instructions for use for future reference.
Your ADE electronic bed scale is a quality, sturdy and durable product manufactured under the high standards
and regulations for calibrated class III scales in accordance with national regulation in Germany. The scale is
designed and manufactured for the daily practice in hospitals and dialysis centres.
ADE instruction manuals have been prepared to provide the user with all the necessary knowledge about the
safe use of ADE scales and their related accessory equipment.

Assembly and set up
The ADE bed scale is supplied in a fully assembled condition. Please insure that your scale is being placed
vibration-free at a dry place. Dismantle packaging and foil carefully and remove the transport securing devic-
es. Place the weighing platforms on a plain, dry and level surface before the weighing procedure.
Scope of delivery
– 2 Weighing platforms
– Connection cable between weighing platforms
– Indicator incl. connection cable
– Mounting Device for the indicator
– Mains adapter
– Operating Manual including Certificate of Conformity
Assembly
Dismantle packaging and foil carefully. Weighing platforms are equipped with castors and a handle for easy
transport.
(1) Move the scale to the place of use.
(2) Connect both platforms to each other with the connecting cable.
(3) Connect the indicator with the corresponding cable to the jack connector at one of the weighing platforms.
(4) Connect the attached mains adapter to the indicator.
(5) Afterwards connect the mains adapter to the socket. The rechargeable batteries need 24 hours power
supply to achieve full battery load.
(6) Start the scale by pressing the ON key.
(7) The scale is ready to use
(8) Follow the steps under the chapter “Operations”.
Power supply
Power is supplied either by the rechargeable battery in the display unit or by the mains power via the supplied
power unit. The imprinted voltage value at the mains adapter must match the mains voltage at the place of
use. Connect the mains cable to the indicator and to a socket.
The wall socket must be located near to the unit and be easily accessible. Please use only the mains adapter
supplied by ADE. The mains adapter is charging the battery pack during normal operation.
