On Handling USB Flash drive
This unit can control a memory storage device that
supports the USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) protocol.
Playable audio file formats are MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC,
WAV and APE.
USB Flash drive function is not guaranteed. Use a USB
flash drive according to the terms of agreement. Read the
USB flash drive Owners Manual thoroughly.
Avoid usage or storage in the following locations:
Anywhere in the car exposed to direct sunlight or high
temperatures.
Anywhere the possibility of high humidity or corrosive
substances are present.
Fix the USB flash drive in a location where driver
operation will not be hindered.
USB Flash drive may not function correctly at high or low
temperature.
Use only certified USB flash drive. Note that even certified
USB flash drive, may not function correctly depending on
its type or state.
Depending on the settings of the USB flash drive type,
memory state or encoding software, the unit may not
play back or display properly.
USB Flash drive may take time to start playback. If there is
a particular file other than audio in the USB flash drive, it
may take considerable time before the file is played back
or searched.
The unit can play back “mp3, “wma, “m4a, “flac, ”fla,
“wav, and ape” file extensions.
Do not add the above extensions to a file other than
audio data. This non-audio data will not be recognized.
The resulting playback may contain noise that can
damage speakers and/or amplifiers.
It is recommended to back up important data on a
personal computer.
Do not remove the USB device while playback is in
progress. Change SOURCE to something other than USB,
then remove the USB device to prevent possible damage
to its memory.

Wi-Fi Setup
[Wi-Fi] is selected on the Device Setup menu screen.
Setting the Wi-Fi Mode
Set the Wi-Fi mode according to the environment in which
Wi-Fi is used.
Setting item:
Wi-Fi Mode
Setting contents:
OFF (Initial setting) / Internet Mode / Phone Link Mode
OFF: Wi-Fi is Off.
Internet Mode: Select this item when connecting to
a Wi-Fi access point with an internet
connection and using TIDAL.
When the Internet Mode is selected,
the Wi-Fi Management setting is
enabled. For details, see “Connecting
the Wi-Fi Access Point” (page 16).
Phone Link Mode: Select this item to use Apple CarPlay
with a wireless connection.
When the Phone Link Mode is
selected, the PSK for Phone Link
setting is enabled. For details, see
“Changing the Wi-Fi password of the
unit” (page 17).
Wireless Apple CarPlay is not available when the Internet
Mode is selected. If you want to use a device that works with
an internet connection (such as TIDAL) and Apple CarPlay
at the same time, connect your iPhone via USB.
Connecting to Wi-Fi Access Point
To use TIDAL, it is necessary to connect to a Wi-Fi access
point with a valid internet connection.
Available only when “Wi-Fi Mode” setting is [Internet Mode]
(page 16).
Data rates may apply. Please check with your carrier for
details.

Wi-Fi Management
1 Touch to select [Wi-Fi Management].
The Wi-Fi Access Point List screen is displayed.
2 Touch to select [Search].
Search for the Wi-Fi access point. Once the search is
finished, the Wi-Fi New Access Points screen is
displayed.
The connected access points are not displayed on the
search screen.
3 Touch to select the access point in the list to
connect.
The password input screen is displayed.
When you touch [Add Network] on the Wi-Fi New
Access Points screen, you can connect to a new access
point by manually entering the SSID, security and
password for the access point. 1 to 32 characters can
be input for the SSID, and 8 to 64 characters for the
password. If [ ] is entered for security, password None
input is not required.
4 Enter a password, then touch to select
[DONE].
Touch [ ] to delete an entered number.
