Introduction
Keep this manual in a safe place. Make
sure that all documents accompany the
device if you pass it on to anyone else.
Proper use
This light is designed for use indoors only, in dry
and enclosed rooms. The manufacturer is not liable
for damage caused by improper use. The product is
not intended for commercial use.

Never leave children unsupervised with the

Keep out of the reach of children.
RISK OF FATAL INJURY!
During installation keep children away from the
area in which you are working. The scope of
supply includes a number of screws and other
small parts. These may prove lifethreatening if
swallowed or inhaled.
Children or persons who lack the knowledge or
experience to use the device or whose physical,
sensory or intellectual capacities are limited must
never be allowed to use the device without
supervision or instruction by a person responsible
for their safety. Children must never be allowed
to play with the device.
CAUTION! DANGER OF EXPLO-
SION! Do not operate the lamp in
potentially explosive environments in
which there are inflammable vapours, gases or
dusts.

Safety information / Before installation / Installation
CAUTION! Use 230 V∼ energy-saving
bulbs 7 with an E14 fitting and a maximum
power of 9 watt only.
CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY!
Any broken glass must be replaced
before any further use.
Danger to life by
electric shock
Electrical installation must be performed by a
qualified electrician.
Every time before connecting the lamp to the
mains 6, check it and the mains lead for dam-
age. Dispose the light if you find it is damaged
in any way.
Before installation, remove the fuse for this circuit
or switch off the circuit breaker (0 setting) in the
fuse box.
Make sure before installing the light that the mains
voltage at the place of installation complies with
the operating voltage of the light (230 V∼) and
that the wire cross-section of the supply cable
is not less than 1 mm. Do not install the light if
this is not the case.
Never let the lamp come into contact with
water or other liquids.
Never open or insert anything into electrical
fittings or equipment. Doing this sort of thing can
lead to a serious danger to life from electric shock.
Avoiding fire hazards
and risk of injury
CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Check the
lamps and light immediately on unpacking for
signs of damage. Do not install the light if you
discover any damage.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
RISK OF DAMAGE TO PROPERTY! RISK
OF INJURY! Ensure that you do not strike
electrical cables, gas or water pipes when you
are drilling into the ceiling. If necessary, check the
ceiling using a suitable detector before you drill.
0,5 m
FIRE HAZARD! Fit the light so that
it is at least 0.5 m away from the
material illuminated. Fire can result
from the development of too much heat.
CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS! Make sure
that the light is switched off and has cooled
down before you touch it. Lamps can become
very hot.
Correct procedure
Examine the ceiling before installation and
choose suitable installation fixings.
For ceiling installation we have supplied fixings
suitable for ordinary solid concrete or masonry
construction.
Use 230 V∼ energy-saving bulbs with an E14 fit-
ting and a maximum power of 9 watt only.
Fit the light in such a way to ensure it is protected
from damp and dirt.
Before installation
Before installation, please familiarise yourself
with the instructions and illustrations in this
operating manual and with the light itself.
Make sure before installation that there is no
voltage on the line you will be connecting the
light to. To do this, remove the fuse or switch off
the circuit breaker in the fuse box (0 position).
Check that there is no voltage using a voltage
tester.
Installation
Note: you will need an electric drill to install the
light.
CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Please read
the operating instructions for your drill.
Remove the screws 3 on the side of the con-
nection enclosure 9.
Remove the mounting bracket 2 from the con-
nection enclosure.
