Clean the appliance and all accessories of packaging dust and remnants
according to the advice given in the chapter “Maintenance, Cleaning and Care”.
Then rinse the inside of the container thoroughly with clean water.
Before using the heated beverage dispenser for the first time, you
must carry out 2 to 3 heating processes with clear water (approx. 5 L) as
described in the "Operation" chapter in order to remove any residues
left over from the manufacturing process.
CAUTION!
Note: Before each use, please ensure that the screw cap 3
at the upper end of the fill level indicator 5 is tightened
so that the plastic tube at the lower end is well sealed.
16
Operation
Using the appliance
Never operate the heated beverage dispenser when it is empty as the
base of the container becomes very hot and can emit odors. If you
accidentally turn the heated beverage dispenser on when it is empty, a
reversible temperature circuit breaker cuts off the power supply. In this
case, disconnect the heated beverage dispenser from the mains and
leave it to cool down completely. To switch the heated beverage
dispenser back on, proceed as described in the chapter "Resetting the
temperature circuit breaker".

Operation
Lid with lock
WARNING!
The lid handle is not suitable for lifting or carrying the
heated beverage dispenser. Always use the container
handles when lifting or carrying the heated beverage
dispenser.
The lid 1 can be locked by turning it clockwise after it has been placed on the
container 4. To do so, place the lid 1 on the container 4, so that the lid
handle 1 is slightly offset to the handles 13 on the container 4. Now turn
the lid 1 as far as it will go in a clockwise direction. The handle on the lid 1
is now flush with the container handles 13 . The lid 1 is now firmly closed and
can no longer be removed upwards.
To be able to remove the lid 1 again, turn it a little counter-clockwise and
remove it upwards.
Warming/boiling liquids
Place the heated beverage dispenser close to an electrical socket, ensuring that
the socket is freely accessible.
Turn the temperature control dial 11 counter-clockwise as far as it will go.
Set the ON/OFF switch (I/O) 7 to 0 (OFF).
Make sure that the tap lever 12 is in the vertical (closed) position. In the upright
position, the tap lever 12 is permanently open.
Fill the container 4 with liquid such as mulled wine or tea. Note the MIN fill
quantity of approx. 3 L and the MAX fill quantity of approx. 16 L.
Now put the lid on and turn it clockwise as far as it will go so that the guides on
the side of the lid 1 slide into the grooves in the container handles 13 .
Connect the appliance to the electrical socket.
Switch the heated beverage dispenser on by setting the ON/OFF switch 7 to
the I (ON) position.
Turn the temperature control dial 11 to the desired temperature. The heating
indicator lamp 6 glows and shows the heating process. When the desired
temperature is reached, the heating indicator lamp 6 goes out and the keep
warm indicator lamp 8 comes on.
20
If you want to use the appliance for preserving, place the wire rack 14 included
in the delivery on the bottom inside the container 4. The projections (support
legs) of the wire rack 14 must point downwards.
Place the prepared preserving jars on the wire rack 14 .
Now fill with enough water so that about a quarter of each preserving jar is above
the water.
Put the lid 1 on and lock it.
Switch on the heated beverage dispenser and set the required temperature on
the temperature control dial 11 .
Note: Cooking time and temperature depend on the type and amount of ingredients
used. Be guided by the information in your recipe.
After the boiling time, turn the temperature control dial 11 counter-clockwise as
far as it will go and switch the appliance off at the ON/OFF switch 7.
• Remove the mains plug from the electrical socket.
Empty the liquid as described under “Emptying the liquid".
Open the lid carefully and remove the preserving jars. Take care as the jars can be
very hot.
Leave the contents of the appliance to cool down completely and then pour the
remaining water out of the container 4.
Resetting the Temperature Circuit Breaker
If the heated beverage dispenser is operated without or with too little liquid and
overheats, the temperature circuit breaker automatically switches the heated
beverage dispenser off and the appliance can no longer be operated until the
"RESET" switch 9 on the underside of the appliance is pressed. To be able to
operate the heated beverage dispenser again, proceed as follows:
Switch the heated beverage dispenser off and disconnect it from the mains.
Leave the heated beverage dispenser and its contents to cool down completely.
Open the lid 1 and empty the container 4.
Carefully lay the appliance on its side so that the underside of the appliance is
accessible.
Operation
21
On the underside of the appliance you will find a small, rod-shaped notch that
represents the "RESET" switch 9. Press the "RESET" switch towards the housing
until you hear and feel a click to activate the switch (see ).fig. C
Return the appliance to the upright position.
Reconnect the appliance to the mains and switch it on briefly. If the heating
indicator lamp lights up (when the temperature control dial 11 is turned
clockwise), the temperature circuit breaker has been successfully reset.
Switch the appliance off again immediately to prevent it from overheating once
more.
If the heating indicator lamp 6 does not light up, repeat the process.
If the temperature circuit breaker has been successfully reset, you can operate the
appliance again as usual.
