Resistant to Dust and Fresh Water (i209 Only)
IP53 rating Resistant to Dust and Fresh Water. Rated IP53 under IEC standard 60529.
IP test condition
This product has been tested in a controlled, laboratory environment with an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of IP53
under IEC standard 60529, which is an international standard for measuring the level of protection from dust and
fresh water.
The IP rating is a 2-digit code – the first digit indicates the protection level against dust, and the second digit
indicates the protection level against fresh water.
IP53 means protected against dust with limited ingress, and protected against spraying fresh water up to 60
degrees from vertical.
Terms of Use and Risk
Although this product is rated IP53, it is not impervious to dust or water damage in all situations.
Dust and water resistance is not permanent; resistance may decrease as a result of normal wear or other
damage to the product.
Do not expose to sea/salt water, chlorinated water, mud, detergent or other liquids.
Do not expose to prolonged rain, fog, humidity, temperature changes or other prolonged weather and
environmental conditions. Condensation, moisture or debris may accumulate in the product. Close vehicle
windows, roof and other openings to avoid exposure to the product.
If the product gets wet, dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Open/close the product nose with care – dust or water may enter the product.

Failure to install the product as directed in the installation manual may degrade dust and water resistance.
