Technical Information
With its new MB 410 and MB 415 petrol lawnmo-
wers, VIKING has expanded its product line with two
new models, while simultaneously laying the foun-
dation for a new generation of lawnmowers.
The new, compact, and easy-to-service E•Line
models round off the lower end of our product
range.
The lightweight, monocoque plastic housing made
of high quality polymer is torque resistant and,
thanks to its smooth surface, easy to clean.
The MB 410 and MB 415 models are equipped with
a high performance four-stroke combustion engine
with primer carburettor and fixed throttle setting.
As with an electric lawnmower, the engine speed
remains constant during operation.
The engine is stopped via the motorstop lever.
Model MB 415 is also equipped with a heavy duty,
maintenance free single-speed gearbox for conve-
nient operation.

1. General information
Always read the instruction manual before operating
for the first time. National legislation and the safety
instructions in the instruction manual must be
observed for repairs or maintenance, particularly
when operating the appliance for the first time
(test run).
To avoid serious injury, the engine must always be
switched off when performing maintenance work on
the lawnmower.
Before carrying out maintenance work, the ignition
lead must always be disconnected and fastened
away from the spark plug in order to prevent the
engine from being started inadvertently.

3. Cutting height adjustment
The new MB 410 and MB 415 lawnmowers feature
separate cutting height adjustment for the front and
rear axles.
The adjustment lever for front axle height adjust-
ment is located next to the left front wheel.
The adjustment lever for rear axle height adjustment
is located next to the left rear wheel.
4. Engine oil and fuel
Top up engine oil before initial start (oil dipstick).
Please consult the engine instruction manual for the
grade of engine oil to be used and the filling
quantity.
Note:
VIKING HD 15W-40 and VIKING SAE 30 are two
high quality motor oils specially formulated for use
in small four-stroke engines.
Checking engine oil
Check engine oil level at regular intervals.The oil
level must be within the marked field on the dipstick.
Screw the dipstick in fully to measure the level.
Fuel
Recommendation: Fresh good quality fuel, normal
unleaded petrol.
There are 7 cutting height adjustment settings
ranging from 25 to 70 mm.
Cutting levels 2 to 6 are standard.
Level 1 = lowest cutting height
Level 7 = highest cutting height
The engine must be switched off before adjusting
the cutting height.
Height adjustment:
First, push adjustment lever in direction of the wheel
and then allow to engage in the desired position
(= cutting height).
The cutting height indicators are located immediate-
ly next to the adjustment levers, on the housing or
on the catcher bag.
The cutting height settings on the front and rear
axles should be identical. Different cutting heights
result in a reduced collecting performance.
