1. Clean the inside of the tank, the lid and the filter tray using a soft cloth.
2. Soak the water filter in clean water for 5 minutes.
3. Fill the tank with clean water. Note: Do not exceed the maximum water level.

Install App
Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

To register:
1. If you already have a SmarterHome account, select ‘Log In’. To register a new
account, select ‘Sign Up’.
2. ou can The system will automatically recognise your country. If needed, y manually
select your country from the drop-down box. Enter your email address and tap
‘ ’ Get Verification Code to continue.
3. digit code will be sent to the submitted email address. Enter this code before A 6-
the one- minute timer expires.
4. Continue to the next page and complete your SmarterHome profile.
CONNECT TO SMARTERHOME™ APP
Add device through network
1. Once registered, tap “ , “Add Device” on the app’s home page or the +” in the upper
right corner, to add a new device through the network.
2. The SmarterHome™ app will begin scanning for nearby devices. If it doesn’t
automatically detect the product, proceed to Step 3.
3. Select the product type from the list of options in the app ( Other > Kogan Smart
Pet Fountain).
4. Enter your Wi- ™ Fi details. It is important that your SmarterHome device and the
app are connected to the same Wi- Fi network during setup.
Notes:
• The device and the app have to use the same Wi- Fi network.
• The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.
• Depending on the product, Steps 3 and 4 may be in opposite order.
Set device in pairing mode
When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (Wi-Fi indicator
is flashing rapidly).
If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in
pairing mode:
1. Disconnect the power adapter, wait 10 seconds then reconnect it and tap “Next”.
2. Press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds until the Wi- Fi indicator begins
flashing rapidly. If the indicator is flashing slowly, press and hold the mode button
again for 5 seconds until the Wi- “ ”. Fi indicator begin flashing rapidly and tap Next
3. Tap “Confirm the indicator is fast blinking” and click “ ”.Next
4. The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure
your Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome™ device are kept close
until connection is complete.
5. After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and
assign it to a location. It will now be listed on the app’s home page. Tap the device
listing to enter its control page.
Note:
Once connected, you can select Create Scene from the “+” in the upper right
corner (or from the Scene tab) to group connected SmarterHome™ products
and automate their functions.
The prior steps detail the process for “EZ Mode” connection. If that does not work for your
connection, we suggest trying it again, and if still no success, attempting the following
method for “ ” AP Mode connection.
Using AP Mode to add device
1. Follow the previous steps to select your product type (Other > Kogan Smart Pet
Fountain).
2. Adjust your connection method by tapping on the mode type in the top-right
corner of the screen. Select “AP Mode” - for the set up type.
3. Disconnect the power adapter, wait 10 seconds then reconnect it and tap “Next”.
4. Press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds until the Wi- Fi indicator begins
flashing slowly. If the indicator is flashing , press and hold the mode buttonrapidly
again for 5 seconds until the Wi- “ ”. Fi indicator begin flashing slowly and tap Next
5. Tap “Confirm the indicator is slowly blinking” and click “ ”.Next
Notes:
• The device and the app have to use the same Wi- Fi network.
• The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.
6. Follow the in -app prompts to continue AP Mode connection, which will pair your
mobile phone to the device’s Wi- Fi hotspot to ensure a connection. This may be
named “SL- - KoganSmart”, “SmartLife XXXX”, or another similar name.
7. The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure
your Wi- ™ Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome device are kept close
until connection is complete.
8. After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and
assign it to a location. It will now be listed on the app’s home page. Tap the device
listing to enter its control page.
Note:
If the Wi-Fi hotspot does not appear on your phone in the list of available
networks, your device may not be set in AP Pairing Mode correctly. Try
repeating the steps outlined above to ensure your device is ready for

Switching Modes
This product features two different modes: normal and geyser. To switch between the two
modes, press the Mode button. Alternatively, you can swap modes using the app.
• Normal Mode: In this mode, water will flow continuously without any interruptions.
• Geyser Mode: When this mode is activated, water will flow for 5 minutes, then pause
for 5 minutes before resuming. It's important to note that during the pause, water will
collect in the lid, allowing your pet to continue drinking.
Settings
1. Tap the settings icon in the top right corner of the app to access the device
settings.
2. Tap the “Indicator” toggle to turn the device’s indicator ON/O FF.
3. Tap “Working period” to schedule the desired running time of the water fountain
and click “OK” to save it.
