BY-ALARM PLUS
Tastiera By-alarm Plus con display LCD monocromatico, alimentazione 12 Vdc,
23 tasti retro-illuminati, 5 LED di stato, installazione a parete.
La tastiera è la periferica più completa per gestire l'impianto antintrusione. Ad ogni tastiera
l’installatore assegna le aree di appartenenza e le zone dell’impianto alle quali gli utenti dotati di
codice possono accedere e operare. Il display grafico visualizza tutte le informazioni utilizzando
un’interfaccia utente caratterizzata da una navigazione semplice e fruibile.
COLLEGAMENTI
Il collegamento con la centrale va effettuato con un cavo schermato a 4 (o più) fili.
Attenzione: La calza va collegata ad uno dei morsetti di massa (o GND) solo dal lato della
centrale e deve seguire tutto il BUS senza essere collegata a massa in altri punti.
Il collegamento della tastiera va effettuato sui morsetti “+ D S -” della centrale.
INSTALLAZIONE
1. Scegliere una posizione idonea all’installazione.
2. Aprire la tastiera staccando il frontale dalla staffa con i morsetti.
3.Fissare la staffa sul muro. La staffa può essere montata su varie tipologie di scatole da incasso
(tonde, quadrate e rettangolari) oppure direttamente a parete.
4. Far passare i cavi attraverso il foro passacavi e cablarli opportunamente sulla morsettiera.
5. Montare la tastiera sulla staffa inserendo prima i ganci di tenuta nelle loro sedi, poi spingendo
la tastiera verso il muro.
6. Inserire la vite di bloccaggio nella sua sede.

E’ presente un allarme/sabotaggio su almeno un'area della tastiera o è
presente un allarme di sistema.
Led giallo Almeno un guasto in corso.
Led verde La tensione di alimentazione primaria (230V~) non è presente ed è stata
rilevata una condizione di batteria bassa.
SEGNALAZIONI SUL BUZZER
Le tastiere emettono segnalazioni acustiche per segnalare i vari stati dell'impianto.
Vengono segnalati i tempi di ingresso, di uscita e quelli di preavviso delle aree abilitate.
Se programmato da centrale, le tastiere possono riprodurre sul buzzer anche la segnalazione
di allarme.
FUNZIONI DI EMERGENZA
Mediante opportune combinazioni di tasti, da tastiera possono essere attivate in centrale le
seguenti segnalazioni:
• Emergenza Incendio
• Emergenza Sanitaria
• Emergenza Pubblica sicurezza
L’attivazione di ciascuna di queste emergenze comporta l’attivazione delle uscite e l’invio delle
notifiche coerentemente con la programmazione di centrale.
I tasti evidenziati in grigio vanno premuti contemporaneamente per un tempo di almeno 3 s.

DISPLAY
Il display di LCD da 192 x 64 pixel, è retroilluminato ed è possibile regolarne la luminosità tramite
apposito menu.
I contenuti visualizzati variano a seconda della situazione o dello stato in cui la centrale si trova,
ossia:
• Riposo, cioè la condizione naturale di funzionamento della centrale, senza segnalazioni di
allarme, sabotaggio o guasto in corso. In questa condizione il display visualizza sulla prima riga
l’utente loggato nel sistema e la data corrente, sulla seconda riga l’ora corrente e sulla terza
riga una serie di funzioni attivabile mediante l’utilizzo degli appositi tasti contestuali. Le funzioni
attivabili dipendono dallo stato del sistema e dalla configurazione dello stesso.
• Allarme o sabotaggio di zona, cioè quando la centrale rileva la violazione o segnala l’avvenuta
violazione di una zona, siano essi un’intrusione o la manomissione di un dispositivo. In questo
stato sulla prima riga del display viene data indicazione del tipo di allarme: INTRUSIONE,
INCENDIO, SABOTAGGIO o ALLARME AMBIENTALE e sulla seconda riga viene indicato il
nome della zona in allarme. Nel caso ci siano più zone in allarme verrà visualizzata la prima
zona violata in ordine cronologico.
• Manutenzione, cioè lo stato di funzionamento in cui la centrale viene posta per operazioni
di manutenzione o programmazione. In questa condizione il display visualizza sulla prima
riga l’installatore loggato nel sistema e la data corrente, sulla seconda riga riporta lo stato “In
Manutenzione” e sulla terza riga una serie di funzioni attivabili mediante l’utilizzo degli appositi
tasti contestuali. Le funzioni attivabili dipendono dallo stato del sistema e dalla configurazione
dello stesso.
Icone di stato visualizzate sul display
Viene utilizzata all’interno delle pagine del menù per indicare una condizione di
allarme in corso. Accedendo alla lista delle aree, l’icona lampeggiante potrebbe
essere anteposta al nome delle aree in allarme.
Accedendo all’elenco allarmi l’icona lampeggiante, affianco alla zona in allarme,
indica la persistenza della condizione di allarme (ad esempio la zona è stata
violata ed è tutt’ora aperta).
Viene visualizzata al centro del display, nell'home page della tastiera, a seguito
di:
- una scrittura nell'impianto con il software By-alarm Plus Manager;
- modifica delle descrizioni:
- dopo il ripristino dei dati di fabbrica.
Per l'utente indica una fase di allineamento tra centrale e tastiere durante la
quale la tastiera non può essere utilizzata (non recepisce la pressione tasti).
FUNZIONAMENTO
L'utente digita il codice PIN sulla tastiera e, una volta che esso è stato riconosciuto dalla centrale,
viene abilitato ad operare sull'impianto o su parte di esso.
Per avere accesso al proprio menù, sia l'utente che l'installatore, devono validare il proprio codi-
ce; per fare ciò premere il tasto “MENÚ” e digitare il PIN.
CONFIGURAZIONE
Per tutti i dettagli si vedano i manuali di installazione del sistema By-Alarm Plus e del software
By-alarm Plus Manager.
REGOLE DI INSTALLAZIONE
L’installazione deve essere effettuata da personale qualificato con l’osservanza delle disposizioni
regolanti l’installazione del materiale elettrico in vigore nel paese dove i prodotti sono installati.

By-alarm Plus keypad with monochrome LCD display, 12 Vdc power supply,
23 backlit keys, 5 status LEDs, surface mounting.
The keypad is the most complete peripheral for managing the burglar alarm system. The
installer assigns the areas and system zones to each keypad. Users with the appropriate code
can access and operate these areas and zones. The graphic display shows all the information
through a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate.
CONNECTIONS
Connect it to the control unit with a 4-wire (or more) shielded cable.
Caution: Connect the shield to one of the earth (or GND) terminals at the control unit end
only, and ensure that it follows the entire BUS without being connected to earth at any
other point.
Connect the keypad to the “+ D S -” terminals on the control unit.
INSTALLATION
1. Choose a suitable location for installation.
2. Detach the front panel from the bracket with the terminals to open the keypad.
3. Fasten the bracket to the wall. The bracket can be fitted to various types of flush mounting
box (round, square and rectangular) or directly to the wall.
4. Route the cables through the cable outlet holes and wire them to the terminal block.
5. Mount the keypad on the bracket, inserting the retaining tabs into their seats first and then
pushing the keypad towards the wall.
6. Insert the fixing screw in position.

has been detected.
BUZZER INDICATIONS
The keypads emit acoustic signals to indicate the various system statuses.
Entrance, exit and warning times are indicated for the enabled areas.
If programmed from the control unit, the keypads can also repeat alarm indications on the buzzer.
EMERGENCY FUNCTIONS
Special key combinations on the keypad can be used to activate the following indications on
the control unit:
• Fire Emergency
• Health Emergency
• Public Safety Emergency
Activating any of these emergency conditions activates outputs and sends alerts, as pro-
grammed in the control unit.
Press the keys highlighted in grey for at least 3 s.

DISPLAY
The 192 x 64 pixel LCD display is backlit, and its brightness can be adjusted from the corre-
sponding menu.
The contents displayed vary with the situation or current control unit status, i.e.:
• , the normal operating condition of the control unit, without any active alarm, tampering Rest
or fault indications. In this condition, the first line of the display shows the user logged into the
system and the current date, the second line shows the current time, and the third line shows
a set of functions that can be activated with the corresponding function keys. The functions
that can be activated depend on the system status and configuration.
• Zone alarm or tampering, when the control unit detects a violation or indicates a violation in
a zone, either an intrusion or tampering with a device. In this state, the first line of the display
indicates the alarm type: INTRUSION, FIRE, TAMPER or ENVIRONMENT ALARM, and the
second line shows the name of the zone with the alarm. If more than one zone has an alarm,
the first one to be violated will be displayed.
• -Maintenance, the operating state in which the control unit is set for maintenance or program
ming. In this condition, the first line of the display shows the installer logged onto the system
and the current date, the second line shows the “Maintenance” state, and the third line shows
a set of functions that can be activated with the corresponding function keys. The functions
that can be activated depend on the system status and configuration.
Status icons shown on the display
This is shown in the menu pages to indicate that there is an active alarm. On
opening the alarms list, the icon flashes and may be followed by the name of
the areas with an alarm.
On opening the alarms list, if the icon flashes next to the zone with the alarm,
it indicates that the alarm condition still persists (e.g. the zone was violated
and is still open).
It is shown in the middle of the display, in the keyboard home page, after:
- writing in the system with the By-alarm Plus Manager software;
- modification of descriptions:
- after a reset to factory settings.
For the user, it indicates an alignment phase between the control unit and the
keyboards during which the keyboard cannot be used (it does not respond to
key pressing).

OPERATION
Enter the user PIN on the keypad, and when the control unit has recognised it, you will be ena-
bled to operate the system or part of it.
To open your menu, either user or installer, you must validate you PIN; to do so, press the
“MENU” key and enter the PIN.
