IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
Use iron only for its intended use.
To protect against risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
The iron should always be turned o before plugging in or unplugging from the outlet. Never yank cord to disconnect from the
outlet; instead grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely before putting away. Loop cord loosely around iron when
storing.
Always disconnect iron from electric outlet when filling with water, cleaning, emptying and when not in use.
Do not operate the iron if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage to the iron or its cord, or if it’s leaking. To avoid
the risk of electric shock, do not dissemble the iron; take it to a qualified service person for examination and repair, or call the
appropriate toll-free number on the cover of this manual. Incorrect reassembly can cause risk of electric shock when the iron is
used.
Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave iron unattended when plugged in or
on an ironing board.
Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam—there may be hot water in the reservoir. Avoid rapid
movement of iron to minimize hot water spillage.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit.
If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 15-ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat.
Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
This product is for household use only.
POLARIZED PLUG (120V models only)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug
is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does nott, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover.
To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.
Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified personnel or in Latin America
by an authorized service center.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove any labels, stickers or packaging from the iron and soleplate.
Before using the iron for the first time, or if it’s not been used for a long time, iron a
scrap piece of cotton (an old towel is ideal) to remove any accumulated residues.
Don’t worry if the iron smokes a bit at first, it will soon stop as the manufacturing
residues evaporate.
FILLING/REFILLING
Don’t add anything to the water and don’t use water with anything added to it.
When the water is converted to steam, chemicals, perfume, and other additives will
coat the inside of the steam chamber, shortening the life of the iron.
1. Remove the reservoir by pulling it away from the body of the steam generator using
the grip on the front of the reservoir .
2. Fill the reservoir to the mark. Do not exceed the mark.max max
3. Refit the reservoir into the base unit.
PRELIMINARY SETTINGS
1. Put the iron on top of the base unit.
2. Put the plug into the power socket (switch the socket on, if it’s switchable).
3. Turn the unit on by setting the on/off button to .I
4. Turn the temperature control dial to the appropriate setting for your fabric.
The thermostat light will flash until the iron has reached its desired temperature.
Once the temperature has been reached the light will remain on.
This will take
30-60 seconds after you first switch on your steam station.
TEMPERATURE SELECTION GUIDE
1. Check for textile care symbols
2. Iron fabrics needing low temperatures first, then those that need medium
temperatures , and finish with those needing high temperatures (or max).
3. Turn the temperature control dial to the appropriate setting for your fabric.
If the instructions on the fabric label differ from this guide, follow the instructions
on the label.
