Introduction:
This blood pressure monitor conforms to the Euro-
pean requirements that are the basis of the Medi-
cal Products Law (CE), as well as to the European
Standard „Europanorm” EN 1060, Part 1 „Non-
Invasive blood pressure monitoring devices –
General requirements” and part 2 „Additiona
requirements for mechanical blood pressure moni-
toring devices“.
Regular calibration testing is to be carried out in ac-
cordance with the regulations existing in individual
countries.
Important:
Keep this unit from being knocked or dropped, and
protect it from dirt and moisture. Care has to be
taken not to puncture the cuff with any sharp
instruments (Scissors, Needles).
Do not inflate to above 300 mmHg !
Measurement time should be ca. 2 minutes
maximum.
Between 2 measurements allow an interval of at
least 2 minutes.
Placing the Cuff:
Place cuff in such a manner that the lower cuff
edge finishes ca. 2 – 3 cm above the elbow and
the centre of the rubber bag rests on top of the
artery.
Taking the Blood Pressure:
Inflate the cuff to above the systolic pressure. The
air release speed can be adjusted by rotating the
valve screw.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recom-
mends a deflation speed of 2 – 3 mmHg per
second.
After the measurement is completed, fully open the
ai release valve to allow for the fast deflation of
the cuff.

9Cleaning of Unit and Cuff:
– To clean the unit only use a dry, soft cloth.
– To clean the cuff – remove the rubber bag. The
exterior of the cuff can then be washed by hand
at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees
Celsius.

Wall Model:
Mount the Universal holder using the screws pro-
vided with the set. Remove knurled nut from unit.
Place unit from above into universal holder. Fasten
with knurled nut. The cuff can be stored in its space
provided on the holder.

Wall Model for Rail Mounting:
Fasten Universal holder to the rail with the accom-
panying screws. The unit can be then be fixed to
the rail clip for the standard rail systems used in
hospitals. This is done by turning the wing nut
clockwise. The cuff can be stored in the space pro-
vided on the holder.

Stand Model
Set up stand following the accompanying instruc-
tions. Fasten the Universal holder with the inner
hexagonal screw M8, also included, onto the
stand. Remove knurled nut from the unit. Fit unit
from above into the Universal holder and fasten
with knurled nut. The cuff can be stored in its res-
pective part on the holder.

There is a 2-year guarantee from date of purchase.
The conditions for guarantee are set out on the ac-
companying guarantee card.
Any guarantee is valid only if the item for return is
accompanied by the relevant guarantee card duly
completed, signed and stamped by the authorised
dealer.
For both guarantee and repair work, please send
the instrument carefully packed and postage paid
either to your authorized dealer or directly to:

Introducción:
Este aparato para la toma de la tensión arterial, se
ajusta a las normas europeas que son la base de
la Ley de Productos Médicos (CE), así como a la
Norma Europea Standar „Europanorm” EN 1060,
primera parte: „Aparatos monitorizados de toma
de la tensión sanguínea no invasivos – Requisitos
generales”, y parte segunda: „Requisitos adiciona-
les para aparatos mecánicos monitorizados para
la toma de la tensión sanguínea”.
Deben efectuarse comprobaciones periódicas de
la precisión de los datos que proporciona el apa-
rato, siguiendo las normas que regulen ese pro-
ceso en cada país en particular.
Importante:
Evite golpear a dejar caer el aparato, y manténgalo
alejado del polvo y la humedad. Procure no perfo-
rar el manguito con ningún instrumento punzante,
tales como tijeras o agujas.
No lo llene por encima de 300 mmHg !
El tiempo de la toma no debe exceder de dos
minutos.
Dejará pasar siempre un intervalo de 2 minutos
entre dos tomas consecutivas de la tensión.
Colocación del manguito:
Sitúe el manguito de modo que el borde inferior del
mismo quede 2 o 3 cm por encima del codo, y el
centro de la cámara descanse sobre la arteria.
Toma de la tensión:
Llene el manguito por encima de la presión sistó-
lica. La velocidad de salida del aire se ajustará gi-
rando la rosca de la válvula.
La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) reco-
mienda una velocidad de liberación del aire de
2 – 3 mmHg por segundo. Despues de finalizada la
toma, abra totalmente la válvula de salida de aire,
para un vaciado rápido del manguito.

La Asociación alemana de lucha contra la hiper-
tensión recomienda los siguitentes tamaños de
manguitos:
