As a trusted partner of the United States Government, Kaba Mas high security combination locks are used for GSA approved
security containers. The DKX series pedestrian door locks are used on doors to secure rooms as well as Secure Compartmented
Information Facilities (SCIFs). Both Kaba Mas products have been trusted and preferred selections by U.S. Government agencies and
Government contractors since our X-0 series was introduced in 1992.
DKX Series Type II
The Kaba Mas DKX Series was developed to meet changes to Federal Specification FF-L-2890C. These changes included a life-safety
requirement to locking devices used to protect any secure areas occupied by Government and/or cleared contractor personnel.
The Type II, approved by The General Services Administration (GSA), is comprised of a CDX-10 which is utilized with a BEST, Grade 1
- heavy duty, cylindrical lock for use on both inswing and outswing doors.
Together, it ensures simultaneous retraction of both the secondary cylindrical lock dead latch and the CDX-10 primary dead bolt. The
combination of both products ensures compliance with codes for security, fire, and life safety as well as adheres to requirements of
the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The DKX Series Type II includes integrated electrified trim that allows through-the-door wiring for electronic access control and a
request to exit switch.

• NSI/BHMA A156.2, Series 4000, Grade 1
• UFAS, ADA, IBC, NFPA Code 80/101 compliant
• ANSI/BHMA A117.1
Security
The Kaba Mas CDX-10 high-security combination lock used in tandem with the DKX Series product line meets or
exceeds performance requirements set by Federal Specification FF-L-2890C for the protection of Classified and
National Security Information (NSI).

• The 9K product is available with 2-3/4”, 3-3/4” and 5” backsets to support a wide array of installations

• The CDX-10 features a convenient back-lit LCD viewer to assist in low light usage conditions
• The DKX Series is designed to accept all GSA approved FF-L-2740B combination locks
• The 9K is available in three (3) keyed cylinder configurations; standard key in lever, with small format
interchangeable core (SFIC) or Yale large format removeable core configurations
• Training and certification are available upon request
