.
Les matériaux d’emballage doivent être mis au rebut de manière respectueuse de
l'environnement. Les cartons d’emballage peuvent être déposés dans des centres de
recyclage du papier ou dans des points de collecte publics destinés au recyclage.
Tous les films ou plastiques contenus dans l’emballage doivent être déposés dans
des points de collecte publics.

sa mise au rebut. Il comporte des abréviations (a) et des numéros (b), qui ont la

pas aux pièces soumises à une usure normale et qui peuvent donc être considérées comme des
pièces d’usure, ni aux dégâts sur les pièces fragiles comme p. ex. les interrupteurs, les piles
rechargeables ou les pièces en verre. Cette garantie est invalidée si le produit est endommagé, est
utilisé ou entretenu de manière inappropriée. Pour assurer une utilisation conforme du produit, toutes
les instructions indiquées dans le mode d’emploi doivent être soigneusement respectées. Les
utilisations et manipulations non conseillées dans le mode d’emploi ou qui font l’objet d’un
avertissement doivent impérativement être évitées. Ce produit est destiné exclusivement à une
utilisation privée et non commerciale. La garantie prend fin en cas de manipulation abusive et

Le vendeur livre un bien conforme au contrat et répond des défauts de conformité existant lors de la
délivrance.
Il répond également des défauts de conformité résultant de l‘emballage, des instructions de montage
ou de l‘installation lorsque celle-ci a été mise à sa charge par le contrat ou a été réalisée sous sa
responsabilité.

L‘action résultant des vices rédhibitoires doit être intentée par l‘acquéreur dans un délai de deux ans
à compter de la découverte du vice.
