PRODUCT SAFETY
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in fire and/or serious
injury.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put Personal
Blender Base, USB Adapter, USB Cable, or Battery in water or
other liquid.
3. This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge. Close supervision is necessary
when any appliance is used near children. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. Turn the appliance off, remove the Battery when not in use,
before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts. Do not attempt to override the
safety interlock mechanisms.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged Battery or
charger or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or is
dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the
nearest Authorized Service Center for examination, repair, or
electrical or mechanical adjustment.
7. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to
reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the
Blender. A scraper may be used but must be used only when
the Blender is not running.
8. Blades are sharp. Care should be taken when handling the
sharp cutting blades, emptying the jar and during cleaning.
9. Always operate Blender with cover in place.
10. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in operation.
11. Risk of thermal burn injury due to excessive pressure in the
Blender Jar. Do not blend hot liquids.

not recommended or sold by KitchenAid may cause a risk of
fire or injury to persons.

13. Refer to the “Care and Cleaning” section for instructions on
cleaning the surfaces in contact with food.
14. Disconnect the Battery from the appliance before making any
adjustments, changing accessories, or storing appliance. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the
appliance accidentally.
15. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the “off”
position before connecting to Battery, picking up or carrying the
appliance. Carrying the appliance with your finger on the
switch or energizing an appliance with the switch on invites
accidents.
16. Recharge only with the USB Adapter specified by KitchenAid.
A USB Adapter that is suitable for one type of battery may
create a risk of fire when used with another battery.
17. Use appliances only with KitchenAid 12 V Battery. Use of any
other batteries may create a risk of injury and fire.
18. When the Battery is not in use, keep it away from other metal
objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other
small metal objects, which can make a connection from one
terminal to another. Shorting the Battery terminals together
may cause burns or a fire.
19. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the
Battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with
water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the Battery may cause irritation or burns.
20. Do not use a Battery or appliance that is damaged or modified.
Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable
behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
21. Do not expose a Battery or appliance to fire or excessive
temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F may
cause explosion.
22. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the Battery
or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the
instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of
the specified range may damage the Battery and increase the
risk of fire.
23. Use only UL listed ITE/Class 2 USB source to charge this
device. Use of any non-UL listed USB sources may create a
risk of fire.
